Sergio Aguero (£11.3m) and Eden Hazard (£11.3m) are likely to be the pair vying for domination of the Gameweek 11 captaincy.

Both players have home fixtures against favourable opposition this weekend and have been much more impressive in front of their own fans this season.

Aguero has delivered attacking returns in every match at the Etihad Stadium in 2018/19, averaging a total of 9.4 points per game.

Meanwhile, Southampton will arrive having conceded 1.4 goals per away match this season. Only three teams have allowed more penalty box shots since Gameweek 7 too.

Benjamin Mendy (£6.3m) may even get a look-in this week given that he has six assists already this term and Southampton are without a league goal in five matches.

With Riyad Mahrez (£8.6) having recorded three double-figure hauls in the last five Gameweeks, he may be starting to emerge as a differential option although there are plenty of potentially viable options in the Man City midfield.

As Liverpool travel to in-form Arsenal, interest in Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) and Sadio Mané (£9.7m) may be restricted.

Instead, Hazard looks like the most likely to compete with Aguero if he can regain full fitness.

The Chelsea man has registered either a goal or an assist in all but one of his home matches this season, for an average of 9.2 points per game at Stamford Bridge. The only one he blanked in was the Gameweek 9 visit of Manchester United.

Next opponents Crystal Palace are without a clean sheet since Gameweek 6 and have conceded seven times in four matches since then (1.75 per game).

Given Brighton’s form away from home, some managers may consider either Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.4m) or Richarlison (£6.8m) as alternative captain candidates in Gameweek 11.

West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) may also be viewed by some as a differential as he prepares to face Burnley. No side has allowed more shots than the Clarets this season.

Fulham and their hapless defence are unlikely to influence the captaincy discussion as they travel to face Huddersfield Town, the Premier League’s lowest scorers.

Is there some news on Holebas beyond the fact that he was benched last week following suspension? Seen several folks getting rid of him. Reason to believe he’s fallen out of favor/likely to continue to see reduced starts?

Two clean sheets without him playing, can't see it being easy for him to get back in. Personally I'm going to get rid, but only because I have 2FT and no other issues. Wouldn't prioritise removing him simply because he mainly only sits on the bench.

If it is a double up then rather double up on the better defence i.e. City

If it is a downgrade then Chelsea imo - given there is more money to free up by the Rudiger downgrade.

Alonso + Laporte vs Mendy + Rudiger are almost same

I don't really get that, this is the first time I've played it but the nature of having 11 players and 11 players only surely means that a transfer is worth a lot more than in FPL. I have Moura in my team and I'll probably keep him another week, for example, because there is no nice "in-between" move before he becomes Mane.

I surely can't be the only one who think it's utter madness that people are considering selling Wilson?

He is the top scoring striker in the game. He is the joint 4th-highest scoring play in the entire game (with Mané and Auba). He cost you anywhere between £6.0m and £6.6m. Bournemouth are on a roll, scoring freely. Yes, there fixtures are becoming more difficult than they were previous, but since when did fixtures become greater than form? Besides...

11: MNU (H) - United defence poor, could easily return.
12: NEW (A) - Don't even need to comment on how good this fixture is.
13: ARS (H) - See United analysis above.
    14: CITY (A) - Admittedly, difficult.
    15: HUD (H) - See: Newcastle (A).
16: LIV (H) - Tricky, but being at home could definitely see Bournemouth score a goal or two.
17: WOL (A) - Which Wolves turn up? Still fancy Bournemouth to score.
    17: BHA (H) - Plum fixture.

        Yep agree.

Have Wilson for ages and he’s been unbelievable for me and dont want to sell him but... it’s an option to change things up with their upcoming fixtures ... can always buy him back. Agree he is worth holding if no other plans for cash/formation change.

For me I want to move from 343 to 433 & 532 for Christmas period so seriously considering downgrading Wilson. As hard as that is to contemplate!

