The Captain Poll is now open for votes ahead of Gameweek 4 and you can watch our video on the best candidates for the armband below or on our YouTube channel.

The early favourite is Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) who faces an appealing home match-up against Newcastle, a side he is very fond of.

The Manchester City striker has scored 11 goals in his last five home meetings with the Magpies and has already netted a hat-trick in front of his own supporters this season.

With the champions set for the most attractive fixture of the week, options such as Benjamin Mendy (£6.3m) will get consideration as well as David Silva (£8.5m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.0m) if he can hold on to his place.

Also with an appealing match-up is Chelsea, who host the porous Bournemouth defence in Gameweek 4. The Cherries have only allowed two big chances so far in 2018/19, although that does include facing a goal shy Cardiff and they have still conceded three goals in as many matches.

Eden Hazard (£10.6m) is obviously the standout candidate with two assists and goal from just one start and two subsitute appearances in the first three Gameweeks of the season.

However, Pedro (£6.6m) is also an option for those unable to shoehorn the Belgian international into their sides.

As ever, Marcos Alonso (£6.7m) will form part of the conversation now that he has registered a minimum of 11 points in every match so far and has had more shots on goal than any other defender.

Of course Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) has to still be in the conversation as he’s joint-top for shots amongst all players and has created more chances than anyone else.

It sounds like he's out for tonight's cup game, he's being monitored and it could go either way. Claret and Hugh (self proclaimed ITK) website says they are quietly confident.

        Interesting.

I read it was a knock. Not a strain/sprain/twist. So hopefully run it off this week.

    Are Patricio owners keeping now?
Many (myself included) were ready to bail - is it just a case of 'other fires'?

Happy enough with him. He's a top keeper, and Wolves could play some smart football.

But yes, there's also a mass of other fires to fight

I did the move after GW2 with no other pressing matters and 2FT. Don't think it's worth a transfer otherwise.

(with hindsight, Walker - - > Alonso was a more pressing matter, but I've now corrected that!)

  4. Don Kloppeone

    Bottomed(-ish)

Annoyed with myself that I have ended up on a -8 going into GW4, but it is what it is...
    How does this lot look?

Plan would be to consider dropping one of Mané or Robertson for a Spurs asset if they continue to impress next week.

    Foster
    Robbo, Mendy, Alonso, PVA
    Salah, Mané, Mkhi, Walcott
    Aguero (C), Wilson

    (Fab) (Wan-B, Hughes, Kamara)

Thoughts on team and bench/ capt choices? Foster v Fab?

    Cheers!

    GTG for this GW?
    Pickford
    TAA, AWB, Alonso, Mendy
    Hazard, Salah, Lucas
    Kun, Zaha, Jimenez
Speroni, Fraser, Kabsele, Odoi (0.7 ITB)

    Opinions pleaseeee

    1. Chockky
      • 8 Years

Keeper- looks good against a weak attacking Hud

Def- TAA may be roated this week( heard klopp saying about roating and TAA could end up Clyne as he has 3 yellow from 3) AWB, MEndy,ALonso very strong with good fixtures

Mid-i like all 3 are doing well and can see them hauling. first 2 need a say anything! Lucas i feel will do well at Watford who seem a bit weak Defensively

Forwards- Kun Zaha really nice. Jimenez im not so sure on but can see him being better than Fraser due to fixture and west ham are leaky at the moment

IMO i think that is G2G well balanced team

      1. Chockky

*Klopp meantioned about rotation in team so could be anybody so TAA maybe safe as he is doing well other then being a yellow magnet 😛

Planned to get rid of lucas, only kept cause i hate Man U and look how that turned out hahaha... so got rid of rich instead, hazard took the pen on weekend so thats a bonus and was at centre of everything.

Struggling for capt but i support city and remember aguero backing 3 in bout 10 mins last season so probs sergio with Hazard as vice

A few predictions for this GW.

