The last Premier League fixture before the October international break takes place at St. James’ Park, as Newcastle United host Manchester United.

Kick-off on Tyneside is at 16:30 BST.

As anticipated, the Red Devils are without Paul Pogba (£8.4m), Anthony Martial (£7.5m), Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard (£6.4m) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) for this encounter.

Lingard, Pogba and Victor Lindelof (£5.4m) – who has picked up a back injury – make way from the team that drew 1-1 at Old Trafford, with Juan Mata (£6.3m), Fred (£5.3m) and Diogo Dalot (£4.9m) replacing them.

Ashley Young switches over to left-back to accommodate Dalot, with Axel Tuanzebe (£4.4m) partnering Harry Maguire (£5.5m) at centre-half.

There is still no league start for Mason Greenwood (£4.4m), who is only among the substitutes.

Marcus Rashford (£8.4m) again leads the line for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Steve Bruce has rung the changes after the Magpies’ 5-0 thrashing at Leicester last Sunday.

Emil Krafth (£4.5m), Paul Dummett (£4.5m), the suspended Isaac Hayden (£4.5m), Yoshinori Muto (£5.3m) and Christian Atsu (£5.4m) all drop out, with Ciaran Clark (£4.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.4m), Jetro Willems (£4.5m), Matthew Longstaff (£4.5m) and Allan Saint-Maximin (£5.4m) coming into the starting XI.

Not a single Newcastle player on show is owned by more than 5% of FPL bosses.

Rashford, Maguire, Daniel James (£6.2m) and David de Gea (£5.6m) all have double-digit ownerships, along with Greenwood.

Just over 100,000 FPL managers have captained Rashford for this fixture.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka, Yedlin, Schar, Lascelles, Clark, Willems, M. Longstaff, S. Longstaff, Saint-Maximin, Joelinton, Almiron.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Young, Fred, McTominay, Andreas, Mata, James, Rashford.

We'll need to add a notice on here somewhere that when Sheffield leapfrog Manchester they will be formally known as 'United'

Keep double Liverpool defence for United and Tottenham?

    1. Another Hoops
      7 years, 19 days ago

You might want triple attack looking at those defences.

    2. Peter Ouch
      7 years, 19 days ago

      That's a difficult task.
But there is a lot of value in cheap defenders like Chelsea Burnley Brighton.

      Although alison is back

    WC ON:

    The question is

Also to have salah over mane ?
And is it worth to get TAA over robboTerrible gameweek

    1. Salah’s Sonnet

How nailed is Harry Wilson? Considering an offensive double up of him and Callum Wilson with Norwich at home (who now have yet another defender injured)

    1. Alonso The Great Midfielder
      7 years, 19 days ago

dont think bournemouth score much to double up their player

  26. Miguel Sanchez

    A) James to Maddison
    B) Pukki to Wilson

  29. Dannyb

I genuinely can't believe we've just lost again. The whole team needs scrapping and starting from scratch. I'm honestly gobsmacked we've just lost to Newcastle.

    1. JIMMY TUGGINS
      7 years, 19 days ago

I can believe it. I said 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 or 1-1. Can't be surprised at losing to anyone now, especially away.

  30. InSaneMan-e
    7 years, 19 days ago

Serves Ole right. Absolute know it all attitude since he took charge.

Rather than trying to get the best out of 2 proven premier league players (lukaku, Sanchez) who are worth 30 goals/season together, he chose the easy option to get rid and not even replace.

Anyone could have told you that gomez/chong/pereira are not the sort of players to carry you to a decent season.

Theres a way to plan for the future. But this is just mediocre.
Oh, and rashford (his 1 supposedly bright light) has also regressed.

    1. Party time
      7 years, 19 days ago

Ever since I watched his interview after winning his first 3 games. I knew he was going to lead united into a deep dark hole. He was so arrogant & then he mentioned sht about José which I did not like

      1. InSaneMan-e
        7 years, 19 days ago

        Remember the fluke PSG win.
"Its Utd, its what we do".
        Stinks of arrogance and entitlement.

        1. Party time
          7 years, 19 days ago

Ohh Yes! I remember that comment as well 🙂

          1. InSaneMan-e
            7 years, 19 days ago

And since then it's been dreadful.
Jurgen klopp is more humble despite actually winning things.
Ah well, my club is in a dark dark place.

            1. Party time
              7 years, 19 days ago

Yes he is & bery sarcastic too. Hopefully things get better at united buddy even though I don't like the club

    2. Bartowski
      7 years, 19 days ago

Don't think it's all Oles fault. Man U don't appear to have anyone that goes and gets the deals he wanted. They just ended up massively overpaying for a couple of defenders.

      1. InSaneMan-e
        7 years, 19 days ago

I dont think Lukaku and Sanchez leave unless the manager signs on it. And if this is the case why not get the replacement first before selling them? Juve called off a dybala transfer because they did not get his replacement.

      2. Party time
        7 years, 19 days ago

I don't think any great player would like to join united during the last transfer window, even the injuries right now, some are fake injuries... They don't want to play for united anymore e.g Pogba & Martial... Wan Bissaka should've remained at Palace for heck sake!
