Fantasy Premier League managers are faced with another international duty characterised by yellow flags this month.

A flurry of players have already withdrawn from their national team squads ahead of the final break of the 2018 calendar year.

The French roster has been particularly in flux recently with Benjamin Mendy (£6.4m), Paul Pogba (£8.0m), Anthony Martial (£7.6m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.7m) all pulling out in the last few days.

Nicolas Otamendi (£6.1m) has withdrawn from the Argentina squad facing a double-header with Mexico, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.2m)  has shirked international duty with the England under-21s and Fulham’s Kevin McDonald (£4.4m) has opted not to link up with Scotland.

There have also been a number of absences caused by injuries picked up in the most recent round of matches.

Kieran Trippier (£6.2m), Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.5m), Asmir Begovic (£4.5m), Shane Long (£4.8m) and Wilfried Zaha (£6.8m) are all absent from the international stage over the next few days as they deal with various knocks.

Neither one of Stephan Lichtsteiner (£4.6m) and Danny Welbeck (£6.5m) will be present for their nations after hurting themselves in Arsenal’s most recent Europa League excursion.

In keeping with recent quotes from Marco Silva about him, Richarlison (£6.9m) remains determined to accept another Brazil call-up despite picking up a minor ankle problem in the 0-0 draw at Chelsea.

However, not every omission has been up to the players themselves. Marcos Alonso (£7.1m), Pedro (£6.3m) and Cesc Fabregas (£6.3m) have all missed out on places in the Spain squad while Maraoune Fellaini (£4.9m) was not selected for Belgium.

Tottenham left-back Ben Davies (£5.6m) will also get a rest as Ryan Giggs opted not to include him in the latest Wales squad. He is suspended for the Dragons’ Nations League match against Denmark due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

There will be less worry among Fantasy managers over late international break comebacks this time around with Brazil playing both of their matches in England. Their meeting with Uruguay will be at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, four days before the Selecao face Cameroon at Stadium MK.

Thanks, yeah was gonna do that. Kind of hope he misses next game so it makes my mind up for me. I think they will both be close on points over the next few weeks.

If you have 2 FTs and nothing pressing go for it. Siggy has lost set pieces to Digne which dampens his appeal quite a lot imo.

i would be reluctant to get rid of 2 bmouth players at once. ARS has goals written all over it.

This breaks my heart a bit. What could have been if I'd have a better timing with Alonso.

    His scores the five weeks I owned him (GW 5-9) - 2, 6, 2, 6, 1

    His scores the weeks I haven't owned him (GW 1-4, 10-12) - 11, 13, 11, 9, 11, 6, 8

Timing and Alonso shouldn't be mentioned in same sentence. There has been no reason to ditch him. And this is easy to say without any help of of hindsight.

Well there was a time (about the five weeks I owned him) where he wasn't such an offensiv threat as he used to be.

Got him after 4 gameweeks. Not ideal but I've kept faith in him and plan on keeping him if he doesn't get injured but he's for certain one of the players that have trolled me. Another one is Sigurdsson. Got him from gameweek 1-4 but sold him before his hauls.

I suspect a few people would have been influenced when some key FFS mods started slating him a while back. I was surprised how much he was dismissed, despite great fixtures forthcoming, and the fact that Alonso is... Alonso.

Robertson is the best FPL Liverpool defender in arguably the defence most likely to keep clean sheets. Richarlison is a very good pick of course, but at his price point you could look at other options.

      Hard not to have both.
Rich OOP and great value in a team on the rise. Could get 20 goals this season.
Robertson the perfect FPL defender. Consistent CS and attacking returns.

Rather optimistic thinking Richarlison will get 20 goals. I think 15 would be brilliant for him but 12-13 is realistic.

he's currently on 6 goals. It would be a weak res of the season for him to finish on 12-13 goals from now!

Last season 7 players scored 15 goals or more. Only one was from a team outside top 6 (Jamie Vardy). History tells us that it's difficult to score 15 goals or more in the premiership.

Last season is so last season. Everton is likely top8 team this year. If there are two players like Vardy this year, they are most likely Wilson and Richarlison. Richarlison may haul against lesser teams and this year Cardiff and Fulham have been conceding a lot.

Too light uptop or worth it?

    Fab - hamer
Alonso - Davies- robertson - awb - bennett
Salah -sterling -hazard -martial - rich
    Arnie -jimenez -success

Salah vs Aguero for captaincy again.

    Aguero fully rested.

    Salah only 1 game now.

Both patchy away form so far.

I think West Ham’s slightly dodgier defence sways it to Kun (c) for me.

    Fabianski
    Alonso Robertson Doherty
    Salah Hazard Richarlison Fraser
    Aguero Arnie Jimenez

Then what is the point in asking us all then?

You are not thinking straight. If you look at HUD's defensive stats, you will see that they rank up their with CTY and LIV. They do not give many BCs away.

Besides, Jimenez is kak and not fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as Arne. 😡

Laporte is brilliant pick. Had him since first injury to Mendy. Plays every week and has more points for less money. Jimenez is also a hidden gem - involved most Wolves goals even if doesn’t score and playing Huddersfield. Bench Fraser.

Well salah to sterling and chilwell to robbo seems obvious but I guess you wouldn't want to get rid of Salah. So if you have 0.2 or so ITB you can do Mane-> Dilva and Chilwell-> Robbo. Consider VVD as well.

Bookies odds, to score 2 or more goals:

      Kun 15 / 8
      Rich 5 / 1

So Kun for fpl, Rich for betting. (Kun has also more assist potential.) Personally I think 5/1 to be close to okayish odds.
