      I couldn't live with it.

      I like Kane but this season I think Hazard + 2m to invest in midfield makes for a better team unless Kane becomes essential.

      Auba's xG and stats look good. Mkhi looks good and Ramsey could be gold if he keeps those runs and average positions.

      Bellerin and Monreal won't keep too many clean sheets, but at their prices and with their attacking potential, they could have some hauls in with a few 2 pointers.

      They got they easiest Champions League draw so will more likely field weakened (if there is such a thing for City) teams in that competition.

          Mane is just more streaky for me. I'm a Liverpool fan so I watch all the games. Mane is more hot and cold than Salah. I'd keep Salah and turn Mane into Hazard with the upcoming fixtures and then hop back on Mane later.

              Not at the moment. Firms looks a little off the pace. I had Firms but sold him this week. I do think Firms will come good and then obviously he is great value but right now I'm going to go without until he passes the eye test.

                  Without Salah then I think I'd go Mane just to cover yourself to be fair. I don't think you can go without a Liverpool forward and I wouldn't go Firms if you can only have one.

            Last season Salah scored a point every 9.6 minutes he played. Mane scored a point every 14.9 minutes he played. Definitely tips toward Salah but it just doesn't seem likely that Salah will replicate last year's dominance while Mane has performed better in the past than he did last season.

            Just saying there is definitely an argument to be made that Mane can replace Salah in a top FPL squad.

        I agree for this week it's just i rarely play 5 at the back and usually favor the forward player over a defender but this week I think AWB is the better pick...? The double Palace thing makes me worry a bit though...

    Hate using hits so early in the season but with Ings & Tomkins both looking unlikely to start, is it worth it to do Tomkins > Alonso for a -4?

    Also, this might be a stupid question to ask since I'm still new to FPL but does the fact that I will most likely WC next week change the above thought?

        Arsenal have good fixtures and I watched him intently on weekend and he was in advanced attacking positions. A sure goal threat. I can get Bellend instead but Nacho was more central when crosses come in.

          'lightweight others'? Kane is 12.5m so there's only 0.5m in the difference. Could easily have Silva, Haz and Salah and have almost an identical team. Maybe 4.0 keeper instead of 4.5m

          That’s fair enough 🙂 Hazard can often frustrate from past seasons, if he continues that i don’t know. D Silva is great, but just don’t know how much he’s gonna play, it’s why i’m staying clear of city mids just to avoid that minefield.
          Kane has something like 7 away games in the next 11 or something? I’m waiting on him to show consistency.
          It’s a worthy experiment though, has great potential.

              It was United in disarray, Spurs won’t play them every week. Confidence boost or not.
              Build the team around Salah, not worth the risk going without the most prolific goalscorer from last season, and is already off to a fantastic start.

      5.5m mids have some real value. Fraser, Hendrick or Gray all look outstanding picks for the price.

          I have Fraser as 4th mid and Cairney as 5th. I don't see anything at 4.5. Get Hughes I guess and pick up Cairney when he is fit if you want.

      It's a no for me.
      It has to be extraordinary circumstances for me to ever have a cheap player from an elite club.
      It just blocks you from ever owning 3 premium assets from that team if the need arises.

          You must be joking? Did you watch the Arsenal game? The shot that fizzled over the bar with a bit of variance could've gone in and then we're talking a haul and everyone pulling him in.

          Combined with those fixtures, no CL and Sarri saying how much he likes him. That Chelsea team will keep scoring goals and he'll be there as well.

          I think if Zaha was priced 9M you’d go for him. But because he’s 7M and you have 9.6M to spend on a forward you naturally want to buy a higher priced player.

          Zaha for me especially with those fixtures, can then upgrade elsewhere with your spare 2.5M

          Personally I couldn’t trust 9.5M on Laca, you just don’t know when he’s going to play or not.

    Hazard or bust?

    Is it worth destroying my midfield to get hazard in the team?
    Have Salah / Bilva / Pedro / Mhki / Neves in my midfield.
    Dont want to change my def (Alonso / Mendy / Robbo / AWB / Peltier)
    Dont want to change my fwds (Aguero / Zaha / Mitro)
    I could move to Salah / Hazard / R Fraser / Kante / Neves
    But that feels like 2 great (Salah / Hazard) and 3 low quality ( Fraser / Kante / Neves)
    As opposed to 1 great Salah / 3 medium (Bilva / Mkhi / Pedro) / 1 low (Neves)
    But moving everything around would take me 3 weeks of transfers and feels like putting too much risk on one player

    I have wasted HOURS today working through different options this. Please help me...

    Really want Hazard and am thinking of getting rid of Salah as it will allow more flexibility as opposed to Mane (straight swap not an option as lack of funds).

    Decisions:

    A) Salah > Hazard
    B) A plus Neves > Pedro
    C) A plus Robbo > Alonso
    D) A plus King > Arnie
    E) A plus King > Zaha
    F) Madness, do nothing

    My reasoning for dropping Salah is the tough schedule for Liverpool plus Chelsea have a couple of good home fixtures.

        Mane
        I used my wildcard to buy Robbo / Alonso / Mendy and do general surgery.
        Now I have Bilva and think I want Dilva
        But I really really want Hazard
        But I bought Vardy in GW2, red card
        Bought Richarlison last week, red card
        So I think I should probably sit back and do nothing for a couple of weeks...
