The Captain Poll is now open for votes ahead of Gameweek 4 and you can watch our video on the best candidates for the armband below or on our YouTube channel.

The early favourite is Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) who faces an appealing home match-up against Newcastle, a side he is very fond of.

The Manchester City striker has scored 11 goals in his last five home meetings with the Magpies and has already netted a hat-trick in front of his own supporters this season.

With the champions set for the most attractive fixture of the week, options such as Benjamin Mendy (£6.3m) will get consideration as well as David Silva (£8.5m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.0m) if he can hold on to his place.

Also with an appealing match-up is Chelsea, who host the porous Bournemouth defence in Gameweek 4. The Cherries have only allowed two big chances so far in 2018/19, although that does include facing a goal shy Cardiff and they have still conceded three goals in as many matches.

Eden Hazard (£10.6m) is obviously the standout candidate with two assists and goal from just one start and two subsitute appearances in the first three Gameweeks of the season.

However, Pedro (£6.6m) is also an option for those unable to shoehorn the Belgian international into their sides.

As ever, Marcos Alonso (£6.7m) will form part of the conversation now that he has registered a minimum of 11 points in every match so far and has had more shots on goal than any other defender.

Of course Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) has to still be in the conversation as he’s joint-top for shots amongst all players and has created more chances than anyone else.

    Bench one this week:

    A) King (CHE - A)
    B) Gundogan (NEW - H)
    C) Neves (WHU - A)

As West Ham have the joint leakiest defence in the league, I would play Neves. Tough call between A and B after that - Gundogan might not have lots of goal involvement, but Bournemouth might not have lots of goals full stop. Bench A...?

Hi guys! I need some advice for a 11-man domestic fantasy. Which combination do you prefer?

    A) Tosun/Walcott + Milner + Luiz
    B) Auba + Guendozi + AWB
    C) Zaha + Milner + Luiz
    D) Sanchez + Luiz + Guendozi
    E) Sanchez + AWB + Milner
    F) Sanchez + Guendozi + Luiz

Walcott, Sanchez and Zaha are all classified as strikers. Milner as a midfielder.

    Point system

    Goal: 4 (Forwards) 5 (midfielders) 6 (defenders)
    Assists: 2 points
    CS: 2 (defenders) 0 (midfielders/strikers)
    Win: 1
    Loss: -1
    Draw: 0

    No such thing as BPS

Hope you don't mind it is not FPL related and still want to help out though it is less relevant for you guys. Sorry for long post

Some wierd combinations. I would not touch Sanchez, so i think A has the biggest potential.

      1. FC Hakkebøf
        • 9 Years

The fantasy is really financially restricted. AWB + Guendozi are the cheapest players you can get. Sanchez is undervalued if you compare him to FPL. Only reason why I'm considering him. Auba for instance cost 2 millions more than Sanchez.

I think Bilva, Moura and Mkhi will be solid picks all season with a hint of rotation throughout though. I think the key is to get 1 or 2 of them along with a strong bench and just leave them in for the Medium /long term and expect good returns on average with a few benchings here and there. Kind of like faux big hitters they are

I mostly agree although i feel Bilva will be more of a bench player when KDB returns so maybe not a solid pick for the whole season.

Son will want his place back when he returns as well, let's not forget how well he has done the past 2 seasons.

    This is my gw4 team

    Kepa
    VVD, Trippier, Mendy, Luiz, WB
    Salah, Hazard
    Mitrovic, Aguero(c), King

    Bench: Stekelenburg, Neves, Fraser, Masuaku

Planning ahead; VVD and Luiz to TAA and Alonso next week. Then saving free transfer in gw6 and then getting Kane in for Mitro/King for games against Hud and Car by downgrading Salah for Richarlison who gets back and plays Fulham and Leicester while Mo has Chelsea away and City at home. After those two weeks I switch it back to the state before. What do you think abou that? Could be maverick but could also backfire..

Exactly. He's burnt me before (twice last season when he dried up as soon as I brought him in) and I'd thought he'd become more defensive in a back four, but it just isn't so. More offensive under Sari if anything. I've just taken a hot to bring him in which I swore I wouldn't do so early in the season.

      It totally depends.

VVD, Tomkins and Cook are perfectly serviceable. Different from the obvious template but solid.

Your midfield is a hit away from being fine imo. Downgrade Rich and upgrade Siggy.
And upfront, who would you go for? If you want to squeeze Kane in, then a WC. If you arent desperate for Kane yet, King is fine, Wilson is a bit sideways.

WC is understandable but you could survive on this team with a -4 imo.

In 2 Last Man Standing tournaments, both for money

Game 1: I've used Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal
Game 2: I've used Bournemouth, Spurs and Liverpool

Who should I pick next for both tournaments I'm in? I would preferably have 2 different selections so I don't go out of both if the worst does happen

    RMWCT

    Ederson / Hammer
    Robertson / Alonso / Mendy
    Salah / Hazard / Pereyra / Jorginho / Guendouzi
    Aguero / Mitrovic / Wilson

    0.9 itb.

Its a little templatey, but those standard assets have been proving so reliable so far I cant go without. To get Kane in would require one hit, and it would probably be Hazard > Cairney and then Wilson > Kane.

Needs a 4th defender in 4-3-3. Those last two mids are shocking.

Wouldn't take a hit for that. Also wait and see the extent of Trippier and Tomkins injuries.

Thoughts on Bennet 4.0 Wolves Def
Just wondering how safe his starting role is
Any Wolves supporters or anyone’s thoughts on this would be very useful

I'd imagine Dendoncker and Saiss will be a threat to his place when they return

Wolves have Dendoncker on loan who is probably the biggest threat to Bennett's place.

Ok thanks wasn’t sure if they normally play 3 at the back but if there’s more competition for his place I might leave him be

Spurs didn't punish Loris for drink driving. You think Aguero will be punished for what he done?

Smoked shisha - surely much better than drink driving like Lloris

The average shisha-smoking session lasts an hour and research has shown that in this time you can inhale the same amount of smoke as from more than 100 cigarettes. Some people mistakenly think that shisha smoking is not addictive because the water used in the pipe can absorb nicotine.

Definitely not arrest worthy or bad as drunk driving- just not good for your lungs!

Agreed that it's stupid - but I actually think it would send a weird signal if he got benched because of that - while Lloris got to play. We have no idea of knowing if he actually participated for a whole hour either, while being drunk is drunk.

I don’t think so - most media reporting that it ISN’T going to be an issue.

I don't think they will, Pep seems quite laid back about it so cant see him dropping his star strikers especially after a draw

Thanks - though was thinking usual default will be to play 3-5-2 - only this week Wilson away to Chels seems wiser to put on bench?

          Still a better option imho.
Wolves are looking like pulling themselves together + I would either go with Robbo or without pool def with their fixtures.
          Good luck

Too many CB options. Kompany was terrible so Stones or Ota back in imo.
