Eden Hazard (£11.4m) will be the Fantasy Premier League focal point as Chelsea get Gameweek 9 started this lunch-time.

He comes into the Blues’ meeting with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge as the second-most owned asset in FPL, behind only Sergio Aguero (£11.3m) with 51.0% backing.

Fantasy managers will also be hoping for a clean sheet with Marcos Alonso (£7.0m) still in 45.9% of squads.

Investment in Manchester United has waned in recent weeks with their most popular option David De Gea (£5.8m). He remains owned by 18% despite going four Gameweeks without a clean sheet.

Their most fashionable outfield option is Paul Pogba (£8.1) with 13.9% backing. Interestingly, the Frenchman has been tipped by  Joe’s famed Goals Imminent table.

On the injury front, both Antonio Rudiger (£5.9m) and Mateo Kovacic (£5.9m) came through doubts over their fitness while Ross Barkley (£5.7m) was named on the bench.

Luke Shaw (£5.1m) overcame his knock to start for Man United.

CHELSEA XI (4-3-3): Kepa, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, David Luiz, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Willian, Hazard, Morata.

MAN UNITED XI (4-3-3): De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku.

Easy there. They are real life long supporters, they’ve paid for half a season of streamed games online from their homes in anywhere but Manchester.

Hope you are trolling. Has it been tough being a United fan? How many titles have they won in your lifetime? When they have a really bad season is it just a Europa League title and finishing 5?

Try supporting proper dross (like Newcastle, sniff) and then you have the right to complain. Also, support for a club isn’t turned off and on like a light switch

Alonso to Rudiger is obviously kneejerky, but keeps Chelsea cover and saves a LOT of cash.

I don’t think it’s dumb to question Alonso even if it is to ditch him for Rudiger just because the latter scored. Everybody and his mother has Alonso so everybody wants to defend their selection choice and not have it questioned. I still have Alonso but I’m thinking of ditching him too now he’s at 7M. Depends on how KDB returns. I ditched the “template” that sheep follow of having to have three premium defenders, despite people on here saying it’s heresy. Robbo went for TAA so I could get Haz, then Mendy went the instant he wasn’t in the team for Doherty that enabled me to bring in Sterling. The points swing for me has been huge. It’s never stupid to challenge what a bunch of people on a podcast - who struggle to make top 10k most seasons - tell people they should do.

If you think Chelsea are going to get lots of clean sheets then there are certainly cheaper options than Alonso IF Alonso is going to play more like a conventional fullback. And Napoli under Sarri didn’t concede many and played much more orthodox, not with fullbacks charging forward.
