While Liverpool team news is perhaps the most popular Fantasy Premier League topic this week, we shouldn’t forget about differentials.

In fact, the recent fitness saga for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds has triggered an inclusion of a poorly owned attacking Anfield asset.

He is one of three options, owned by under 5% of Fantasy bosses, who we like the look of for Gameweek 9.

Felipe Anderson (£6.8m)

Ownership: 2.6%

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) is, of course, the more popular West Ham option right now but his new colleague Felipe Anderson (£6.8m) is already coming into his own.

His role in set pieces has helped him rise to joint-second for chances created in the last four Gameweeks. He is level with Bernardo Silva (£7.6m) and just one behind Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.4m) over that time period.

The Brazilian has been involved in direct free-kicks and his place within West Ham’s front three mean that he is often on the receiving end of crosses from the opposite flank – that’s why he was able to score against Manchester United in Gameweek 7.

Tottenham will be without Jan Vertonghen (£5.9m) again on Saturday and may be more vulnerable to a West Ham goal than usual, furthering Anderson’s appeal.

Anthony Knockaert (£5.5m)

Ownership: 1.9%

While Brighton have typically struggled away from home this season, a Gameweek 9 trip to Newcastle United could be their chance to buck the trend.

Only one side has allowed more penalty box goal attempts than the Magpies in home games this season and they are yet to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans.

For that reason, Anthony Knockaert (£5.5m) could be a differential to consider. He has registered a fine balance between creativity and goal threat in the last four Gameweeks and has more shots on target than colleague Glenn Murray in that time too.

Furthermore, his role in set pieces could prove important. No team has conceded more headed attempts on goal than Newcastle in 2018/19.

Daniel Sturridge (£5.8m)

Ownership: 1.3%

No don’t worry, you haven’t accidentally stumbled across an article from 2014, we have actually tipped Daniel Sturridge (£5.8m) for potential success this week.

The Liverpool striker has made a comeback from injury this season that looks like it could be permanent at long last. More importantly, he’s been getting the job done on the pitch with two substitute Premier League goals this season and strikes also in the Champions League and EFL Cup.

With the recent fitness troubles of Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) and Sadio Mane (£9.8m) there is every reason that Sturridge could come into the side for the trip to Huddersfield Town.

Given he has averaged a goal every 21.5 minutes in the Premier League this season, a start in Gameweek 9 would stand him in good stead for attacking returns.

Thoughts on these moves for a -4? Alternatively I'll just stick:

Would have probably kept at least until GW12. Replacements would not be too bad as I'd then go for both Maddison and Richarlison. If I keep Fraser I'd get either Rich or Maddison.

If you were on a wildcard, like I am, would you get in Aguero or Sterling? I don't want both a the moment as I'm going with with Salah and Hazard too.

I'm at the 50k mark but had 3 red arrows in a row and looking for a boost.

I imagine the safe bet is Aguero and punty one is Sterling?

Anyone else in the same boat?

    1. MTPockets

Aguero (until he's not starting every game)

If I was on WC, I would try to fit both but if I have to pick only 1, then Sterling.

      Definitely Aguero

    4. Bat Man
      • 8 Years

Yeah. Tempted to still say Aguero by I think he’s the best premium striker by far and without him I like the team structure less. Sterling looks great but so does Hazard Salah Mane

    5. Grendos
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 9 months ago

I do prefer the team structure with Aguero but feel this can be sorted out in 2 FT's if necessary.

I've narrowed the choice down to Sterling, Balbuena and Success (fodder) to Aguero, Bennett and Hojberg.

I own Fabianski and Doherty too.

For some reason I am fancying the punt on Sterling!

    6. XabiAlonso
      • 11 Years

I'm on wildcard also and have weighed this up and I think it's better to go with aguero mainly for his massive ownership it's such a gamble to go against.

    Final decision:

    A) Patricio, Salah, Zabaleta

    B) Alisson , Mane , Mendy

    Rest of team:
    Hamer
    Alonso/ TAA / Doherty / AWB
    Hazard / Richarlison / Sterling / Obiang
    Vardy / Mitrovic / Murray

Can somebody explain how this huge green post about 'SCOUT PICKS CHALLENGE' works? I've read the post, but I don't seem to get it... Do you need to do this every week? And can everybody just reply on it, or do you need to be a member? Or is this just for the scouts?

You enter a different team every week. Just send it as a reply to the post. It's open to everyone.

You can have a maximum of one player from each team, in any formation you like (within the rules).

Probably bench Maddison. Good chance he'll come in for Fraser anyway

    Hi guys,

These injuries are killing me. Mane looking a big doubt now as well as Zaha.
Was always planning on Zaha -> Mitro next week, I don’t buy the hype on him being off form and think he’ll deliver with his upcoming fixtures.

Thoughts on a hit for the below?

    Fabianksi
    Alonso Robertson Doherty
    Salah Richarlison Fraser Mane
    Aguero Arnie Zaha

    Foster / WB Neves Peltier

    2FT 1.1ITB

Mane, Zaha, Neves -> Sterling, Mitrovic, Hojbjerg (-4)

Having second thoughts over captaining Sterling now. Should i follow the herd and captain Kun since having Sterling could be differential enough

Depends on how you play the game.

Yedlin plays every week. And it seems like he's the second most attacking player in Newcastle's side, and he's cheaper.

I believe Lascelles not worthed extra 0.3 . I am planning Shaw to Yedlin today.

Thoughts on Lovren?? Thinking about using one of my FTs to change Holebas (what a disaster of a transfer that was) to him.

Not a nailed starter. Holebas only suspended for this one game and then okay fixtures to come.

Not guaranteed starts/ go for Trent if you can't afford Robbo

Lovren will be even more of a disaster, TAA will most likely start again this gw. Lovren will most likely be dropped (unless VVD is injured). Gomez and TAA better options especially the latter.

    Thoughts on this WC team

    Patricio / Hamer
    TAA / Bennett / Bednarek / Mendy / Alonso
    Mané / Hazard / Maddison / Richarlson / Puncheon
    Aguero / Wilson / Lacazette

    Would you do:

    A. TAA + Puncheon + Lacazette —> Robertson + 5.8mid + Arnautovic

    Also is anyone considering Sturridge?!