Chelsea are going to get into a bit of trouble with the Cherries but will ultimately be too strong. Hazard is going be throttled in a packed midfield with the lack of width under Sari - will see Alonso blank. (I hope not as I've transferred him in, but think Howe will set up to contain those specific threats - with Morata looking impotent and Kante too wide). Wilson and Dave points. 2-1

Everton are going to topple Huddersfield and concede at least one with Zouma coming in for Keane — Walcott playing as main threat, like Hazard will also be throttled — the party will be Tosun's. Expecting Bernard to start for Richarlison. 3-2. Coleman among the points.

Man City are going to get 4 against Newcastle and top on goal difference. Can't see anyway out for the Barcodes. Even a parked bus and class performance from Lascelles (back in) and Dubravka wont save them. Sterling to come into real contention. D Silva 90. Mahrez benched. Kun's day again. 4-0.

Spurs and Arsenal drop points with score draws away from home at Watford and Cardiff. 2-2 and 1-1. Pereyra rewarding buyers. Peltier cameo. Auba MIA.

Leicester give away an early lead in Liverpool game. Salah to score one and make one. Mane getting in on it again to punish sales. 1-3.

Palace CS and win at home to relegation fodder Saints including a rare Benteke goal. Maybe scored with his lower back or ear. 2-0

Fulham and Wolves summer signings come good again with a pair of away victories. 1-2 respectively. Arnie starts and scores.

Mourinho to recover his chances of a season long thumbing of the press with defeat of europa-cup-less-Burnley. 0-2.

This game gets more unpredictable by the week.
      After gw1 I was 45k with 96 points.
Gw 2 I got 86 points with a gw rank of 392k and dropped 4k.
Gw 3 I scored 52 points with a gw rank of 2.24 million and went up 4k.

So unpredictable with all the one week teams after the manager of the week trophy.

      Hi,

Trying to get some advice on a team including Kane, Kun and Hazard. See below.

      Hennessey 4m
      Mendy Alonso TAA 4m 4m
      Mane Hazard Walcott Fraser 4.5m
      Kane Kun Jimenez

      What do you think?

Bench would be too weak imo meaning youd be counting on fraser and Jimenez every week... Id downgrade mane to milner maybe and upgrade a defender and midfielder

        Is this on a WC?

If so, make sure you have a strong bench. Rotation will be kicking off with Europe / domestic cups, so you need to be prepared now or spend the rest of your season just treading water

I think that works and looks nice, though I meant want to go for a bit more in goal. I have started the season with the 4.5 + 4.0 but plan to rotate when I wildcard.

I think it's definitely viable to play 2 of Wan-Bissaka, Bennett, Jimenez, Fraser each week. Maybe Ings edges Jimenez for me but then again less nailed.

Very tempted to go Salah-less and wildcard to this:

      4.5 / 4.0

      Mendy / Robertson / Holebas / AWB / Bennett

      Hazard / Mane / Mkhi / Neves / 4.5

      Kane / Kun / Mitro

Gives me at least 5 pen takers, multiple set piece takers and some flexibility with high priced players across the team...

Just scared sh*tless not owning Salah

Don't force an early wildcard. Still so many uncertainties regarding the starting lineups for Arsenal, Chelsea and City. You will just end up taking loads of hits, if you do WIldcard now. That being said, I need to know the pre-wildcard team.

          Pre:

          Hart / 4.0

          Mendy / Holebas / Daniels / Boly / AWB

          Salah / Mane / B.Silva / Mkhi / Gunnarson

          Kun / Arnie / Zaha

Have 1ft so may just ship Hart and stick with it but I feel all the players on my wildcard are pretty nailed on?

But that being said, your team still looks pretty good. Not sure if it is worth a wildcard though. What if Aguero becomes a rotation risk? What if Kane startings firing? Too many what if's hanging in the air at the moment.

I think he will rotate with Holebas for a little while with AWB starting. Not the best points potential in that respect though I agree

(RP - no love for previous post - giving it another go)

I need some advice for a (11-man) domestic fantasy football game. The game is way more financially restricted than FPL, which means your forced to put some 'magic beans' in the team from time to time. Which combination do you prefer?

      A) Tosun/Walcott/Zaha + Milner + Gomez/Alderweireld
      B) Tosun/Walcott/Zaha + Moura + AWB
      C) Auba + Guendozi + AWB
      D) Sanchez + Milner + AWB

Sanchez, Zaha and Wally are all classified as strikers. Milner as a midfielder. If you decide I should go with A or B, let me know which forward you prefer.