Yeah, admittedly they've played some tough teams at home, but don't think it's distorting facts to say they haven't kept a clean sheet at home - because they haven't. Can only go on what's happened thus far, and so far they haven't been good, defensively, at home... regardless of who they've played 🙂

But you made a direct comparison between NEW (A) and HUD (H) purely based on goals conceded. That is distorting facts.

People are actually buying NEW defensive assets now given how solid they have looked (albeit more recently) and are expected to be in the next couple of months.

6 of those goals came from 3 games against the Top 6. Another two came from Leicester. There is potential for an attacking team to open them up, but they are certainly not whipping boys.

People thought Leicester had a difficult fixture week after week but Mahrez kept churning the scores out when they won the league.

When a player and team are in this kind of form, it trumps fixtures imo. 6.3 ppg for Wilson - that's as good as a guaranteed goal per week.

      Mostly agree, but to play devils advocate;
Newcastle away isn't necessarily good for goals. They have a very tight defense. Ease of fixture Durant always translate to lots of returns being available.

Manchester United and Arsenal might concede two or three between them. Maybe. You would expect Wilson involvement in at least 1 goal, but nothing is guaranteed.

Man City away isn't difficult, it's the closest thing to impossible for an asset like Wilson to return in. As my stat above shows, forwards and mids have not scored a single goal against them all season.

      HUD: Glorious

LIV: Big (x) of doubt that anything would happen here. Bournemouth putting weak defences to the sword doesn't mean they're equipped to deal with Liverpool.

Wolves: very dicey game, too far away to judge

      BHA: Same as Wolves
I count the fixture ratings for likeliness of Wilson returns as:

      Average
      Poor to Average
      Poor to Average
      Impossible
      Excellent
      Very difficult
      N/a
      N/a

See my above reply to a comment you made. Sometimes, looking at the fixtures played, especially when the sample size is small, is important for context. They aren't a defensive fortress, but they are average. Imo.

They played Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea in those four and I thought they were unlucky to concede in the Spurs match.

I prefer this analysis. I think Bournemouth's form is in large part down to their fixtures. That is why I got Wilson and Fraser in for the run and they did very well for me, thank you very much. I think they'll struggle a bit more over the next few games. I'm not saying it's going to work, but sometimes it's about staying ahead of the curve and not chasing points gone by.

Agreed, but it would only stop me buying BOU assets. If I already owned them, I wouldn't sell until their scores dried up.

Could be wasting transfers and getting same points as Wilson/Fraser.

Should have made it clearer, I'm keeping Wilson but probably moving Fraser on.

But that's only because I don't want all my eggs in one basket and also because I can get Mane in instead. If there were no clear options in place of Fraser, I would probably give him another 2/3 games to see how it went.

I think their previous results against any PL teams bar a few exceptions would be miserable, seeing as they're a new team to the PL coming up from League 2 not long ago at all. They've taken some time to improve to the team they are now.

Agree with this. In gw14 and gw16 we could also easily play Wolves defensive assets (Cardiff away, Castle away) and AWB (Burnley at home, West ham away) so rotation actually works very nicely. Add form, price and the lack of other forward options (except Arnie, I'm not interested in Murray) and I'm almost surely getting Wilson in for Mitrovic this/next week.

The thing is, I understand why people would be reluctant to BUY attacking assets from Bournemouth right now, but actively shopping them whilst they're in such a rich vein of form and have cost you so little seems odd. Having paid such a small portion of your budget for them, I can't see the benefit in not at least seeing how they do.

Especially for those who bought Wilson at 6.0, and are willing to forego his 0.6 increase in price, in the event that they end up needing to bring him back in because he continues performing admirably.

I'd completely get it if we were talking about a player who was consuming £8.0m+ of your budget, like a Vardy or something, but he's so inexpensive and performing well above his cost, regardless of fixtures.

I have both Wilson and Fraser which is the main reason why I'm looking at selling. If I only had one, I agree that keeping is probably the best idea considering their price and lack of quality replacements.

