There are six Premier League matches kicking off at 15:00 BST this afternoon and there is huge relief for the owners of – and those who captained – Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Sergio Aguero (£11.4m), Roberto Firmino (£9.4m) and Sadio Mane (£10.0m): all four start for their respective clubs.

Aguero was handed the armband by just over 1.5 million Fantasy Premier League bosses for Manchester City’s Gameweek 6 encounter with Cardiff City, while Salah was himself trusted with the captaincy by over a million FPL managers.

Despite being the most popular captaincy choices for the weekend’s matches, both players were among the five most-sold players of this Gameweek: 374,021 FPL bosses lost faith in Salah, while 177,646 of us ditched Aguero.

There was also good news for those who own Luke Shaw (£5.1m), with the United left-back starting ahead of Ashley Young (£5.8m).

However, those who own David Silva (£8.6m) will be disappointed to see the Spanish midfielder relegated to the bench for City’s trip to South Wales.

Fabian Delph (£5.3m) plays at left-back in Benjamin Mendy‘s (£6.4m) absence, while there are also starts for Leroy Sane (£9.2m), Bernardo Silva (£7.5m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.0m).

Xherdan Shaqiri (£7.1m) gets his first Liverpool start alongside Mane, Salah and Firmino, with James Milner (£5.7m) dropping out. Joel Matip (£4.9m) takes Joe Gomez‘s (£5.1m) place at centre-back, meanwhile.

Neil Warnock has changed his full-backs for the visit of Manchester City, while Mark Hughes’ Saints side looks defensive in nature for the trip to Anfield.

Elsewhere, Ricardo Pereira (£5.1m) misses out for Leicester City and Kenedy (£5.0m) returns to the Newcastle United side.

This Liverpool team is different. More intent on keeping a clean sheet in the 2nd half than going for a 5-1/6-1 win.

Thank god. Jiménez on for Dilva.

With Baps I am on: 49 with Ryan, Trippier, Alonso and Hazard to go.

Lesson learned: start Wan Bissaka and if you don't, have him first on bench not second

Had Hennessey so I thought staying Chilwell over him was the right thing to do 🙁

Exactly. Amazes me people keep leaving him on the bench every week...can only assume it’s because of his price?

Agüero off. Pep managing minutes or was there an aggravation of the prior injury? Thanks.

Jose Alvarez Haya on Twitter (he knows Aguero):

"Agüero played with still some pain in his feet today and for that the subs at 60th minute. He scored the first goal of the game (the key one for opening the score and defence of Cardiff) and made a great work for linking up. A totally man club."

He is still semi-injured from the foot injury he suffered. Its just that Jesus is too shite to play so he is needed.

Feels so wrong as a Rovers fan to want Burnley to keep a celqn sheet but here we are. As long as they're relegated at the end of the season they can score me FPL points no problem!
