Manchester United take on Arsenal this evening in the final match of Gameweek 7. Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 20:00 BST.

There were a few surprises upon the release of the teamsheets, the biggest of which saw Marcus Rashford (£8.4m) named in the United starting XI.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had, without explicitly ruling the England striker out of the Monday night clash, strongly suggested that Rashford would struggle to recover for this meeting with the Gunners in Friday’s press conference but the most-sold FPL asset of this week maintains his ever-present record.

All of which is bad news for the 20% or so of Mason Greenwood‘s (£4.4m) owners who started the budget FPL forward in Gameweek 7, as the teenage forward is only among the substitutes.

Paul Pogba (£8.4m) has also recovered from the swollen ankle he aggravated in the EFL Cup tie against Rochdale last week and returns to the midfield.

Pogba replaces Nemanja Matic (£4.8m) in the double-pivot, while Jesse Lingard (£6.4m) ousts Juan Mata (£6.3m) from the number ten role.

There is no Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) in United’s starting XI, meanwhile, with his place in defence being taken by youngster Axel Tuanzebe (£4.4m).

The Red Devils have revealed that Wan-Bissaka misses out because of tonsillitis.

Unai Emery has made two changes to his starting XI from the team that beat Aston Villa 3-2 last weekend.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (£5.1m) is available after returning from suspension but only makes the bench, with Calum Chambers (£4.4m) replacing him at right-back.

Dani Ceballos (£5.6m) also makes way, with Lucas Torreira (£4.9m) promoted to the line-up.

Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney (both £5.4m) aren’t involved despite their return to first-team action in the EFL Cup last week.

Budget midfielder Bukayo Saka (£4.5m) – owned by just 0.1% of FPL managers – gets his second successive start and joins Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m) and Nicolas Pepe (£9.4m) in a front three for the visitors.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Tuanzebe, Lindelöf, Maguire, Young; McTominay, Andreas Pereira; Lingard, Pogba, James; Rashford.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Chambers, Sokratis, David Luiz, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Guendouzi, Torreira; Saka, Aubameyang, Pépé.

Lessons Learned from Gameweek 7

I think Auba has proven he doesn't need to pass an audition. Crap or not in this game he will get plenty of goals.

You're right of course, he's already proven his personal quality...but if he's in a team that can't support him and supply chances then there isn't any point in getting him in.

Looking forward to Keane at half time

If anyone can be relied upon to be scathing & uncompromising surely it’s him

We don’t need some sugar coated cliche’d politically correct vanilla nonsense - we need swearing, anger, ideally even fists smashing into the table, and a chair or two being thrown

    1. diesel001
      • 9 Years
      6 years, 10 months ago

That's why Keane is a crap manager. He thinks shouting at the players will make them magically improve their base ability and will get him results.

      1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
        • 16 Years
        6 years, 10 months ago

He doesn’t have the patience to deal with the modern day player and/or club administration

Not many do - maybe a handful of people in the world

Keane has the warrior gene and it’s just not in his nature to compromise or humour what he views as sub-standard effort & ability - that personality got him from a cork council estate to Being the most dominant central midfielder in Europe - so understandable that he wouldn’t change

Still can’t believe he took Sunderland from championship relegation zone to the premier league

Pep and his team analyse a whole heap of in-game and training data on each player. The rest patterns strike me as scientific as much as anything, so second guessing Pep without access to those same data is a fool’s errand.
I’d like KDB to start on Saturday but if his numbers suggest he is tired/tiring then benching will happen.