      - Im looking to keep both Fraser and Wilson but add Laporte to
      make a double city defence
      - I'll play Wilson in every fixture but rotate Laporte and Fraser.
      - In GWK 16 Laporte could become Trippier

      Something like

      Fraser in 12, 15, 17, 18
      Laporte 11, 13, 14, --> Tripper 16, 17, 18 (benching a mid)

I've just bought him. Needed to upgrade Ings and it was between Wilson and Murray as Arnie was too expensive. Wilson burnt me last season and I was weary because of that but I've bitten the bullet and got Wilson ala Alonso as they are rank killers. Will ship in probably 4 weeks for Zaha.

I have Wilson and Fraser and they are going nowhere great value picks and if I didn't have Wilson would be getting him in this week. I could see him as a season keeper at his price, Bournemouths attacking style and lack of other alternatives.

Ditch Schurrle, for a start. Maddison looking a slight concern too, although I'd personally give him a couple nore weeks. Martial, Rich and Pereyra are all better options in that price bracket, however, dependent on whether you want to take hits. Upgrade one of your defenders (probably AWB) to Alonso/Mendy. Triple Wolves defence is also overkill, but I presume you're not playing them every week. Either way, you might want to sort that out soon too.

TL;DR Schurrle, AWB -> Pereyra, Alonso

Not planning on a hit this week and Schurrle faces Huddersfield this weekend so I think I will hold there but the debate will be whether to bring in Alonso or Mendy this weekend for me for one of my cheapies, might be Bennett bc I have more money tied up in AWB

Taking out Bennett seems reasonable since you have ample Wolves cover. I'd go Alonso over Mendy, think he's more nailed (marginally) and Mendy looked rocky last night. You're probably right about giving Schurrle one more week too, forgot he had hud.

I disagree there. Fulham are decent enough in attack, and they have good fixtures all the way through to the new year.

Maddison is underperforming, and once the next few are out of the way (who knows how they’ll play) they have a dodgy run through to Xmas

Not saying it’s a no brainer, but I’d ditch Maddie before Schurrle

Find another way. I don't rate this transfer at all. Barkley will be benched often, which leaves Mendy as the breadwinner to claw back the 8 points you spent here, and Maddison/Ings are fine enough options which could return in the meanwhile.

    Which trio do you prefer?

    A. Mendy, Richarlison, Arnautovic

    B. Balbeuna, Mane, Ings

I already own Salah and Robbo, no City defenders.

My team will be shaped over the next 2 gameweeks to one of the above. basically is Mane worth it?

Its Rich or Maddison. Both are in my team currently but one will have to make way for funds

Doing Shaw > Laporte. How’s it looking? Haven’t decided on Vokes/Doherty

    Ederson
    Alonso Robertson Laporte
    Salah Hazard Sterling Fraser
    Arnautovic Mitrovic Vokes

    Button Doherty Hojbjerg Wan-Bissaka

      No budget for Mendy?

Laporte is extremely solid but unspectacular

Doherty is a season keeper at 4.4 but Vokes is probably not the one.

Unfortunately not. Agreed just got to hope he bangs a header!

Not sure out of the 2 to play this week.

Feels wrong leaving Diop on the bench at home to Burnley, but can't justify dropping Robertson to give him a place.

    If Arnautovic fit?

    A) Switch Mitrovich to Arnautovich this week
    B) Swich Mitrovich to Arnautovich next week

Scandalous TAA; might impact his play being a young lad and all.

That's why Klopp mentioned he thought he might be distracted from text on his phone. After he was dropped a few weeks back.

    Thinkering....What would you do here?
    2ft 0.7itb

    Pat
    Mendy Robby Alonso
    Hazard Mane Richarlison Fraser
    Aguero Auba Deeney
    ...Hamer Gunnarsson AWB Bennett

    A) Better bench and balance: Pat + AWB -> Fabianski + Lascelles (Bench Deeney/Lascelles/Fraser)
    B) Get Arnautovic for Deeney, by downgrading Fraser->Deloufeu/Paterson or Robby->Laporte
    C) Use 1ft this week and next week do Aguero+Richarlison-》Salah+Success
