The only Gameweek 7 match to take place this Sunday kicks off at 16:30 BST, as Leicester City welcome Newcastle United to the King Power Stadium.

The headline team news surrounds the unavailability of James Maddison (£7.1m), who misses out with the ankle knock that he picked up against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Brendan Rodgers said ahead of kick-off:

We wanted to give him every chance but it was always going to be unlikely that he could [play]. But he’s back working now and hopefully next week he’ll be fine.

Maddison is the only player on either side who is currently owned by more than 10% of Fantasy Premier League managers.

Dennis Praet (£5.3m) fills in for his sidelined teammate and makes only his second Premier League start since his summer move from Sampdoria.

Other than that enforced change, Leicester City are otherwise unchanged from the side that defeated Spurs.

That means that Ayoze Perez (£6.0m), who is yet to register an attacking return in 2019/20, gets a start against his old club.

Perez scored the only goal of the game in this corresponding fixture last season, while still on Newcastle’s books.

Steve Bruce has made three changes from the side that drew 0-0 with Brighton, one of which sees Sean Longstaff (£5.0m) replace the injured Jonjo Shelvey (£5.0m) in midfield.

Sweden international Emil Krafth (£4.5m) replaces Javier Manquillo (£4.4m) in a like-for-like swap at right-back, while Yoshinori Muto (£5.3m) gets his first start of the season at the expense of Jetro Willems (£4.5m) – which means a system change to a back four for the Magpies.

Bruce said before the game:

Jetro [Willems] picked up an injury in the week with his knee and with Matt Ritchie being out too, we haven’t got anybody natural in that left wing-back position.

Andy Carroll (£5.4m) is once again on the bench, along with Allan Saint-Maximin (£5.4m).

Isaac Hayden (£4.5m) is the most-owned Newcastle asset on show but has been benched by over 75% of his owners, which perhaps says all there is to know about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Magpies.

Jamie Vardy (£8.9m) has been handed the armband by 78,089 FPL managers in Gameweek 7.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel; Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell; Ndidi, Tielemans, Praet; Barnes, Perez, Vardy.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka; Krafth, Schar, Lascelles, Dummett; Atsu, Hayden, Longstaff Almiron; Muto, Joelinton.

Feel like this season has seen something of a purple patch in terms of minus GW totals in FPL. More than any other season. I might be wrong. I've had three in my squad in the past two weeks. Today three more in one game, I believe. It's the risk we take though eh guys?

Yeah nice fixture too, Norwich haven’t looked great last 2 games though and already have Pukki. Would be priced out if I don’t make the transfer soon, don’t think it’s a great idea making my transfer before a bunch of midweek games though

    Kun Tammy Pukki

    Ceballos, Kelly, Soy 1FT, 2.9M

    A. save FT

that is true. I like hits though, some times to much 🙂
but to your point I might do a mini WC after the next GW.

Will need to loose one of Sterling / Kun eventually as I cannot go without pool attackers too long.

Also definitely getting Vardy after pool.
wish I took pereira over soy this GW... decided to bank the 1.4 M difference and it is reflected in the points now...

    Pope (EVE)
Robertson VVD Otamendi Tomori (LEI, LEI, WOL, sou)
Salah Sterling KDB Mount (LEI, WOL, WOL, sou)
    Pukki Abraham (AVL, sou)

Lundstram, Greenwood, Dendoncker (wat, new, mci)

Looking at downgrading one in defence to move to a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3.
Should I hold the transfer this week though?

    Horror week :/

    1FT

    Team:
    Pope, McGovern
    Arnold, Otamendi, Aurier*, Pieters, Lundstram
    Sterling, Salah, KDB, Mount, Cantwell
    Pukki, Abraham, Barnes*

Do you have patience for Barnes?
    Aurier out for sure.

    A) Aurier ----> Soyuncu (Barnes ----> King next week)
    B) Aurier&Barnes ----> Rico&Haller -4 (can't wait for next GW, have exactly money)

Pieters has proven to be a strong third option on defense and I don't think I need Soyuncu.
    Better Invest money in Haller??

    1. MTPockets

I’m sticking with Barnes for a bit. Fixtures are ok and he’s done well over an extended period so I think he’ll come good again. Plus I have no money to upgrade him! King is too sideways.

Think b is better than a. But overall I don’t think I’d take the hit for that even if it means you miss you.

      1. T.Henry14

I will go with Aurier ---> Rico for now, with 0.8 itb and a few more days to think.

I hope Barnes doesn't fall in price and Hahler doesn't go up, in that case I wouldn't have to make another transfer this GW.

You can't expect a 6.5 (starting price) fwd to score every week. If he bags 15 goals this season you'll be sitting pretty. Just be patience, transfers are valuable, and sure Vardy/Wilson could score and Pukki could blank but the odds are in Pukki's favour this week.

I've had success with TC on DWG but I can see if I didn't wanting to change it. I know some had to TC Carroll one year in a dwg just to play it (which is always the risk of waiting).

Subject to midweek, Mane and Pukki to McGinn/Yarmo and Aguero + cash for free? Only other City attack is KDB, no other Pool attack (unless you count TAA).

Mate is leading work ml - no Salah or Sterling since day 0, thought he'd have no chance.

Currently 60 points ahead in the league, near top 2.5k, and still has Auba to play tomorrow.

He's killing it, and I thought he was a hopeless fool GW 1.

I'm at a similar rank without either. Though I did start with both, ditched on a WC a few weeks ago. Still expect them to be in top 5 (and probably 3) scoring mids, just a matter of getting them at the right time I guess and if taking out having enough TV to get them back later.

Sterling is an interesting one though, he is always haul capable but I do think his value is reduced somewhat stuck on the left.

I was all but convinced on A due to his strong fixtures. Pukki though has decent ones also. Vardy is tempting me as it allows me to upgrade VVD + Ceballos > TAA + Mount.

I’m still strongly on A though but means I’ll also have to do VVD > Matip
