Aston Villa take on Newcastle United at Villa Park this evening. Kick-off in the very last match of Gameweek 13 is at 20:00 GMT.

The Magpies are unbeaten in their last three fixtures and a win for Steve Bruce’s side would lift them above Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur into ninth.

Villa, on a three-game losing streak after a tricky run of matches, will be hoping to pull four points clear of the drop zone with victory tonight.

From a Fantasy perspective, the headline news sees the return of Tom Heaton (£4.5m) and Jack Grealish (£5.9m) from calf injuries.

Heaton missed out in Gameweek 12 and subsequently pulled out of the England squad, while Grealish hasn’t started a league game in a month.

Bjorn Engels (£4.5m) hasn’t recovered, however, so Ezri Konsa (£4.3m) starts again at centre-half.

Trezeguet (£5.2m) drops to the bench to make way for Grealish, while Conor Hourihane (£5.7m) replaces Marvelous Nakamba (£4.4m) in central midfield.

John McGinn (£5.9m), the only Fantasy Premier League asset who sits in more than 10% of squads, maintains his ever-present record.

Bruce’s only alteration from Gameweek 12 is an enforced one, with captain Jamaal Lascelles (£4.4m), who picked up a knee injury against Bournemouth, replaced by Paul Dummett (£4.4m).

Newcastle defenders have scored seven of their last nine league goals.

Not a single United player can boast a double-digit ownership, with bench fodder option Isaac Hayden (£4.4m) their most-owned player in FPL.

Aston Villa XI: Heaton; Guilbert, Konsa, Mings, Targett; McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Hourihane; El Ghazi, Wesley, Grealish.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka; Fernández, Clark, Dummett; Yedlin, Hayden, Shelvey, Willems; Almirón, Saint-Maximin; Joelinton.

      Ikr. I even played him over Pereira. What's not fun is TAA and Lund sucked so much.

      Sold him for Aurier before upcoming difficult fixture and thanks for his last display. Consider shipping him back at week 18

      Great at 4.8 as long as you have other defenders to cover if he is rotated.

      This is my defence going into the busy Christmas schedule:

      TAA, Soy, Tomori, Lund and Aurier in a 3-4-3.

      Benching headache but solid and cheap options so I don't mind. I reckon I will use all of them at some point because of rotation

          I’m in same situation but also rare position (for me) of 2fts and nothing urgent to do with them. Almost feel like I should transfer out a city boy though will probably be a mistake. Not thinking son myself though, could triple up on Leicester and Chelsea by bringing in Pulisic/Mount and Maddison/Barnes. Cantwell also would go out and I’d play 343 rather than 433.

    2 FT, 2.8 ITB - any thought would be appreciated :

    A) Dunk -> Robbo (Also own TAA)
    B) Dunk -> Aurier
    C) Mount + Connolly -> Dendoncker + Firmino / Laca
    D) Mount -> Pulisic
    E) Both B + D

    Current team:
    Pope, McGov
    TAA, Dunk, Soyuncu, Rico, Lund
    Mane, Mount, Maddison, Martial, KDB
    Vardy, Abraham, Connolly

    People told me about it but i wasn’t sure, I said I have too see it with my own eyes to believe it. Otherwise it’s just another myth like the Loch Ness monster or abominable snow man.

    But it’s true! the mythical Heaton cs does exist!

    I'm looking ahead to gws 15 and 16. I have Pope and Lowton, and they face City and Spurs. Not the best fixtures. Lowton will be on the bench, if not sold as well. The concern now, however, is having Button as my backup for Pope. So...

    -- Would you dump Button for Krul now (15/16: sou, SHU)?
    -- Stick with Pope in 15/16 and hope for save points? (Lowton > Soy now?)

    1. Dr Dream

      You do know Pope could easily get a CS’s worth of saves...so keep, No rhyme or rhythm to keepers. Pick two and just keep going.
