Ugh benching problems. Who takes the final place?

    Patricio
    Alonso, Trippier, Robertson, Doherty
    Hazard, Mane, Richarlison, Fraser
    Aguero, Vardy, Arnie

    Foster, AWB, Billing

Really should be Doherty but he's been scoring so many I only brought him in this week to cover my main rival who keeps piling on the points. Otherwise it is Arnie, Fraser or Richie

Trip for me due to Spurs injuries and WH finding some form.

All others have good or decent(ish) games. Even Vardy has good record against the Gunners.

Was considering Keane to Mendy, but he’s getting chances and stats suggest he could be worth keeping for a while. CRY up next and decent game every other week.

Would need a hit to fund it, got exact cash for Kane to Kun.

    What do you guys think?

    Team is
    Patricio
    Alonso Robbo Doherty Keane
    Haz Mane Fraser
    Laca Wilson Kane

    Bett Maddison Hojbjerg Holebas

Yep, need some opinions as only got Keane as a punt. Wanted Jonny but thought triples Wolves too risky.

Keane’s stats seem good so should I keep. Once prices rise I’m stuck.

Kane -> Agüero. I'd also bench Keane for Maddison.

Just a lot of budget in their attack with mixed fixtures and would mean no Liverpool Attack unless got in Firmino instead of Lacazette.

Interesting. I’m bringing Sterling in and was looking at Firmino until another poster advised me to go Lacazette. I’m torn given Liverpool’s fixtures but Laca is on fire.

I’d love Lacazette. Would mean going Mane,Lacazette instead of Sterling,Firmino.

            0.3m short of Sterling,Lacazette.
I’m reluctant to take a -8 and do Salah,Kane,Zaha >> Sterling,Lacazette,Aguero. Which would only leave TAA as my only Liverpool.

Could always do Kane,Zaha >> Firmino,Laca if Salah is ok.

After Kane and Lucas out, Laca and Sterking in (-4) I would be at:

    Patricio
    Alonso, Robbertson, Trippier
    Mane, Hazard, Sterling, Richarlison, Maddison
    Laca, Wilson

    Hamer, Bissaka, Holebas, Kamara

    Thoughts, please mates?

Too much money on the bench. You will be playing Alonso, Mendy, Robertson every week which means you will often be benching 9m worth of defenders.

But I have a similar problem - if CFM upgrades anyone it's not obvious who would do better than this team plus this team gives flexibility for injuries and rotation

Every man and his FFS dog will buy Sterling if Salah is out.

      Firmino I agree could be

Kane probably stays another week for me then looking at Lacazette or Aguero.

Yeah, not sure its worth a -4

I want Arnie & Sterling though. I have Kun.

            0.1m short of Wally/Fraser/Kane->Sterling/Mane/Arnie

Yeh would the hit easier to swallow if Bobby was on form. Not sure despite the good fixtures I’m too bothered about Liverpool attacking coverage. TAA and Robertson or one of them might suffice.

I would like Arnie as well. Originally Zaha was keeping his place warm in my team but if Salah is sold I could stretch to Lacazette or Firmino. Could always jump off Mitrovic in a few weeks for Arnie instead.

Not fussed about Alonso, but what do people think of Luiz? Sarri ball might suit the bonus and he’s cheapest of the bunch?

    1. Pinturicchio10
      7 years, 10 months ago

Look at their total scores. Luiz is being crushed. Alonso all the way for me, I think he's the most needed big defender this season.

If the Salah injury means he is no go, and in light of Mane's drought, I'm flirting with the idea of a 5 man back line, how mental is that! :

    Robbo - Alonso - Mendy - TAA - Doherty

Not going to do it because of the inflexibility it would create (2 transfers to get out of it), but it looks great for this week. And getting Mane in for these Liverpool fixtures almost feels like a punt.

Has anyone else considered a similar route? Is this a viable way to cover Liverpool fixtures if you think their attack is stuttering, without having to sacrifice Alonso, Mendy, Wolves defender?

I’m considering that route but as I’ll have Patrico i have downgraded Doherty to bennet to set up a 4-3-3

      GREAT IDEA!!

This reduces some risk of rotation of Ageuro and Salah... I'm sure they will begin to be heavily rotated very soon!

However it would mean playing 5-2-3 for me this week, then Doherty's fixtures get tough so 4-3-3. Unlikely I'll do it, but worth consideration.

Another Kane blank last night. Then a game against Spain where he won't see much of the ball and will have to do a lot of running.
Kane will be tired out for GW9.

Based on form it’s very reasonable, could backfire if form changes with the fixture swing, you’ll have to wait and see

I’m considering it but only if Salah is confirmed out. I’d rather have Sterling over Mane. I could get in Firmino for Zaha to cover them but would much prefer Lacazette.
