The latest international break gives us the opportunity to take stock of the key underlying statistics being posted by teams and players over the first 12 Gameweeks of the season.

In this extra to our usual Scoutcast format, David and Joe sift through a raft of statistics to uncover who have been the most attacking players in terms of both goal threat and creativity.

They also find out who has been over and under performing and delve deep into the team statistics.  Most threatening sides, best defences and those vying for whipping boy status are among issues looked at.

Meanwhile, our Scoutcast duo also find out which defenders are set to produce points at both ends of the pitch and they name the best bonus magnets to consider.

Key talisman, who are integral to their side’s chances of scoring, are also put under the microscope.

Joe and David also reveal how this autumnal stat-attack has affected their future transfer plans.

Tables used in this Scoutcast Extra episode are from our Members area.

What Spurs options are people look at for GW 15?

I'm conscious of form and fitness atm, but they have great options and when the fixture swings they have an incredible run up until late February.

Alli is a differential I'm interested in, especially if Spurs move into their new stadium. Always felt he flourish more on a smaller pitch. Eriksen (soon to be 9.1) is also generally a reliable option.

Defensively I'd love Trippier but around Xmas expecting Aurier to play a bit more so hoping Vertonghen returns quick as I always opt for him as a dependable defender who is good for bonus. Lloris close to being 5.3 is also tempting.

      Trippier is a must IMO.
Considering Lamela, he's the cheapest route to their attack, looking sharp when starts, rested in Europe and the highest PPM in their midfield.
I'm aware of the massive rotation risk, but all is in Xmas actually and a decent bench is already there.

Using the comparison tool in the members area, Kane’s heatmap looks noticeably different with Eriksen to without him. The first six weeks (with Eriksen in the team) shows a massive hot spot in the penalty area, while the following six weeks (without Eriksen) has him involved much deeper between the center circle and the penalty area. The caveat here, however, is that his goal threat remains fairly consistent across both. I suppose the thing I want to see most between now and GW15 is Eriksen returning to the starting lineup and Kane finding the ball in the penalty area more regularly.

Tl;dr: Watch closely to see if Eriksen’s return impacts Kane’s performance. That will be the litmus test for whether or not he’s worth the investment.

    Potential wildcard team (3-5-2) :

    Ederson / 4.0

    Bennett / Kiko / Alonso / Dunk / Wan-B

    Hazard / Salah / Fraser / Martial / Richarlison

    Aguero / Arnautovic / Success

    Any ideas?

The 3-5-2 formation is a good choice. I'd downgrade Salah to Sterling and upgrade Fraser.

Yeah and looks like a decent goal threat too and quite good in BPS. Who would you bring him in for? Doherty, Mendy, TAA, AWB, Balbuena?

Personally, if it was a choice of those I’d go for AWB first, although I appreciate his fixtures changing soon.
I took out trippier to bring him in before trippier dropped in price, Digne is a potential assist possibility for .1 less but not as much a goal threat.

Who do we reckon is a bigger rotation risk for the upcoming onslaught of fixtures?

    A) DSilva (currently in team, along with Kun+Mendy)
    B) Martial
    C) Richarlison

If A, would you consider dropping for either B or C?

A, but no. Theres no one who can do what he does in the City team. He will get rested in some of the easiest games but so will everyone in that City team. He will still comfortably outscore Martial and Richarlison.

      1. Brosstan
        • 11 Years

And tbh as long as Chelsea and Liverpool reasonably keep pace with City, I doubt that Silva will get rotated much. Hes more of a risk if City get a big gap.

          • 12 Years

The appeal with Silva is that he either starts or doesn’t feature from the bench. So a good bench player to cover his rests will be good.

By the time GW16 arrives do you think the big hitters most wanted list will have changed much? Still Salah, Aguero, Sterling & Hazard or will the likes of Kane, Eriksen, Laca and Aubameyang be contenders....

    1. Brosstan
      • 11 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Maybe Kane if Eriksen comes back in form. But I doubt he will manage to keep pace with Kun, Sterling, Hazard and Salah even then.

Looking to shift Salah > Sterling in future weeks to fund Barkley > Dilva
Then maybe Aguero > Kane if Harry moves into a striker role.

Thinking of sacking off the idea of Kane in GW15 and doubling up Spurs in defence. Thoughts on this team:

    Lloris
    Trippier, Gomez, Balbuena, Doherty
    Sterling, Martial, Hazard, Salah
    Arnautovic, Lacazette

    Hamer, Camarasa, WanBissaka, Success.