      Point system

      Goal: 4 (Forwards) 5 (midfielders) 6 (defenders)
      Assists: 2 points
      CS: 2 (defenders) 0 (midfielders/strikers)
      Win: 1
      Loss: -1
      Draw: 0

Hope you don't mind it is not FPL related and still want to help out though it is less relevant for you guys. Sorry for long post

Thanks buddy. I think its relatively tough to chose between those options. Leaning towards B with Tosun my self (average player compared to Zaha, but I rate Everton over CRP). D seems the most safe option because of Auba though. I think he can do really well. But if he is going to play on the wing, I find him way to expensive

Laca came on early at the weekend and is pushing for a start. The wider package of B is better than Auba IMO

I actually could replace Sanchez with Laca in option D. Which would be ideal, but I need a guaranteed start.
But yeah B seems like the best option. Afraid to go without Milner though, All these odd penalties will come back to bite me in the arse. But he could be a rotation worry long term.

Well it used to coincide with the end of the transfer window. So a GW5 WC was logical to see who starts where as new players were added. Now that's moot an early WC doesn't seem as bad an idea.

Which is great. There's always an element of luck choosing right players at beginning of season. Get it 80% right and you're set for a much later WC – maybe saved to when injuries/suspensions are a bigger problem.

Jimenez isnt a bad shout with fixtures... i personally play a 4-3-3 so could look to bring zaha in for gray? And maybe mitro or jimenez for ings... although ings isnt a bad 3rd striker so maybe upgrade gray to zaha and see how that works for you.

If 7 is your absolute max:

Pedro - Attacking, good fixtures, having lots of attempts, risk of rotation
Wally - Same as Pedro, but poor underlying stats. More nailed. V. popular here
Pereyra, F Anderson, Gross, Maddison, Mili all other honourable mentions. Pedro for me.

Leave Mane, losing him for a hit is not great but I'd be tempted by Walcott. I expect he'll out score Cairney comfortably (at least make up the 4 pts within next 2 weeks).

I'm still not convinced Hazard is worth 10.5m. Sacrificing Mane to get him in as well doesn't seem right.

I found Hazard a very frustrating player to own in seasons past as well. Great player no doubt but as a 10.5m FPL asset I don't know.

is he explosive though? He's not a guy who grabs tons of goals/assists - his performances impress more than anything and he does get big goals in big games.

Has he ever scored more than 15 PL goals in a season?

I haven’t got him yet but want him, he’s done me proud in the past and he’s been frustrating but I feel under Sarri he will have a great season.

People are betting on Sarri's system suiting him more, or atleast i am. Hes pretty streaky, so hes not a player to kneejerk in and out. Just get him and hold. Never captain away from home

If you have to pay 10,5 for someone, you should expect him to be the captain material. Would you captain Hazard when you have Salah or Aguero in great shape and scoring? Kane is going better and better every week. Don't know. He is great player but is he really worth it?

Theo. Watford's fixtures stink from now on

Both decent options. Watford tougher fixtures so Wally edges it for me.

Utd and their fans wouldn't get so much stick, if they didn't carry on like they are the best team in the country, which they quite clearly are not!!

What do you think of this wildcard draft?

              Ryan - Button
              Mendy - TTA - Holebas - Boly - Wan B
              Hazard - Walcott - Mkhy - Neves - Mane
              Kane - Aguero - Kamara--

It’s not for me. Sacrificed a lot for Kane who isn’t worth 12.5

Have to agree with Zico Senna. You've dropped Salah and taken some nice punts, but I feel you would need the rest of your team to be solid to let the punts pay off for you, if you get what I mean. Just one of the 3 big, popular premiums defenders plus having to play 2 of Holebas, Boly, Wan B and Neves each week just isn't for me - All the cash is being eaten up by Kane

I'd downgrade Kane and use the cash elsewhere. I know you are probably very eager to get Kane in on your WC, but I don't think this team is the way to do it, sorry 🙁

Thanks for the feedback, I am chasing as it is and Kane seems to be the only real differential in the league
