Six Premier League matches will take place this evening to bring Gameweek 28 to a close.

Two of those fixtures, Arsenal v Bournemouth and Southampton v Fulham, kick off at 19:45 GMT, while Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace v Manchester United, Liverpool v Watford and Manchester City v West Ham United start 15 minutes later.

The headline team news arguably comes from Selhurst Park, where Marcus Rashford is only fit enough for a place on the bench after suffering an ankle injury in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

Fred, Diogo Dalot and Alexis Sanchez are handed a start, as Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard miss out.

Palace are again without Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Martin Kelly replacing the injured Mamadou Sakho in Roy Hodgson’s only change.

Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy are among the substitutes for Manchester City as Sergio Aguero is joined by Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez in the hosts’ starting XI for the visit of West Ham United.

There is no Marko Arnautovic in the Hammers’ squad as Andy Carroll gets the nod to lead the line.

Samir Nasri, Ryan Fredericks and Pedro Obiang also start, while 19-year-old full-back Ben Johnson is handed his Premier League debut.

Roberto Firmino has failed to recover from an ankle injury so Divock Origi leads the line for Liverpool. Trent Alexander-Arnold replaces Jordan Henderson in Jurgen Klopp’s only other change, so James Milner moves back into midfield.

Watford are unchanged.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is dropped after the farcical scenes at the end of the EFL Cup final, so Willy Caballero starts in goal.

Marcos Alonso is also recalled, along with Mateo Kovacic and Gonzalo Higuain. Emerson Palmieri, Ross Barkley and Willian make way.

Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez, Erik Lamela and Ben Davies replace Serge Aurier, Juan Foyth, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose for Spurs, as Harry Kane and Son Heung-min lead the line.

Alexandre Lacazette is the premium forward who misses out for Arsenal this time, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returns to Unai Emery’s starting XI for the visit of Bournemouth.

Mesut Ozil is also recalled, while Carl Jenkinson gets his first league start for the Gunners since November 2016.

Emery has made six alterations to his line-up in total, with Granit Xhaka, Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Shkodran Mustafi dropping out.

Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Matteo Guendouzi are the other players to come in.

Lys Mousset replaces the injured Dominic Solanke up front for the Cherries in Eddie Howe’s only change.

David Brooks is back on the bench for the visitors.

Jack Stephens, Matt Targett and Stuart Armstrong make way for Southampton as Maya Yoshida, Charlie Austin and Ryan Bertrand are handed recalls.

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Kevin McDonald replace Jean Michael Seri and Ryan Sessegnon for Fulham.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Sokratis, Koscielny, Monreal, Jenkinson, Torreira, Guendouzi, Kolasinac, Aubameyang, Özil, Mkhitaryan.

Bournemouth XI: Boruc, Clyne, Mepham, Aké, Smith, Ibe, Gosling, Surman, Fraser, King, Mousset.

Southampton XI: Gunn, Bednarek, Yoshida, Vestergaard, Valery, Hojbjerg, Oriol Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Bertrand, Redmond, Austin.

Fulham XI: Rico, Odoi, Ream, Nordveit, Bryan, Chambers, McDonald, Anguissa, Cairney, Babel, Mitrovic.

Chelsea XI: Caballero, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Higuain, Hazard.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Lamela, Son, Kane.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Tomkins, Kelly, van Aanholt, Milivojevic, Schlupp, McArthur, Townsend, Zaha, Batshuayi.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Lindelöf, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Dalot, Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner, Mane, Salah, Origi.

Watford XI: Foster, Janmaat, Mariappa, Cathcart, Masina, Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes, Pereyra, Deulofeu, Deeney.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Danilo, Kompany, Otamendi, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Silva, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Sane, Aguero.

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Johnson, Obiang, Rice, Antonio, Nasri, Felipe Anderson, Carroll.

Do you consider Sane to Sterling a good move?

          Team would become:

          Ederson
          Robertson, TAA, Doherty
          Pogba, Salah, Sterling, Son, Anderson
          Jimenez, Rashford

          Guaita, Rondon, Kola, Bednarek

I’ll do Sterling to Hazard for GW31 in fact. But I am confident Raheem may deliver well over next 2 GWs

Salah is so overrated on here, great asset but just too expensive and forces many managers into almost perma-captaining him which hasnt been working very well in recent GWs at least.

He's the highest scoring player in a game that allows you to double one player a week's score. That makes him quite useful to own.

Auba, Pogba and either Jimenez or Doherty.

May change my mind on Auba though... I took out Kun for him because I thought he'd play in 27 and only misses 31 (plays in 33)... so seems a waste to get rid as it would mean I won't have enough in 33 without taking a hit.

I transferred Rashford and Auba out for Jiminez and Aguero before this GW given my utter rage with Auba over the past few weeks. I gained a total of 3 points but it was completely worth it as I didn’t have to sit praying for Auba to do something (except troll) and that Aguero stays quiet. I can recommend this transfer if you want a less stressful FPL experience!

    1. Salah’s Sonnet
      • 14 Years
      7 years, 2 months ago

i'd done the opposite of late when i brought him in instead of Aguero, so brought in Aguero also this GW for Rash, and capped him. I now see what this whole Auba experience is like haha!
I like the way you said 'less stressful FPL experience though as well, because that's all it is, a stress, with zero enjoyment...yet we still play it 🙂

        • 11 Years

I made exactly the same mistake. Worse still, I had my finger hovering over the transfer button for an hour on the Auba to Aguero move before the DGW and bottled it because it was for a hit. Season defining moment!

Oh really? That's funny though, because I've always made transfers based on form and fixtures and both appear favourable for him.

Crazy he didn't get any tonight... was only because Arnold got 3 assists + CS, Robertson 2 assists + CS and Van Djik 2 goals + CS. Happy but kinda annoying as an owner that happened!

Looking at acquiring some of these players this week. Who really stands out for you in each category?

Strikers: Higuain, Vardy, Wilson (!), King, Barnes, Wood
Midfielders: Maddison, Hazard, Mane, Barnes, Gray, Sterling (for two weeks but leaves me with less players in blank)
    Defenders: Luiz, TAA, Azpilicueta
GKs: Fabianksi, Heaton, Dubravka, Kepa (!)

      Wilson for sure, King also

Sterling v bourenmouth looks deliriously good

Defenders: apart from the obvious pool trio - ALONSO

      GK:Dubravka

Sterling is gonna tear Bournemouth apart. Only way I can get him for free is to lose Salah. Thoughts?

So have non-Alonso owners got their route back in planned out?

The big man is back with a bang - one of his trademark 40-point 3 game spells right around the corner....

No, I've become quite attached to owning Luiz instead.

Could you possibly link your team. You seem very good at giving it the large one, I’ve always thought and assumed this was justfied but just wanted to check

am worried he’ll be rotated a little bit with emerson, who sarri recently said has done well. if i felt he was nailed would own over luiz tbh

Why do you say “he’s back”? Looking to bring in either Luiz or Alonso.

I just got rid of Alonso for TAA which worked out. But I'm bringing Luiz in at a better price. Would get Alonso back if I could afford him.
