Manchester City are set to be at the heart of the latest captaincy debate this week, but it shall remain a far from simple discussion.

You can now vote in the Gameweek 5 captain poll and can watch the video below or on our YouTube channel.

The fact big hitters Tottenham and Liverpool are set to do battle at Wembley Stadium in the Saturday lunch-time kick-off should curtail interest in their best players.

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Harry Kane (£12.5m) are typically important figures in the captaincy conversation but may suffer from facing each other’s clubs this weekend.

That brings us back to Man City and their appealing home fixture against Fulham, a side that has averaged 2.25 goals conceded per match so far in 2018/19.

Conversely, the defending champions have found the net eight times in their first two home matches.

However, the start of the Champions League on the following Wednesday could potentially complicate the team selection for Pep Guardiola.

Sergio Aguero (£11.3m) will likely be the standout candidate from the poll but at this point we don’t have any guarantees that he will definitely start against Fulham – although he tends to be favoured at home.

David Silva (£8.5m) may receive some attention as the more reliable starter with Kevin de Bruyne (£9.7m) still out for some time.

Benjamin Mendy (£6.4m) should also be considered by some as he looks undroppable on current form.

Make sure you let us know who you’re going to hand the armband to by using our poll below, or on the sidebar.

Both Maddison and Gray have very similar stats, they have the same amount of shots with Maddison having 1 more assist than Gray

    Maddison £6.6

    Gray £5.5

They would be contending to start vs Ings, who I want to start VS Brighton but bench VS Liverpool.

Is Maddison worth the extra £1.1 for a rotational player?

I personally dont get the Maddison hype.

Yeah. Think he's No. 10? Himself and Vardy together could bring lovely points.

Gray or Mads at number 10?

I honestly don't know. Just that he's very attacking. A lower level but got 14 goals and 8 assists for Norwich last season. A good prospect for FPL price.

Think I'm gonna go for a punt with Gray as he'll be on the bench for me this week anyway, gives me an extra 1.1 to play with the week after if I need to

      What are your GKs?

Otherwise fine, maybe a bit light in defence? Don't think Leicester will keep a CS.

Not sure who to get instead of Pereira, only picked him for good attacking potential and because Shaw will probably be out

Maybe keep Shaw and play either of AWB or Doherty for this GW? Shaw should be back in the team for next GW.

    A) Ozil & Pogba or
    B) Alli & Ramsey?

Was on A but now leaning to B. The final piece of my WC team. Both offer reasonably good differential potential, Pogba most owned at 17%.

Rest of my team is pretty template and all four, on their day, can rack up some points.

Ramsey probably more of a rotation risk than Ozil atm. Think Emery will be set on improving Oz.
Also, with Alli's recent injury, I would go with A. Still not too sure about Pogba though..

    Current team on a WC:

    Patricio - Hennessey
    Alonso - Shaw* - Mendy - AWB - Holebas
    Mané - Hazard - Fraser - Maddison - Billing
    Laca - Aguero - Wilson
    0.5 ITB

    Considering doing either:
    1. Shaw --> Laporte/Stones/Kompany (who do you think is nailed out of those three?)
    2. Laca --> Mitrovic & Mané --> Salah

    What do you think?

Laporte I would say more nailed for now.
But I would definitely go 2

    Best 4.5 keeper?

    Best 4.5 mid?

      McCarthy, Fabianski, Foster

      Hoedt, Billing

Either Patricio or Hennessey. Ryan's got great fixtures though, apart from 2 GWs and Brighton might start getting clean sheets again.

4.5 mid I'd say either Billing, Mendy (Leicester) or maybe Camarasa despite poor fixtures.

Why so much love for Madison all of a sudden? I know they have good fixtures but his stats have been very underwhelming and if truth be told he has been lucky to get both his attacking returns he’s had so far

Probably more on last years form and an U21 international. A good prospect for his price but wait and see.

Gents - Do you prefer A or B?

    A - Holebas/Fraser/Aguero
    B - Alonso/Silva/Wilson

I think B could be more points
I think A for better captain...

Right now I have all of Salah, Mane, Haz and Aguero
I also have all of Robbo, Alonso and Mendy
Of these players, I am willing to ditch Salah, but this will happen:
I can only have 1 other premium player: Auba, Laca or Lukaku (those are my options)
But, then, I can have Maddison, or Moura. And play him over SCook or Bennett (both with good fixtures)
So, at the end, is really Salah+ SCook or Auba + Maddison.
And Salah has better numbers and a huge potential to explode, even with bad fixtures.
I am giving Salah a two match warning, If he doesn´t deliver, he's out of my team

Salah deserves to be given the next two matches at least, based on his excellence last season. Think i'll be looking to sell him temporarily for weeks 7 and 8 though. Aubameyang/Kane are calling.

Given mikh played both games on break and ozil 0, does having mikh in playing 11 ahead of wan b make sense? Max 1 pointer i am guessing?
