There's always a chance he starts and there's a chance he won't start. I think it's better to avoid frustration and find value elswhere. I'd try to find Hazard or Mané or get a 6.5-7 value mid even if they get 2-3 every week you won't be worrying whether they feature or not. Best to go Agüero and Mendy and possibly Ederson if we can string together cleansheets. Would have had one last week if VAR was a thing lol.

I've got PVA and AWB. I'd definitely play Zaha if I had him. I'm currently struggling on whether to play PVA over Tosun or Mkhitaryan. AWB first sub.

Man, I think rationally it has to PVA, but I would hate to have him and WB benched and them both to get returns while Tosun is absent. I'd probably bench Tosun for fear of just that.

Yeah maybe palace has a better chance of getting a cleansheet than Tosun getting his first 2 goals of the season in 1 game.

            8 years, 4 days ago

Cheers I don't think I can go wrong really. In my past experience, Arsenal has let me down when I expected more. I feel like Tosun deserves at least one more chance after providing 2 assists from 3 and against the worst defense now. And I picked Van Aanholt gw 1 because I love him and he won me $200 in the last gw last year lol. So just me giving players a potential last hoorah I guess.

They're all good picks, nothing wrong with having them, but setting up your squad so that one of them has to be benched every week could've been avoided.

                • 15 Years
                8 years, 4 days ago

Yeah, but the thing is team value is very important to me and I would like a squad no one can afford during my January wildcard. Having good players will increase the chances of that. If 15 of my players have stars next to their names I will be so happy.

You have to bench boost imo. I think triple captain and free hit are better DGW chips. It's rare to have all 15 players starting, nevermind all having decent fixtures. I usually use the bench boost chip shortly after a wildcard for this reason - it's typically the period in the season when you have a bunch of starters and no injury concerns.

Why do people buy Ings if they're not even sure they'll play him over AWB?

I'm sure they'll be pondering over this next week as well. Is he a 5.5m rotation pick?

    1. Pierce34
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 4 days ago

The amount of people prepared to play triple Palace defence over one of their attackers is surprising.

      1. bdwhite91

Its just that AWB, PVA, and basically all fullbacks are very attacking now.

      2. Carlton_Goal
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 4 days ago

Why? If you think Ings won't score and Palace will keep a clean sheet then there's no issue. You pick who you think will get the most points

        1. Pierce34
          • 10 Years
          8 years, 4 days ago

I don't think Crystal Palace are as good as people here make them out. They're probably more likely to keep a clean sheet than Ings is to score, but Southampton as a whole are definitely more likely to score than not in my opinion.

Depends on the rest of my team. Won't necessarily be a choice between these 2 every week. But yes, I'd play Ings because I think he will do well at home to Brighton

any hammers fans know how Pellegrini is likely to line-up in attack. Seems to be a trial and error with Lucas or Chicaritto playing alongside or in front of Arnie.

      Arnie is nailed, Anderson too.
Then the other two attacking places are up for grabs between Antonio, Perez, Snodgrass, Yarmolenko.

If you looking at gw4, I would say Mendy, Aguero, Salah, Robertson can go wild. Mitrovic, Jiminez, Hazard, Fraser, Alonso, D.Silva maybe.

    Shaw, Robertson, Mendy (AWB, Bednarek)
Mahrez, Pedro, Salah (VC), Moura, Mane
    Aguero (C), Wilson (Kamara)

I dont know what was I thinking doing Richarlison > Moura. I see his position as good as Salah. G2G or ditch Mahrez (-4)?

For Neves owners, he is not on pen because he is not good at it. Pretty sure Jimenez will take it, he is unique on penalty and hold record 21/21 or something like that
Search youtube and you will see it, similar to Jorginho's penalty.

No but I have follow Wolves since this summer, Jimenez has been one of their best player so far. Even if Jimenez out of form, Jota will play centre with Costa and Traore

I've considered it. One of my mini league rivals captained him against Huddersfield. I'll end up waiting for the DGWs then agonise over which DGW, how it affects my other chips use, which, player, form, fixtures, chance of rotation and will probably get a half decent return but nothing groundbreaking. Could be good to get it out of the way now.

This is exactly my thinking here......why not bank on his history versus New Castle versus guessing wrong in double game weeks. He more than likely won't play two games in a week anyways.

I do not have any Spurs players in my squad at the moment.
I am a little worried about this, but would prefer to leave this problem until after the international break.
The only other option is taking a hit for Walcott or Mkhi -> Moura.
    i) That would make me -8 for this week.
ii) After the break, Moura may have to compete with Son for a place in the side.
