The Fantasy Football Scout Community have been busy at work again this week, producing the usual excellent array of articles and tables to help with our planning for Gameweek 4.

The hot topics, meanwhile, have ranged from short-term absentees to Liverpool assets and everything in between.

Our latest Community Round-up feature has it all covered.

The Hottest Topics

Celt Abroad kicked off the Gameweek 3 reaction with a look at the possible replacements for Richarlison, who was sent off in Everton’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

With Richarlison in mind, Gregor asked if we should sell or keep our short-term absentees and looked at the new suspension rules.

Our regular “Rough with the Smooth” thread turned up the usual success stories and horror tales, while flaming_iles discussed his own excellent start using the RMT tool.

DortmundisLove revealed the past statistics that don’t bode well for defence-heavy teams, meanwhile.

The discussion about Liverpool assets continued, with Rainer looking at the Reds’ fixtures in between the two international breaks.

Legomane floated his method of combating the impact of price falls, while RedLightning examined the overall FPL leader’s early chip usage.

The Gameweek 4 planning started with tambourineman‘s round-up of the weekend’s referees, before G-Whizz gave his weekly clean sheet probabilities, match odds and “Doosra stats”.  We also speculated on the breakout players of this coming Saturday/Sunday.

Jekori highlighted the excellent Fulham/West Ham rotation, while Reckoner looked at the best £4.5m midfielders. On the subject of budget assets: what do we do with blister victim Danny Ings?

Concerning the site itself, Benster gave some frank comments on the Scoutcast while we had a live Hall of Fame update for the first time this season.

Finally, there was a fond farewell to Niemi as a mod – but a warm welcome to Rotation’s Alter Ego.

Community Tables

Among the many, many fine tables created this week were the following efforts:

beans_on_toast

sun_jihai

drewshape

Keep your tables coming in for inclusion in our weekly round-up, with a title and description always appreciated to explain the purpose of the statistical analysis.

Community Articles

There were more super scribblings from the Community this week.

Hutch_James provided another excellent Wisdom of the Crowd, FPL Paulius looked at Gameweek 4 captains and Greyhead examined the fortunes of some elite FPL managers.

Community Tournaments

RedLightning continued his impressive start to the season to consolidate his lead at the top of the FFS Mods and Cons league. Chris James crept above TorresMagic into second, meanwhile.

1. RedLightning – 270 points
2. Chris James – 252 points
3. TorresMagic – 238 points
4. Ragabolly – 232 points
5. Geoff – 229 points

Scott Macalister is the new leader of our public FantasyFootballScout league – and has done it all without using a chip. Scott is actually tied with Cosmin Rotaru and Warren Lim (who are joint-second) but has made fewer transfers.

1. Scott Macalister – 277 points
2=. Warren Lim – 277 points
2=. Cosmin Rotaru – 277 points
4. Jasem Alturki – 276 points
5. Andy Parsons – 274 points

Nick Howard still leads the FFS Members league. Having played his Bench Boost chip in Gameweek 1, he followed that up with a Wildcard in Gameweek 2 and is now ranked 28th in the world. Our very own moderator RedLightning is also up to third.

1. Nick Howard – 281 points
2. Ryan Brazell – 271 points
3. RedLightning – 270 points
4. Graeme Bye – 269 points
5. Luke Pickering – 268 points

Meanwhile, Andrew Garland is the new leader of RedLightning‘s Top 10k Any Season mini-league, three points ahead of the league’s creator. Pete Bullingham and Francisco Lamarque are actually tied in third.

1. Andrew Garland – 273 points
2. RedLightning – 270 points
3=. Pete Bullingham – 266 points
3=. Francisco Lamarque – 266 points
5. Luke Aiello – 259 points

      As long as Morgan is in the Leicester lineup in the team news section here, never ever get a Leicester defender. The moment he's out, even triple Leicester defense is an option.

            Sorry I am trying to figure out what you are saying, does this mean that hits may become more of an importance? To catch early bandwagons before a player is out of reach?

    £2.7m.

    GTG? Or should I take a hit. If so who should I transfer out? Was thinking Robbo for Alonso which gives me flexibility in the future as Liverpool have grim fixtures coming up. Alternatively Cook for Alonso.

    Or is it worth upgrading Neves?

      I’ve took him out for Moura, his rating has been rubbish so far he hasn’t been playing well, even when got a goal and an assist he got rated 6/10

        That's your personal rating or the Mirrors? He's been playing 90mins for Emery who focuses on player fitness levels!

      BS , he played the full 90 and played well in two of the toughest games Arsenal will play all season , there is no way he gets dropped for Cardiff

    Be hard deciding who to sacrifice if Kane becomes a must-have at some point... Salah Hazard Aguero the big hitters in my team. Kun the obvious one but he’s a boss... maybe if he starts being rotated

      Why worry now? If you have your wildcard then worry when that time comes

      Who will outscore and assist Hazard or Kane? Is the question here is it not?

      As long as Aguero keeps starting he represents better value than Kane or Salah imo. With a spare wildcard you'd get a nice squad with all 3.

    What do you think the chances of this players playing?

    a) Zaha
    b) Tomkins
    c) AWB
    d) Ings

    What order would you play them?

      Zaha- 50/50

      Tomkins- 25%

      AWB- 100%

      Ings- 50%

      Zaha, AWB, Ings Tomkins in that order

      ACDB, though there's a chance of Zaha playing on the wing if Meyer starts.

      A) Zaha surely starts. 100% start him, I’d say 100% starts
      B) Unknown, I didn’t see press conferences.
      C) AWB I’d say 90% sure of starting, Ward was pretty bad last week. Start him
      D) 75-80% chance of starting, been their best player imo but a bit of an unknown with a few strikers in there

      Start them in the order ACDB for me

      Useless Tomkins. Resigned to him not playing this week and he's out for some 5.0 next week.
