Our series of articles on the optimum Free Hit squad for Double Gameweek 32 continues with this look at midfielders.

Although there are a handful of viable options in this position who play just once in Gameweek 32, we have only considered players who have two fixtures in the imminent round of matches.

Those Fantasy managers who aren’t playing their Free Hit chip this weekend might still be interested in our comparisons as they mull over which assets to bring in using their allotted transfers.

I was set on this backline but I have seen comments saying that Laporte is no longer secure with Stones and Mendy back in training.

To preserve the CHE/MCI/MUN core, how about Ederson/Luiz/Smalling? I feel it's a downgrade because:

- Luiz himself might not play (been told Christensen is likely to seal minutes before the Europa League game)
- Smalling is boring as compared to Young who participates in United's attack
- Not overly excited about double Chelsea DEF

As days have gone by I have become more inclined to include Higuain in my free hit team. The fixtures are just too good to ignore.

I've gone with Tomkins (double Palace defence) and Higuain instead of Azpi and Rashford. I think both Palace and Chelsea realistically will get 1 clean sheet each and Higuain to outscore Rashford.

      Dalot's minutes have not been interfering with Young so far in the League. Shaw plays on the opposite side and is one card short of being suspended. The rest of the defence is shite / doubtful / lacks fitness.
