Son Heung-min (£9.6m) retains his starting place for Spurs in Gameweek 12 following his sending off at Everton last time out.

The South Korean’s challenge led to a horror injury for Andre Gomes (£5.3m) but he had his red card rescinded in the week.

Following a two-goal display in the Champions League, Son is back on the left-hand side of Spurs attack as they host Sheffield United.

Those searching for a budget forward with regular game-time to rely on will be encouraged by Lys Mousset‘s (£4.9m) third start in the last four Gameweeks for the Blades.

Despite a 21-point haul in Gameweek 11, John Lundstram (£4.8m) is the sixth-most benched option for Gameweek 12.

Following an uncharacteristic defeat to Sheffield United in Gameweek 11, Sean Dyche has made two changes to the Burnley defence for the visit of West Ham.

Full-backs Erik Pieters (£4.7m) and Matt Lowton (£4.5m) both drop to the bench allowing Charlie Taylor (£4.2m) and Phil Bardsley (£4.3m) to come in on the left and right respectively.

However, the most important development for the Clarets sees Chris Wood (£6.2m) return to the starting XI for the first time since Gameweek 9.

Jay Rodriguez (£5.7m) drops down to the bench and Ashley Barnes (£6.3m) holds his place in the side.

Opponents West Ham have also made changes after losing to Newcastle last time out, with a specific focus on the right-hand side.

Ryan Fredericks (£4.5m) comes back in for Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m) while Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.0m) drops to the bench also.

Robert Snodgrass (£5.2m), who has now started three in a row, shifts from the middle onto the right, with Pablo Fornals (£6.0m) coming into the side for Yarmolenko.

There are also plenty of changes at St Mary’s Stadium as Southampton host Everton.

Moussa Djenepo (£5.2m) makes his first start since Gamewee 5 while Cédric (£4.8m) is handed the right-back berth for the first time since Gameweek 6.

Following recent criticism, Michael Keane (£5.4m) drops to the Everton bench with Mason Holgate (£4.4m) coming in alongside Yerry Mina (£5.4m).

Alex Iwobi (£5.8m) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) are also among the substitutes this afternoon with Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.5m) and Cenk Tosun (£5.7m) occupying the number 10 and centre-forward roles respectively.

Thankfully for Fantasy managers, there are not too many team news updates from Newcastle this afternoon.

The Magpies are unchanged from the side that beat West Ham last time out, while Lewis Cook (£5.0m) is the only alteration for Bournemouth, Jefferson Lerma (£4.8m) missing out through suspension.

Burnley XI: Pope; C Taylor, Mee, Tarkowski, Bardsley; McNeil, Westwood, Cork, Hendrick; A Barnes, Wood.

West Ham XI: Roberto; Cresswell, Balbuena, Diop, Fredericks; Rice, Noble; Anderson, Fornals, Snodgrass; Haller.

Newcastle XI: Dúbravka; Willems, Clark, Lascelles, Fernández, Yedlin; Saint-Maximin, Shelvey, Hayden, Almirón; Joelinton.

Bournemouth XI: Ramsdale; Rico, Aké, S Cook, A Smith; Fraser, Billing, L Cook, H Wilson; J King, C Wilson.

Southampton XI: McCarthy; Bednarek, Vestergaard, J Stephens, Cédric; Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Armstrong; Djenepo, Redmond; Ings.

Everton XI: Pickford; Digne, Mina, Holgate, Sidibé; Schneiderlin, Davies; Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Tosun.

Spurs XI: Gazzaniga; B Davies, D Sánchez, Dier, Aurier; Ndombèlé, Sissoko; Son, Alli, Lo Celso; Kane.

Sheff Utd XI: D Henderson; O’Connell, Egan, Basham; Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Lundstram, Baldock; Mousset, McGoldrick.

But, to explain, the Vikings hail from Minnesota, where a LOT of Scandinavians settled...The Cowboys are from Dallas, home of many a cattle ranch throughout history. So, they're about the most apt, and accurate, nicknames a local team could have.

Plays thanks for taking the time to explain. My English sensibilities would still prefer them to just be called Minnesota FC Vs Dallas United though.

Sure!! But, most all Prem teams have nicknames too (some are quite odd too!), Red Devils, Gunners, Blues, Reds, Spurs, Canaries, Cherries...

I know the games aren't finished, but early thoughts on:

Pukki, Sterling, Kelly/Montoya --> Abraham, Maddison, Robertson (-4)?

Good to see all the Newcastle defenders have returned something in the last two weeks, apart from the one I bought who got injured. Fun game this FPL thing 😉

Benching Lundstram is more stressful than non captaining vardy

  10. Ze_Austin

It's getting quite awful now. Started Rico, Mount and Perez ahead of Janmaat and Lund. There were scenarios in which Mount scored or missed the game entirely, Bournemouth kept another clean sheet against opposition with poor attacking stats, Norwich's attacking threat at home or the Watford red (raised my hopes) led to something for them, Spurs carried their momentum into this game and scored at least once while Lund had to be more defensive... 50:50 stuff all round, and I just had to pick the wrong options

    Again

    It's getting to me 🙁
