Captains

As expected, the Double Gameweek 32 captaincy is centred around Manchester City’s two most powerful Fantasy assets.

Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) are the standout candidates and we’ll be assessing their credentials in this article.

However, we wouldn’t be doing our jobs properly if we didn’t also consider the other options.

We’ll be looking at all the best options four Double Gameweek 32, those who play two matches and those with just one.

Fantasy Football Scout members can enjoy our analysis of the data.

Captain Poll

Aguero has dominated the captain poll ever since day one and he currently has a 52% share of the vote. That’s no surprise considering his recent scoring record with eight goals in his last eight Premier League outings. Manchester City’s fixtures are also a huge factor of course, with Fulham (away) and Cardiff (home) about the most appealing pair of matches in Double Gameweek in recent memory.

However, his lead in the vote has shrunk ever since Sterling hit a hat-trick for England last Friday. Before the Three Lions thrashed the Czech Republic at Wembley, Aguero 61% backing and Sterling just 19%. The morning after, their percentages had changed to 58% and 22% respectively and by Sunday it was 55.9% and 26.9%.

As of the time of writing, Sterling is now up to 27.89% backing and it’s possible that in real terms his support among Fantasy Football Scout users is even higher than that. Unfortunately, you cannot change the recipient of your first and only vote in our poll, so there may be some who initially voted for Aguero but changed their minds after Sterling’s form for England.

The Manchester City pair are a long way off the other options considered in our poll. Eden Hazard (£10.9m) currently sits in third place but has the backing of just 5.4%. Chelsea’s fixtures aren’t quite as stellar as the Citizens’ but are still fairly appealing. The Blues also face Cardiff, although they are away from home, before Brighton come to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Hazard himself has just one goal in the last five Gameweeks but did score a combined total of 33 points in his previous encounters with Brighton and Cardiff earlier this season.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) is the fourth most popular candidate in the poll but very few managers are actually considering. We recently found out that he is the big hitter most likely to be left out by those playing the Free Hit chip in Double Gameweek 32 and that is reflected in our latest vote. Just 1.77% said they thought Kane was the best captain this weekend, with a trip to Liverpool and a home match against Crystal Palace.

Just behind the Spurs forward, and completing the top five, is Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson (£5.6m). Given that Cardiff and Fulham have hardly set the world on fire going forward in recent months, it’s no surprise to see interest in the Citizens’ defence. Their shot-stopper is probably the most popular of the captain picks at this end of the pitch because he is the only one nailed-on to start both matches of the Double Gameweek.

Paul Pogba (£8.9m) is the only other option to have more than 1% backing in the captain poll for Double Gameweek 32. Manchester United face Watford (home) and Wolves (away) over the next few days before both clubs then meet in the FA Cup semi-finals. There have been suggestions that the Red Devils will face rotated sides, which could bode well for their assets, but it remains to be seen how much that will affect their upcoming matches.

Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m), Raúl Jiménez (£6.8m), Leroy Sané (£9.3m) and Gonzalo Higuaín (£9.6m) complete the top 10 with scores of 0.87%, 0.71%, 0.5% and 0.5% respectively.

The most-backed single Gameweek player looks to be Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) but he only managed to pull in the support of 0.36% ahead of a home match against Newcastle.

Yes OGS said Martial is fit but does that mean he’s more likely to start both. Don’t forget he’s also just back from injury himself and in terms of form, apart from an anomaly in GW26 has had 1 return only (an assist) since GW18!

Are people losing their heads rushing him in and dumping players like Haz and Dilva?

I know that he will have less competition for goals if Rash has mins managed and Lukaku misses one but it doesn’t transform him into a better player...

    Just saying. I’m uneasy!

Nope. Dumping Rash for him. If OGS says Martial is fit and Rash isnt fit for 90, thats enough for me

    Bats - Kun - Gonzo

Would take Jimenez over Zaha/Bats. His stats and consistency are unreal despite these ‘resting for FA Cup rumours’.. Milivojevic is a non option imo

I'm not sure there's any rumor form Molineux etc.

It's based on how they lined up ahead of their last FA Cup game this season. On that basis Wolves key assets aren't likely to play both games.

If Jimi plays both - he's gold. Many casuals will assume he does. For me, Batshui offers great value and more likely to start both.

Yeah, I'm sticking with Jimenez over Bats/Zaha, he might have game time doubts but he's been too consistent for me to leave him out on a DGW.

I think it’s a strange choice not going with their attack. Huddersfield at home is a great fixture- wouldn’t be surprised if Zaha/Bats outscore Jiminez etc in just one game.

    Regarding Rashford and OGS rumours

Right now, we have no confirmed sources, and as a student there's no chance I'm paying 35 quid to check MUTV.

There have been no public club statements.
MEN have made no reports on these "quotes".

Until I see an official link from a trusted source, I will not be reading into it at all.

If you have a reputable source, link it.

If you watched MUTV, give me a shout. Right now, I'm highly dubious as there is absolutely nothing reported elsewhere from what I've seen.

    Best options here:

    A) Trippier + Azpi + Dilva
    B) Luiz + Zaha + Dilva
    C) Laporte + Azpi + Son

Too many short memories on here, Srart of year everyone dumped Rashford because of injury worry.

Funnily enough no two injury scenarios have exactly the same severity and time frame respective to Premier league matches are typically identical

Callum Paterson out for the season for Cardiff.
Has he been playing right back for them this season?

I thought I'd seen him play up front a few times, but his official profile says he's a right sided defender, who can also play in attack.

No has been playing in the attack, Niasse now essential.

Just based on them alone - not the rest of the team. Which one would you pick this DGW?

I’m undecided between Jimi and Bats

Jimi has amazing consistency but more chance of having minutes managed. Bats is more of a punt imo

toss a coin (with three edges..) A and C are better, but will/could get less minutes. Gun to my head, C > B > A
