Liverpool’s formation change earlier this season holds the key to whether Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) deserves a place in Wildcard squads for Double Gameweek 34.

After going six Premier League matches without a goal, the Egyptian finally found the net against Southampton in Blank Gameweek 33 – just in time to cause a dilemma for managers overhauling their teams.

Judging by the relief he showed at St Mary’s on Friday night, there is a case to be made that Salah could now return to his incredible points-scoring form from earlier in the campaign.

However, we have uncovered a few tactical factors that could have a bigger impact on his chances of impressing between Gameweek 34 and the end of the season.

As we have used data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members’ Area, only members can read on to enjoy our analysis.

Now that we are past the half-way stage, memberships are now available for just £10, so make sure you get the most of it while you can by signing up HERE.

How can I improve this lot?
    0.0ITB BB35
    Lloris (Foster)
    Laporte Dunk Doherty (Valery TAA)
    Sterling Mane Son Camasara (Jota)
    Kane Lacazette Jimenez

      Nice. Like Laca

I’d consider a Watford defender over Doh. That could give you Duffy over Dunk and a match against Huddersfield is a decent double defence bet - unless it’s WH of course.

Cool on TAA as he’s a clear rotation risk imo and you have a pretty light defence.

Aha, yeh could be a good idea, which Watford defender though?

TAA could be an issue but I feel he maybe was taken off early against SOU because Robbo cant play tonight's game due to YC's so Milner needed some game time at full back before being thrown in at the deep end tonight. Could be completely wrong though...

I’m currently on Cathcart but really want Holebas who’s flagged.

(Generally has it with Wolves defence and Doh would only make it as a really cheap mid for me. Even there the Soton boys feel better value - he’s very pricey for his recent returns.

Don't pre-plan that move. TAA should play over Doherty + Laporte. (probably the former)

    4. JohnnyMagrinho

Is Mendy coming back into City's starting XI?

If so that would definitely diminish Laporte's appeal as he's looked quite dangerous getting forward as LB.

You'd still have him in the box for set pieces but you'd be more so relying on CS than attacking returns (potentially).

So as a quick distraction from all the RMTs,

Who is the FIRST name on your team sheet for next season?

I’m thinking Siggy, and I’m not even joking.

    Or Robertson maybe. Or Jimi...lol

Much depends on price and signings etc obvs

Milivojevic if he's 7.0. Jimi will be at least 8.5 (should be 9.0 tbh) , think I'll stay clear.
Deulofeu could be gold. KDB is likely to be underpriced a bit because of how few points he's had this season.

As you said it all depends on pricing so it's a bit silly to debate.

I'd imagine Salah & Van Dijk/Robertson are shoe ins whatever the cost, and your customary 3 City picks along with Rashford & Jimenez.

The more I think about it the more I feel it's a mistake to get rid of Vardy. If not for the DGW blinkers no one would even be considering selling a player in his form with his fixtures. Are Lacazette and Deeney really better options? I doubt either of them start the next three games. Vardy is nailed on for 180 minutes.

I don't think he's a bad option at all, in fact I think he's a good one, but there's been a massive kneejerk to Watford's win in the FA Cup coupled with Arsenal blanking against Everton. Seems like 90% of the people on here have downgraded Laca/Auba to Deeney.

Deeney hates Arsenal. Has to be stopped from climbing the fence with his air rifle to take a few of them out at training.

Deeney is also in good form, pumped, motivated to keep it up until the cup final.

    Please do not copy:

    Ederson
    TAA Dunk Duffy
    Eriksen Son Jota Sterling
    Kane Jimenez Troy

Foster Redmond Doherty Bednarek (BB 35)

4,3m ITB for either Eriksen->Salah in 36 or Mane + Bobby F in for Troy and Eriksen

What with Bale’s age, injury issues and wage demands, where on earth could he go?
Can’t see any top club being in for him. Will he just drift off to America?

I think Chelsea would go for him if Hazard leaves and they get the ban frozen.

        That’s a big if and I don’t think they’ll pay that for someone who’s 30

I think so. After advice I have moved Ryan/Vert > Lloris/Dunk, primarily because I think both Brighton CBs carry goal threat & I'd hate to choose the wrong one in 34.

Who have been your forgotten gems this season? Obviously the likes of AWB, Doherty & Jimenez have done well & steadily climbed in price over the course of the season, but I completely forgot I ever owned Mitro, and he was absolute gold for me at the start of the season.

I can't remember them, by definition.

Alright: Wilson, Alonso, Ryan for 3 weeks, Trippier (has he really had a bad season)?

Amazed I've never owned Trippier this year. There was a period he seemed to be consistently killing me earlier this season, but everytime I've had a spot in my team since he's been either injured or a massive rotation risk.

Two teams for a WC which do you prefer.

    #1
    Lloris
    TAA - Laporte - Doherty - Duffy - Bednarek
    Mane - Hazard - B.Silva - Eriksen - Hudson.O
    Kane - Jimi - King

    #2
    Begovic/Boruc (on rotation)
    TAA - Dunk - Bennett - bednarek (4.1)
    Mane - Hazard - B.Silva - Son - Hudson.O
    Kane - Aguero - Jimi

    Cheers Lads

      Jota.
Deulofeu could if he starts both but will he?

I suppose Gracia wont start twice in 4 days a player who is tired, in order to not risk an injury before FA cup final.

Wolves only have the league now so I guess they are going all out for 7th spot, and every main player will start every game

Finally nailed it! Big worry was not having Salah when I fee he’s about to explode, so have saved 1.7m to upgrade to him from Sterling in GW36. Big worry now is no Aguero but he can be swapped directly with Kane as necessary. Very happy with this lot now, especially as I only have around 103m to spend:

    Ryan, Foster
    Trippier, TAA, Doherty, Dunk, Valery
    Sterling, Mane, Eriksen, Jota, JWP
    Kane, Jiminez, Deeney

    Thoughts?

Looks good and nice to have the option to upgrade to Salah if you feel its necessary.
I would be a little worried about no city cover for the run in though!
