Fantasy Premier League managers are faced with another international duty characterised by yellow flags this month.

A flurry of players have already withdrawn from their national team squads ahead of the final break of the 2018 calendar year.

The French roster has been particularly in flux recently with Benjamin Mendy (£6.4m), Paul Pogba (£8.0m), Anthony Martial (£7.6m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.7m) all pulling out in the last few days.

Nicolas Otamendi (£6.1m) has withdrawn from the Argentina squad facing a double-header with Mexico, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.2m)  has shirked international duty with the England under-21s and Fulham’s Kevin McDonald (£4.4m) has opted not to link up with Scotland.

There have also been a number of absences caused by injuries picked up in the most recent round of matches.

Kieran Trippier (£6.2m), Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.5m), Asmir Begovic (£4.5m), Shane Long (£4.8m) and Wilfried Zaha (£6.8m) are all absent from the international stage over the next few days as they deal with various knocks.

Neither one of Stephan Lichtsteiner (£4.6m) and Danny Welbeck (£6.5m) will be present for their nations after hurting themselves in Arsenal’s most recent Europa League excursion.

In keeping with recent quotes from Marco Silva about him, Richarlison (£6.9m) remains determined to accept another Brazil call-up despite picking up a minor ankle problem in the 0-0 draw at Chelsea.

However, not every omission has been up to the players themselves. Marcos Alonso (£7.1m), Pedro (£6.3m) and Cesc Fabregas (£6.3m) have all missed out on places in the Spain squad while Maraoune Fellaini (£4.9m) was not selected for Belgium.

Tottenham left-back Ben Davies (£5.6m) will also get a rest as Ryan Giggs opted not to include him in the latest Wales squad. He is suspended for the Dragons’ Nations League match against Denmark due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

There will be less worry among Fantasy managers over late international break comebacks this time around with Brazil playing both of their matches in England. Their meeting with Uruguay will be at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, four days before the Selecao face Cameroon at Stadium MK.

I prefer my keepers not to go forward, and stick to their own half.

Say you've already played your wildcard.

How many yellow flags still being there next Saturday morning (in the entire 15 players) would it take for you to implement Free Hit?

They’re would have to be 7 red flags for me to free hit. First IB I had 4 players yellow flagged and all played

Bold. Know what you mean though.

Currently on 6 yellow flags + Doherty's face ache. Just wondering at what point I start considering it...

Can't imagine so - I think he played on at Arsenal with it? Admittedly only a couple of mins but if there was a break he would have come off.

Imagine "worst" case scenario is that he plays against HUD with one of those masks on.

Just not worth risking in a friendly.

He picked up a facial injury at Arsenal. Whilst it looked pretty bad (there was a lot of blood - although this didn't stop the Gooners from booing him!), he was able to carry on and I can't see it stopping him from playing a week on Sunday.

Yeah I would. At 5.1m odd, he's near enough bench fodder, definitely worth keeping.

We're none of us perfect. 😉

I think anyone shifting him on is just gambling on higher hauls from Sterling/ maybe Kane from GW15, rather than saying he'll do badly or not score.

          All about that fund management.

yeah Salah is a keeper for me now, even if he blanks the odd game

I've Mane too, happy to keep for this gw at least, and then may bin him to fund Hazard for the fulham game if he's back fit, and firing over the IB break

Probably - casuals will fear the City game and go for Ryan or Patricio who have more attractive home games.

Don't think it'll happen, either due to not enough non-wc transfers or some other inexplicable rule that FPL may have in place to prevent the drop

Two are Button and AWB so five in the XI - Martial, Richy, Mendy, Lacazette, (Doherty).

Hopefully not tempting fate here but I think at least three of those five should be alright.

So, Ranieri is back in the EPL , Fulham have got a decent bunch of players if Claudio can replicate the work he did at Leicester some of those Fulham players like Schurrle,Mitrovic, sessegnon can turn out to be decent cut price players for fpl squads .

    What do you guys think??

Was going to WC in 15/16 but just noticed I'll only have three days in between.

Tempted to leave it until GW 18 now, leave the liverpool v utd game go to leave a good run for man utd to choose Martial/Lukaku hopefully.

Will also give a few gameweeks to analyse how Fulham perform with Ranieri, might give some good cut price options.

Big plus also is it's just before the hectic schedule - puts me in prime position to judge who might get rotated.

Has anyone's timing shifted recently or majority still holding for GW15/16?
