Everton v Arsenal was the only Premier League match to take place on Sunday, so attention now switches to the FA Cup semi-final between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford.

Both of these sides enjoy two fixtures in Double Gameweek 35 and several of their players will be very much in the minds of Fantasy managers as they prepare their squads for the season run-in.

There are three changes to the Wolves side that beat Manchester United in midweek but the team that lines up at Wembley is effectively Nuno Espirito Santo’s first-choice starting XI, save for the inclusion of cup goalkeeper John Ruddy over Rui Patricio.

Romain Saiss gets the nod over Ryan Bennett at centre-half, while Jonny returns at wing-back as Ruben Vinagre makes way.

Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota resume their partnership up front, while Matt Doherty – owned by more than one in five FPL managers – lines up on the right flank.

Javi Gracia has made two changes to the team that beat Fulham on Tuesday, with Heurelho Gomes replacing Ben Foster as anticipated.

More noteworthy for Fantasy managers ahead of Gameweek 35 is the inclusion of Andre Gray over Gerard Deulofeu up front.

Gray set up two of the Hornets’ goals against the Cottagers in midweek and was talked up by fellow striker Troy Deeney in the club captain’s post-match interview.

Wolves XI (3-5-2): Ruddy, Saiss, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Dendoncker, Moutinho, Neves, Jonny, Jota, Jimenez.

Watford XI (4-4-2): Gomes, Kiko Femenía, Mariappa, Cathcart, Holebas, Hughes, Doucouré, Capoue, Pereyra, Deeney, Gray.

    Neves YC. That is huge.

A YC for a key player this early in a big match, espcially a DM.

I like Bernardo. He hasn't got the best record over the season, but he's been looking very dangerous recently. It's like he's been given more licence to get into the box. He aces the eye test for me personally.

Really got lucky with my defenders this GW.

Took (-4) to get Digne in
    Lejeune withdrawn before Newcastle conceded
    Pereira got an assist.

With 4 of Arsenal's last 6 games away from home, are people avoiding Arsenal players altogether?

Yes...Emry has shown that he is not afraid of rotating heavily and Arsenal have shown they are still vulnerable away defensively.

Arsenal have lost seven of their last 11 away matches in all competitions (W2 D2 L7).

Arsenal are one of only two teams in the top four tiers of English league football this season without an away clean sheet this season, along with Championship side Ipswich Town.

Team looks better when switching Lacazette out for Deeney. Mids can’t be relied on. Defence is awful.

Suddenly questioning Laca and Kola's presence in my WC draft (although was never really convinced they belonged).

    Ryan, Foster
    Robbo, Kola, Duffy, Valery, Bennett
    Mane, Sterling, Son, JWP, Camarasa
    Kane, Jimenez, Laca

Is it a viable tactic to load up on who ever loses this fa cup semi final wolves/watford for gw34?

I did ask this a few days ago but the consensus seemed to be that winning or losing won't make a big difference rotation-wise.

Doesn't matter either way. Final is a full week after the PL season.

    3. Rainer
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Don't think this result necessarily matters until GW38 and possible rotation 6 days before the final.

IF the winner of this game loses the final, then 7th in the league will be a Europa spot. Both these teams will likely play for the spot regardless.

I’m interested in both for gwk35. The winners moreso as people will be playing for their place in the final.

Arsenal assets can be best described as inconsistent, injury prone and rotation risk.
