      Personally I would downgrade one of your premium defenders to get a better goalkeeper. Assuming you're going 3 at the back one of them will always be benched.
      I'd do Laporte to a 4.5. and then get Ederson, and a 4.0m keeper.

        Hmm not sure Ederson offers value at 5.7m. Agree about benching headache but think Laporte offers good value for money. Will likely downgrade when fixtures swing in Liverpool’s favour to afford Salah back in

          I think that's good advice, get the likes of bennet and get the city keeper. Laporte and Ederson are about the same price anyway and laporte's attacking returns will be low

          Well he's basically the same price as Laporte, but 100% nailed, whereas Laporte is 50% nailed 🙂
          Laporte isn't really a goal/assist threat for City in the same way Mendy is, or Alonso for Chelsea for example.

          But your call, good luck either way.

    Does anyone rotate their mids and forwards. I can bring in Richarlison and Doherty for Stephens and Mendy but i will probably have a selection dilemma each week.

    Just wondering if its worth the aggravation.

      Yes and no.

      I had a bench fodder 5th mid up to now but from this week it's 3-4-3 with Knockaert, Fraser and Jimenez in the mix.

      Personally, if there are enough quality budget options, I like doing this - I think of it as surprise rotation and warm-up-injury insurance...

      I did it years ago...Had Sigurdsson benched when he played for Swansea...first game of the season away to Man Utd....top scoring midfielder for me that week. Never done it since. 4.5m perma-bench all the way (watch Ward punish Burnley this weekend, and Hazard blank).

      Benching headache is a positve problem, even if points on bench are annoying. In case of no show it means often points and in case of benc player hauling price rise and increased tv.

      I have atm Kamara though, but very often rotate my 3rd fw and 5th mid and 5th def. Comparing can be difficult, but points on my bench are not away from me.

    Ranked 16k so concerned continuing without Aguero and Alonso, and also a lack of bench coverage. Still have a WC but not planning on using it yet.

    Have a few options:
    a) Ghezzal -> Richarlison & Aubameyang -> Aguero (-4 hit)
    b) Ghezzal -> Richarlison/Maddison & Bednerak -> Doherty (-4 hit)
    c) Ghezzal -> Richarlison/Maddison
    d) Kamara -> Jimenez & Aubameyang -> Aguero (-4 hit)
    e) Alternative

        I guess not overly concerned without Alonso at the moment, but Aguero is my worry this week. 89% owned by Top 10k and I presume most will captain, so a transfer in could protect my rank.

          I would just go with what you think will score the most points, I'm a similar rank to you and never consider ownership at all. If you're worried about Aguero why aren't you worried about Alonso and Mane?

          Nothing wrong with getting Aguero but I wouldn't do it just because of ownership.
          I actually think Vardy is the striker to bring in at the moment.

            I'm not solely worried due to ownership, it's a combination of Aguero's fixture and ownership. I'm not concerned with Alonso and Mane much because of fixtures over the next 2-3 weeks.

            I'll probably hold Auba for 1, maybe 2 more weeks with Watford and Fulham and just go with option c). But I agree on Vardy after this weekend, will be an option if Auba's underlying stats catch up with him.

                It is probably the safer move considering Aguero's fixture this week, and the difficulty of my captain choice will be taken away. But in a sense I feel Aguero's only concern, which is rotations are now more of a issue with the CL, so why get him in now other than protection for this weekend?

      I’d be tempted to look at someone like Yedlin and see what options that would open up for future changes. Great fixtures, solid defensive team and not getting rotated.

        He played 76 mins against Huddersfield and there was no midweek game after that.
        Being subbed off around the 60 min mark means there's plenty of time for City to score more goals and Aguero can easily drop outside of the bonus points.

    Seems people with Ings & a Wolves defender (normally Doherty) are benching Ings instead of the defender. Seems crazy to me as he's the focal point of Southampton, on penalties and fresh having not played last week.

    I know Southampton aren't great but surely a striker is favoured over a defender in close calls like this?! what am I missing?!
