                  Still prefer to have points on the bench then no points at all. You will have weeks that some of your bigger players dont play e.g city players as pep rotates.

    My view on TAA is that he was given a break after really struggling and looking tired against Napoli, he definitely had terrible game. I doubt his being dropped had so much to do with Gomez being "defensively more solid" in some general sense, which people seem to assume as received wisdom; after all, Trent is much more comfortable as a full back overall, and Gomez certainly showed poor positioning against Huddersfield, often moving too central. In any case, Trent looked fine against Red Star which surely puts him back in contention for a place in the starting 11, whether it's Cardiff at home or Arsenal away. Furthermore, Gomez looked much more comfortable when back in the centre back position.

        I didn't mean he should have gone forward more, just thought he was overly drawn towards the ball when it was in central areas and when Lovren or VVD were there to cover anyway, leaving an unnecessary gap. You could be right that it was a tactical move, but I doubt it.

              Last season 100% accuracy when they were leaking the team news.
              Now they've stopped leaking they do posts as the one above so I have no reason to not trust them just can't get my head around resting Lovren again...

                Same. Had my eye on Lovren to double up with VVD. Price means he's worth the risk and it would've helped fund another move. Have my WC too if it doesn't work out. Maybe Gomez is the one I should consider given he can play both CB and RB.
