With one blank, two no-shows and a mere assist over the last four Gameweeks, Jamie Vardy (£10.0m) is not looking in the best of form of late.

Coupled with his zero shots against Southampton last time out, some in the community are considering ditching the Leicester City man to make room for Liverpool assets ahead of an enticing Double Gameweek 24.

Joe is joined by FPL Family’s Sam and Lee to discuss the sacrifices that will be needed to maximise the upcoming favourable fixture run for the Reds.

Could even the incredibly consistent Kevin De Bruyne (£10.7m) make way for the likes of Sadio Mane (£12.4m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.3m)? One of our trio is certainly considering this bold play.

True to form, though, Joe believes he has a dullard solution to keeping all his current gems and maxing out on Liverpool.

Elsewhere, the bargains among Southampton and Watford’s troops are looking too good to ignore. This is especially the case regarding Saints’ star striker Danny Ings (£6.8m). Meanwhile, there’s less love for the West Midlands teams with Wolves and Aston Villa players among those likely to depart our trio’s line-ups.

Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) takes centre-stage in our Rough with the Smooth round-up of the community’s Gameweek 22. Joe takes his turn to pick a differential, there are clean sheets to consider and this episode wraps up with the Scoutcasters’ transfer and captaincy plans for the Gameweek 23 fixtures.

Very keen to have 3 Liv players along with Martial, Alli and ideally triple Leicester for dgw 24.
Will appreciate your advice on the below:

    1) gw24: Rico Grealish Jimenez-> VVD Martial Greenwood for -4
    2) gw24: Grealish Jimenez -> Fleck FIRMINO
    gw25: Alli-> Martial
gw26: Maddison Firmino-> Salah Ayew for -4 (and rotate Ayew with Fleck)
    3) Rico Jimenez-> VVD Maupay for free
    4) Rico Alli -> GOMEZ Martial for free
    5) Rico Grealish-> ROBBO Hayden

    Currently squad:
    McCarthy
    Taa- Soy- Lundstram
    Mane- Kdb -Maddison- Alli
    Vardy -Ings -Jimenez

    Grealish Rico Kelly

Ings for sure ahead of Abraham

As for the other than KDB is the obvious pick but Son could be a nice differential. Low ownership, Norwich and Villa to come in next 4.

If you've got Mane and TAA, who would you add to complete the trio: Salah (+Traore) or Firmino (+Martial)? (For DGW 24)

    Which transfers for GW24:

    McCarthy Button
    Trent Lundstram Soyuncu Aurier Rico
    KdB Mane Grealish Martial Cantwell
    Vardy Ings Maupay

    A) Grealish & Rico >> Son & VVD (-4)
    B) Grealish & Soyuncu >> Son & Robertson (-4)
    C) Martial & Rico >> Son & Robertson (-4)
    D) Martial > Salah (free)

Trossard if you want a bit of a punt - playing Bournemouth and Villa in next 2 - doesn't get much better than playing those 2 teams for attacking returns right now

What do Pool fans think about Gomez place.
Is it his place to lose, will he be rotated?
When are Matip and Lovren back?

    1. Miguel Sanchez
      • 9 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

Matip back in training. Lovren still not back. Personally think it is Gomez's place to lose now and Matip will only be used in the Cup.

Not a Liverpool fan but you'd have to think there's more chance of rotation when they're back (goes without saying I suppose).

That being said, why would Klopp alter things at the moment? He can't have not noticed 6 clean sheets in a row, and Gomez has certainly helped with that.

    3. Mo Salah No Mane
      • 9 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

There's a good chance Klopp keeps him in the team. He has struggled to find form over the last few months and also it coincides with Liverpool's clean sheet run.
Maybe Klopp leaves him in the team for the epl and Matip plays cup and ucl.

    4. bench boost for every gamew…
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

in form he is better than both, and Klopp knows that. Lovren is on his way out and Matip usually takes a while to gain form. Would be strange to bench him, and previously Klopp sticks with the one that plays, Gomez last season played until he gets injured, Matip played until he get injured. Thing is with Gomez is that you get pace on that side of defence and with TAA being so further forward he covers that area better than Matip. Matip is just better with the ball, understands the game better, but not by much and he is significantly slower. Matip and possibly Lovren will get FA cup and then they will slowly get eased into it by coming in for some minutes. Gomez will injure himself some day. I´m riding out some weeks then i might just change to VVD in 26 or 27.

    Salah - Mane - KDB - Cantwell
    Vardy - Ings - Maupay

So where’s Ings biscuit legs getting a rest?

    Wolves home - Saturday 18th
Crystal Palace away - Tuesday 21st
Spurs home FA Cup - Saturday 25th

3 games in 7 days, he wont start them all, no doubt owners will say he’ll get a rest in the FA Cup but it could realistically come against Palace.

I'm in the rut, with the Fabianski and Martin double up. Now Kolasinac got injured too, so don't want to burn a trannie on a GK. But do I have to? Playing without one is just horrid obviously

I definitely decide to go with TAA-Salah-Mane for period between GW24 and GW29 or maybe GW31.
doubleGW, SOU, nor, WHU, wat, BOU (eve, CRY).

I must rotate 4th and 5th midfielders (Fleck and Cantwell) and use two formations, 3-4-3 and 4-3-3, but I think it will pay off.

After all, I have a wildcard If I mess up something bad.

Is Kdb to Son worth it in GW24?

Kdb faces 6 top teams in the next 8 after gw24, whereas Son faces Norwich, Villa, burnley and west ham during this time

Kdb will also most likely have a blank GW due to Carabao cup final

Imho yes. The only worries are Kane back and Jose.

Seems like Scout currently have a policy of bringing Youtubers onto their team of pundits. While Hub seem to be signing up people with a very good history.

Be interesting to see who comes out on top in the future. Those who talk a good game, or those who can play one.

I'm not, if Leicester make Carabao cup final, they could face Villa and norwich in same GW.. Vardy (TC)

I dont have Mane. Is he a mist having in mind all the triple captain chip and he being close to 200% ownership? I would have Robbo instead. Please advise

Would you bring in Cantwell on order to bench Martial?

Also will Cantwell have a blank? When we will know that?

Got to love Tyson Fury, spanking the monkey 7 times a day in prep for the Wilder rematch! He's not going to see a thing as Deontay dismantles him.

Deontay couldn’t dismantle a box of Lego.

      Fury to win easily.

stuck with what to do with 2fts and 1.9m

    Ryan
Taa • Lundy • Aurier --- Rico Zabaleta
    Grealish • Salah • KDB • Martial -- Stephens
    Vardy • Rash • Ings

A: Initial plan was to do Aurier >> Robbo (MUN) but not keen on it this gw. Also not keen on an attacking utd double up at anfield
B: Martial >> Fanderson...and then Aurier >> Robbo next gw
C: Martial >> Mahrez...and then do Rashford >> Firmino next gw
D: Rashford >> DCL and then do Martial >> Mane next gw
