Teemu Pukki (£6.8m) has already taken FPL by storm, scoring four goals in his first two Premier League matches.

Fantasy managers are flocking to sign the Norwich forward, with a third price rise of the season occurring overnight.

The hat-trick scored against Newcastle in Gameweek 2 sent the demand for Pukki into overdrive, but his new owners were clearly also impressed with his ability to score even at Anfield in Gameweek 1.

However, there are still some who are a little concerned about Norwich’s upcoming fixtures.

So we’ve analysed the numbers recorded so far this season to test whether or not Pukki is a sensible signing for Gameweek 3.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

Have Pukki’s underlying statistics been good?

Lessons learned from Gameweek 2

    Non-WC, for a -8

    Pop
    Lundstram Zinc Robbo Digne
    KDB Salah Perez Sterling
    Pukki Rashford

    Locked in. Feeling pretty happy

Next weeks question is who to take Perez out for so I’ll review this weekends sub 6.5m performances

the way I see it, I've got what most people are wildcarding too for -8

I'd rather keep my wildy for later on in the season

    Pope
    VVD - AWB - Digne - Lundstram

    On wildcard -

    1 - Kane - Martial - McGinn/Ceballos

    or

    2 -Rashford - KDB - Ndombele/Mount

    Can't decide between the two.

Long term yes, but quite a few Everton fans still think DCL starts against Villa, with Kean starting the EFL Cup tie in midweek.

True, but he's got the assists so far, and still got the potential to score in all games. Plus, even at 8m, he's actually still good value. Otherwise, get even better value with the 6/6.5m strikers if you really want to get rid. He's in teams for a reason, probably a season keeper for me, one less transfer to stress about, just tweak the cheap options.

It all comes down to this with price rises from now on.

You can have Kane but if you want Salah Sterling and KDB and Kane then your defence might end up being a let down and hits to fix if you used your WC.

I believe the budget forwards such as Barnes, King, Jota will probide more value long term. Pukki is still early days but value for money there surely cannot be beaten at the moment.

Then there is Haller that also needs to hit the ground running.

Ones up from these are Vardy (who I got rid of before his price fall) Wilson and Rashford. To get Vardy back not going to see me rip up my team and if he does deliver over the next 3 to 4 gameweeks then I will still first look at whether Barnes and King are performing.

Budget strikers way to go in my humble opinion in order to get most out of the rest of your team. Pukki on his way not to be a budget striker though lol. Easy fix if he does not perform but think he is going to put some good scores in this season.

Got on the Pukki train last night and feeling really good about it. I'm so prone to being stubborn and refusing to buy into cheap bandwagons early season, which has hurt me in the past.

At the end of the day, he's cheap. Even if he turns out to be a dud it's not the end of the world. But the focal point of an attacking Norwich side, good finisher and possibly on pens - no brainer to have him imo

Digne still RISING here, at 9.1: http://fplstatistics.com .

I won't be taking him out, until he is near a fall.

I also think that swapping Aubameyang for Rashford is, well, rash ... to say the least.

I'd be doing that move to fund Son or KDB for Perez and much prefer their fixtures to arsenals. Not sold on Kane and can't decide.

This mini wildcard thing has its drawbacks - missing out on Pukki for example. Diop can play instead of Digne if necessary. Personally, I'd gamble on turning Wesley into Maupay and let your subs take up the slack, save taking the hit.

Cheers. I considered Maupay but not sure he'll start just yet and really want spurs or united as their fixtures are crazy. Palace are awful so defo want Rash or martial, may avoid spurs. And just do Aubam, Robinson/Perez to Martial, Rash.

I doubt it but it would be just my luck that it happens and they get a clean sheet.

Liverpool have been shaky and Klopp likes to play Gomez at RB against stronger opponents. We saw it last year when he was healthy, saw it this year against Chelsea in the Super Cup.

Possible as he has been benched in some tougher games, but imagine more likely he will start - it's only Arsenal

I think he starts, Klopp needs a big performance and he's their best right back, with no midweek game to follow.

        Yes Sir .

Before the Luiz signing, chambers was a good buy.

Happy to get 2 pointer Hayden come in if none of the starting 11 doesn't play.

It's difficult to find the words but three heavy hitters seems not optimal for some reason. It looks fine for this week at least. Get Lundstram when you have a chance. His goal wasn't absurd or anything but he is in midfield and wanders forward a few times a game. Chambers is done.
