Some previously powerful Fantasy Premier League set piece assets seems to have lost their edge in the first four Gameweeks of 2018/19.

That’s what our latest research into set plays data has shown us this week.

    Shaw -> Bennet (save up for a big transfer next GW)
    Cairney -> Pedro (or other 7.0 or below)

        It sort of depend how deep the draft is. In my leagues we are only 6-7 managers. I tend to prioritize getting attacking mids at this stage, since the defense is pretty packed with good options. I almost always end up benching a Chelsea, United or Spurs starter.

          Fair enough. Mine is 8, but the players are a bit stupid (someone got Etheridge with their first pick). Lingard is still undrafted in mine and I would absolutely go for him if I didn’t already have Lukaku. There are no starting defenders left from the top 6 however. I drafted 8th and my team is pretty decent. Draft is all about getting nailedness and coverage.

      I don't really find it useful. I'd rather see a table ranking all the teams and players who set piece attempts / conceded. And then a bit of analysis around that.

      Reading about it team-by-team is not much use. You need the overarching view, the context.

      You will have to bench a good mid/striker every match. Not good thing imo. Better do Fraser to 4.5mn and save extra for maybe silva to eriksen

          I doubt it. And Dilva to Eriksen now is downgrade imo. Good player on bench (the one with bad fixture) is not a bad thing as an insurance in case of no show or short term injury.

    GETTING THE BEST FROM WILD CARD

    Like many i pressed the wild card button after GW4 and my current team is as follows:

    Hart/Ryan - Going a bit different from template
    Mendy/Alonso/Holobas/Cook/AWB - going without Liverpool defensive cover for next 4 games
    Mane/Hazard/Maddison/McArthur/Richarlison - taking chance to go without Salah, not sure points per million is worth it
    Aguero/Vardy/Ings

    1m -ITB

    Ideally don't want to leave so much money unused but not sure who to buy. I generally play 3-4-3, but will play 4-4-2 when Ings has unfavourable fixture. Could upgrade Cook to 5.5m defender, but not sure I would play 4 at back so often... Dont really want two Leicester attackers but not many catch my eye at this level....

    Interested in any comments/views on my choice

      I feel like if you are not going with Salah and only have 2 premium defenders then you can do better than Vardy up front. Find a way to replace him with Lukaku or Auba.

        I think Vardy will do well hence my comment about going with two Liecester, ideally I only want Vardy

        I think I may see how Fraser injury pans out and maybe upgrade Cook to semi premium option

        See i was guna pit in kante but anytime he's in the attacking third he looks panicky, like i said i reckon kennedy could do well with the fixtures newcastle are coming into, i see kennedy as a more attacking minded player than kante, il be shocked of kennedy does end the season with atleast 10 goals and a good few assists, cant see kante doing that!
