Teemu Pukki (£6.8m) has already taken FPL by storm, scoring four goals in his first two Premier League matches.

Fantasy managers are flocking to sign the Norwich forward, with a third price rise of the season occurring overnight.

The hat-trick scored against Newcastle in Gameweek 2 sent the demand for Pukki into overdrive, but his new owners were clearly also impressed with his ability to score even at Anfield in Gameweek 1.

However, there are still some who are a little concerned about Norwich’s upcoming fixtures.

So we’ve analysed the numbers recorded so far this season to test whether or not Pukki is a sensible signing for Gameweek 3.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

Have Pukki’s underlying statistics been good?

Lessons learned from Gameweek 2

      There's a captain poll:

      Sterling 29.44%
      Salah 5.86%
      Martial 2.96%

        I imagine those chosing other options are either trolling or somehow don't have Sterling.

          Yeah, Martial is a daft choice. Also the question on the poll is "Best captain for GW3?" not "Who will your captain be?" or "What's a maverick captain pick you fancy in a poll for a laugh but would never realistically do?"

      Only dilemma is if you have Kane but (un)luckily we both don’t 🙂

      So let me say it this way - last season it was Mané due to price, but this year for 1M difference only - Salah all the way.

      You might be surprised what I am going to say, but Salah will be the highest scoring player in FPL this year too :))))

    I need help... A or B?

    A)
    Ryan (Button)
    TAA Zinchenko Coleman AWB (Lundstram)
    Salah Sterling KDB Martial (Cantwell)
    Pukki King (Greenwood)

    B)
    Adrian (Button)
    Soyuncu Zinchenko Coleman AWB Lundstram
    Salah Sterling KDB Martial (Cantwell)
    Kane (Greenwood, fodder)

    1) Kane + Soyuncu + Lundstram vs TAA + Pukki + King long term?
    2) Adrian over Ryan short term?

      B leaves you extremely vulnerable up front with two fodder options. Means you have to play 2 of Cantwell, Lundstram and Soyuncu every week (haven't seen the rotation with those options but it may not be very good)

    Ryan (Button)
    TAA Van Djik Digne Dunk Lundstram
    Martial Sterling Salah (Dendoncker, PEREZ)
    Jota DEULOFEU (King)

    2FT, 0.0 ITB

    A) Perez & Deulofeu -> Mount/Trossard & Pukki
    B) Perez & Deulofeu-> Maddison & Chica
    C) Perez (save 1 FT) -> Mount/Grealish/Trossard
    D) Deulofeu -> Chicha/other 6.4 or less forward

      If there's no rotation, Zinchenko's fixtures are better. AWB is a bonus point merchant, and United have been pretty decent at the back. Slightly worse fixtures, but CSs possible.

    Benching decision:

    Pope
    VVD / Digne / AWB / Montoya
    Salah / Sterling / KDB / Perez
    Pukki / Jota

    Button // Wood / Dendoncker / Kelly

    Not unlikely that Southampton score vs. Brighton. Play Wood or Dendoncker over Montoya?

    Acutely worried about another Jota 60 minute cameo, too - but Wood suffered the same fate last weekend.

      Dan Burn has four penalties area touches and three goal attempts.

      Dunk 2 and 1
      Montoya 2 and 0.

      All three have created one big chance each.

        Not prone to losing his place to Webster?

          Yeah, maybe so, certainly looks to have made a good start though.

          I’ve got him in my Sky team as he’s dirt cheap in that game.

        Could Burn be under rotation risk once Webster is back?

        Montoya tempting.. Haven't seen any Brighton matches this season. How has he done on the eye test?

        Dunk nailed, threat from set pieces, possible BAPS..

        Trez will come good, be an out there pick (prefer Mcginn) but could be profitable!

      By the time you know whether Perez has blanked again, you'll have 1.5 times the data on 6-6.5 midfielders that you currently have. Someone new could emerge, one of ABC could disappoint, Leicester could click etc.

      I'd say so. Donkey good sub for Digne. Might be tempted with a keeper bench swap (haven't decided myself yet).

        No it’s not. I could change keepers. I could take a -4. I could change my bench order. I could also have missed some news like Digne or another playing being confirmed out. I was just wanting a check. If I can check here where can I? Thanks anyways!

      Hi I’m a West Ham fan Haller I’m sure he will score goals over the season but it might take me a few games Anderson is a bit inconsistent with mostly scoring but gets assists every once in a while they should start against Watford if you want a West Ham player Lanzini may be a better option

    Anyone going to be keeping an eye on Pepe.

    He needs a couple of full 90 minutes to get going.

    Surprising a player which cost Arsenal bot legs and arms is being used sparingly...
