The Captain Poll is now open for votes ahead of Gameweek 4 and you can watch our video on the best candidates for the armband below or on our YouTube channel.

The early favourite is Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) who faces an appealing home match-up against Newcastle, a side he is very fond of.

The Manchester City striker has scored 11 goals in his last five home meetings with the Magpies and has already netted a hat-trick in front of his own supporters this season.

With the champions set for the most attractive fixture of the week, options such as Benjamin Mendy (£6.3m) will get consideration as well as David Silva (£8.5m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.0m) if he can hold on to his place.

Also with an appealing match-up is Chelsea, who host the porous Bournemouth defence in Gameweek 4. The Cherries have only allowed two big chances so far in 2018/19, although that does include facing a goal shy Cardiff and they have still conceded three goals in as many matches.

Eden Hazard (£10.6m) is obviously the standout candidate with two assists and goal from just one start and two subsitute appearances in the first three Gameweeks of the season.

However, Pedro (£6.6m) is also an option for those unable to shoehorn the Belgian international into their sides.

As ever, Marcos Alonso (£6.7m) will form part of the conversation now that he has registered a minimum of 11 points in every match so far and has had more shots on goal than any other defender.

Of course Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) has to still be in the conversation as he’s joint-top for shots amongst all players and has created more chances than anyone else.

Mendy will outscore Walker by 30-50 through season, so if it's long-term, think about it 😉

Not a great surprise really. Mendy has been given plenty of attention by pundits too, so the MOTD viewers are piling in on him now.

Hey all, reckon a WC is do?

    Current team is:
    Foster - Patrico
    Mendy - Robertson - David Luiz - Peltier - Wan-Bissaka
    Salah - B Silva - Mhikitaryan - Walcott - Stephens
    Aguero - Morata - Zaha
    Draft is
    Foster - Patrico
Mendy - Robertson - Bellerin - Bennett - Wan Bissaka
    Hazard - B Silva Mkhitaryan - Mane - Moura -
    Aguero - Jimenes - Zaha

Too much of a kneejerk? Feel like I must unload Morata

Hi guys! I need some advice for a 11-man domestic fantasy. The game is way more financially restricted than FPL, which means your forced to put some 'magic beans' in the team from time to time. Which combination do you prefer?

    A) Tosun/Walcott + Milner + Gomez/Alderweireld
    B) Tosun/Walcott + Moura + AWB
    C) Auba + Guendozi + AWB
    D) Zaha + Milner + Gomez/Alderweireld
    E) Sanchez + Milner + AWB

Walcott and Zaha are all classified as strikers. Milner as a midfielder.

    Point system

    Goal: 4 (Forwards) 5 (midfielders) 6 (defenders)
    Assists: 2 points
    CS: 2 (defenders) 0 (midfielders/strikers)
    Win: 1
    Loss: -1
    Draw: 0

    No such thing as BPS

Hope you don't mind it is not FPL related and still want to help out though it is less relevant for you guys. Sorry for long post

I like Milner as an option. XGLA is very high and having pens basically guarantees a return every 4/5 weeks IMO.
I’ll be getting him in if he keeps starting

My team looks solid for this week but I’m lacking Trippier, Hazard, Alonso, Moura etc - lots of options I want but obviously can’t have everyone.

Since my team is solid should I just pray I don’t get punished this week?

      Pray that your players perform

Being non-owner wont hurt you as much as your own team failing to produce anything 😮

Thoughts on Gundogan as an option for Richarlison replacement?

5.5 and 2 very easy fixtures where City could score a combined 5+ goals and you would hope he would be involved..

    1. Mcgugan
      • 15 Years

      Good option IMO.

I have done it. I just think looking at City's next 4 games Newc (H), Ful (H) Cardiff (A) Brighton (H) they could score 3+ every game...

If he starts he should be involved. Is he likely to start is the question?

Annoyed with myself that I have ended up on a -8 going into GW4, but it is what it is...
    How does this lot look?

Plan would be to consider dropping one of Mané or Robertson for a Spurs asset if they continue to impress next week.

    Foster
    Robbo, Mendy, Alonso, PVA
    Salah, Mané, Mkhi, Walcott
    Aguero (C), Wilson

    (Fab) (Hughes, Wan-B, Kamara)

Amazing how much difference a week can make. This looked OK before GW3.

    Ederson (Hamer)
    Robertson, Luiz, PVA, AWB (Ream*)
    Salah, Mané, Mkhitaryan (Richarlison*, Cairney*)
    Aguero, Arnautovic*, Ings

Would you WC to fix, or take up to a -4? No Mendy OR Alonso is hurting. And question marks creeping in over my mid/attack too.

Kun and Salah - specially due to their price tag - leaves you more space to maneuver if need so...

Vardy and Cahill quit England and give almost the same speech verbatim about how they've not shut the door and if there are injuries then of course blah blah...

Anyone else find that a bit too much of a coincidence?
