Teemu Pukki (£6.8m) has already taken FPL by storm, scoring four goals in his first two Premier League matches.

Fantasy managers are flocking to sign the Norwich forward, with a third price rise of the season occurring overnight.

The hat-trick scored against Newcastle in Gameweek 2 sent the demand for Pukki into overdrive, but his new owners were clearly also impressed with his ability to score even at Anfield in Gameweek 1.

However, there are still some who are a little concerned about Norwich’s upcoming fixtures.

So we’ve analysed the numbers recorded so far this season to test whether or not Pukki is a sensible signing for Gameweek 3.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

Have Pukki’s underlying statistics been good?

Lessons learned from Gameweek 2

City high line vs Wilson's pace on the counter...
Can see him getting in behind a few times and bagging a consolation goal.

Do yourself a favour Dele and have a look into their history. I don’t know who you support but I’m pretty ruddy proud of being a ‘mediocre’ premier league team considering how far we have come.

I would say everyones priorities should be these 4 players and probably in this order:-

    1 KDB
    2 Martial
    3. Pukki
    4. Mount

Who is on your priority list??

Well certainly not mount. He's a rotation risk with Barkley. Lamps has already said he won't play every week.

      Martial

But you obviously don't have him yet, so I assume you didn't fancy his chances early doors.

Besides which, I deliberately laid off Leicester players as I felt their fixtures were tough until GW9, when they then start to go green.

I figured preseason that by the time you'd actually want to consider owning Vardy his price would have dropped for exactly the reasons you're seeing now.

Fixtures look great, should come good. Im a not owner, but will be watching him. Difficult to fit him in my team though, with Sterling, Salah, KdB and Martial who I all want to keep and rate higher than Siggy atm

Siggy has always drop in price in most seasons. Better to hang on to the reason you picked him in the first place.

    3. Kiwi Don
      • 14 Years
      7 years, 3 days ago

Siggy is a slow accumulater of points so you have to have patience otherwise you miss his big hauls.

    4. Nomar
      • 16 Years
      7 years, 3 days ago

      Form over fixtures.

Martial cheaper, rising and on fire in an attacking United team who should still finish above Everton.

The lesson I've learnt from the previous mistakes I've made is to ship players who lose value straight away at the start of the season and get on one's who are rising.

You may need a points hit to do it now, but the way I see it is that the longer you leave it the more hits its going to cost you when you finally decide to sort it out.

      1. Triple P
        • 11 Years
        7 years, 3 days ago

I agree, so many in form midfielders atm. Though a player like Siggy or Erikssen needs patience. They will get points in the end, but rarely with big hauls. These players are seasonkeepers you don't only get for form or fixtures imo

    5. Shineonme
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 3 days ago

Nope. For me he's ovrepriced. Better options out there who are even cheaper and Martial is one of them. Mid playing as striker for a top 6 club. Couldn't ask for better.

I think he'll play CL and other midweek games.
I think that he could be used on the left side.

Think AWB has a potential role here as placeholder for Cancelo. That was part of my thinking in getting him in last week. Great fixture this week of course.

Have Robbo Digne AWB - who could all go for one of

    Any thoughts here:

    Heaton (Pope)
    Digne/Walker/Azpi (Montoya/Lund)
    Salah/Martial/KDB/Greal/Dend
    Kane(c)/Jota (King)

Why all the love for El Mohamady all of a sudden?

Sounds great. Just thought one might want clean sheets as well

    A. Mane & Boly
    B. Salah & 4.5 / 4.6 / 4.7

B, although would probably pick Mane if wildcarding - but not to enable Boly

Hmm. You don't have any fomo over Salah, though?

Didn't watch their last game, but from the highlights there sure was a lot of Mane great plays

I'd probably have some fear, but hope to more efficiently use the saving elsewhere

I hope there is a massive EMP just before the Spurs Newcastle game

Either that or i need to take myself into a network dead zone in the country somewhere

If Digne is deemed unfit to play this week's game, makes sense to downgrade him on a WC right?

      Yes.
But might be worth keeping if he is only out for a week.

Yeah. If I manage to get in KdB by doing it, I'll consider it anyway

    Who scores more next match.
    A) Firmino - home against Arsenal
    B) Vardy - home against Newcastle

    1. MTPockets

      Vardy's not playing Newcastle

          Would guess Firmino

Not sure whether to get Son, Firmino or Rashford on wildcard.

    A) Rashford Wan-Bissaka Cantwell
    B) Firmino 4.5m def Cantwell
    C Son 4.5m def Greenwood

    Which one?

4.5m defenders I'm considering are Dunk Aarons El Mohamady, any better than that? Other defenders are Digne & Lundstram.

      A right now

Yeah that was my initial thoughts, although Firmino's record vs Arsenal and the temptation of jumping on Son early got me thinking. The 'A' option also is man utd's overload but that could build some decent team value if they do well.

Agree that C's more appealing if patient, and assuming Cantwell really is just for the bench

Who would collect more points this weekend: Cathcart or Wilshere?

Sorry for an utterly disappointing question at this time of day.

Any advice on this WC team?
    Fabiaski (button)
    Walker, Maguire, Coleman (montoya, lundstram)
    Sterling, Debryne, Lazini, Mount, (5.5)
    Kane, Fermino (4.5).

Wo should I bring in at 5.5?

Could work. I think Jota and martial are great picks. Mount if nailed as well. I would go for it
