Investing heavily in Chelsea and Liverpool has proved a successful strategy for many this season. But with these two title contenders going head to head in Gameweek 7, is this ‘eggs in one basket’ tactic about to come unstuck?

David, Andy and Az join me to discuss the best strategy for dealing with these tricky ties when so many highly owned players are squaring up against each other.

We also consider the merits of bringing in the likes of Everton talisman Richarlison (£6.6m) and Arsenal’s newly sure-starting striker Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m), as they answer the community’s questions.

Tapping into Spurs’ fine fixture run, and in particular, the improving form of Harry Kane (£12.4m), is also on the bill. But will Andy’s ambitious plan to swoop for the Tottenham forward leave him with egg on his face?

Elsewhere, the Scoutcast crew look at Gameweek 7’s likeliest clean sheets and best low-owned gems, reveal their plans for the next set of matches and laugh and cry at some of the community’s roughest and smoothest recent transfers.

This Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

    Evening all,

Only fielded 10 last week so need to sort my bench. Contemplating a -4 Mendy, Mane & Kamara OUT -> Trippier, Maddison & Mitrovic IN.

Next 5 fixtures in mind for the guys coming in, wildcard still in hand.

Should I just do Mane & Kamara? Worried about Dilva getting rested. Thoughts welcomed, cheers.

    Fabianski
    Alonso - Robertson - Wan-Bissaka - Doherty
    Salah - Dilva - Richarlison - Mane
    King - Aguero

    Foster - Mendy - Schneiderlin - Kamara

This week has brought and will continue to bring the most uncertainty we’ve had all season. Top assets against each other, shifting fixtures and the likes of Kane for big hits becoming popular, heavier rotation, etc.

Each year I have always chased these situations with hits and it’s never ended up well.

For me, use your FT or 2FTs to clean up your out of form players or injured players and keep faith in your premium assets in big games.

If Mendy is ruled out for awhile, bring in Trippier, Wolves defender or a sound long term option. For me,
My top priority is Lingard out. Think we’ve all got a Lingard in our team that can leave (well, maybe not that bad 🙂 )

Really great, I like the double up of Pool defenders because after these 2 tough games they will continue keeping a LOT. However you could look at Brighton or Newcastle for cheapies too.

Don't like it. Don't like having to bench two of that defense.

      Robertson > Doherty/Bennett

That frees up some funds which you will need to get Salah/Mane back. If you WC to this you're stuck on that front.

In my two MLs we have a manager of the month price.

Ones for 30 euro the other 50. I'm leading both at the mo.

I'm just wondering if it's manager of the month technically it would end on the 30th of the month but there's a game on the 1st of October in the same gw. Iv 4 players in that.

So I presume that game will be included in the month??
