Ever since the pre Christmas fixture swing where lots transferred out Salah for city assets when Sarah got his hattrick there have been so many weeks of almost unbelievably unlucky outcomes. It’s beeb the strangest season ever.

Just remember, variance is good because it helps keep casuals interested as anyone can get a good score in 1 week. Overall good planning and skill will result in a good overall rank

Fair enough. Take a break if it's affecting you negatively. I do think people are fogetting that everyone else is finding it hard, too, though. You don't need a great week every week to do well. And many with great weeks have crap wekks the following week, anyway.

The introduction of chips actually rewards research and time spent more than without them imo. Would prefer for it to be a simple game of picking the players you like with contextual factors regarding form and fixtures. If research helps you pick better players, then that's how you can gain an advantage, but it's not necessary to ply and do pretty well. The game may be harder (in terms of OR) with more active managers, but that's fine by me. I guess it's a matter of expectations vs reality when it comes to your performance relative to the crowd. Anyway, good luck with your weeknds without FPL.

I know how you feel but if you are having a bad season you should just ignore it and enjoy your time on the beach like not worrying too much about your team and missing deadlines casual style.

Use this time and the summer as a good break from the week in and week out of fpl and come back rejuvenated and ready for next season mate. 😉

Drop the herd mentality and you might improve, dont see the problem with chips when everyone has them. It's an even playing field.

Sorry to hear you feel that way buddy. Sounds like a week or two with no FPL would do you a world of good.

I've been in and out of love with FPL over the years too - I think i've found a healthy balance that i'm interested enough to do a small amount of planning just ahead of the weekend but not enough to stew on transfers, chase money, or dwell on abad captaincy pick.

Trust me on this one - wanting to do well doesn't equate to doing well. I've missed gw deadlines, and put little effort into this season, and its been great.

Be casual, be happy.

It's been a tough season for a lot of people myself included but it's still a very fun game. It hurts when things like Pogba today happen. I TC Sane and it took me days to get over it but the fun part for me is to keep going.
If you feel it's really starting to affect you then maybe you could take next season off but the game is something that you will always will long for and the disappointment is part of the thrill
