FFS Cup

The second 2019/20 FFS Cup is now open for entry

Fantasy Football Scout users can now register their teams for our final Fantasy Premier League cup competition of the 2019/20 campaign.

We are launching our latest open-to-all tournament ahead of Gameweek 28, with £300-worth of prizes on offer as usual.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellycJoeGribudeGoonerdaveNinja_Fit_Saintssleeping masterMchWild RoverTdubb05 , CMIFLFCMarkLeon HarrisA Manager Has No NameSleepysiTH142EyedTurkMan-Chest-Heir, LOKOMOTIV and reigning champion Philman.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

HOW DO THE CUP COMPETITIONS WORK?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

WHEN DO THEY START?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 28, with the first round proper running in Gameweek 29.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10:30am on Monday 2 March, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draw shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

Entrants must also have registered their teams in Fantasy Premier League ahead of Gameweek 1.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Sign up for the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry. If your FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries below.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

HOW DO I FIND MY FPL TEAM ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I’VE QUALIFIED?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after Monday 2 March and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

WHAT IS THE GAMEWEEK SCHEDULE?

The FFS Cup competition will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule:

Fantasy Football Scout Cup Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 28

Round 1 – Gameweek 29
Round 2 – Gameweek 30
Round 3 – Gameweek 31
Round 4 – Gameweek 32
Round 5 – Gameweek 33
Round 6 – Gameweek 34
Quarter-Final – Gameweek 35
Semi-Finals – Gameweek 36
Final and third-place play-off – Gameweek 37

WHEN ARE THE FIXTURES RELEASED?

Where possible, the fixture list for each round will be published before each Gameweek deadline.

PRIZES

Overall Prizes
The prizes for the FFS Cup is as follows:

1st Place: £150 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Amazon voucher
3rd Place: £50 Amazon voucher

DO I HAVE TO ENTER IF I’M A PREVIOUS WINNER?

Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed so we will need to record your entry again. As a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.

DO I NEED TO BE REGISTERED WITH FANTASY FOOTBALL SCOUT?

We ask you to supply a Fantasy Football Scout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament.

Ideally, you will already have a username with us, but this is not essential to enter.

You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, should you enter multiple teams, or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament at any stage.

*The home page for the FFS Cup competitions is still in the process of being updated.

I am asking so much because it is a decision that will define the rest of the season.

Wc now fixes all of those issues.
The problem is that then before the double it will be a proble to set up BB...

So the question really is, is it worth to loose points now and hope to recover in the double or pull the trigger now?

what transfers would you make now if WC? I don't think that team is that bad like

are we gonna find out about City before Friday's deadline? If city do get DGW 29 I wouldn't WC that team

True, if WC i would sell probably 8-9 players.

The uncertainty around dgws puts me off.

If no wc probably vardy and fernandes in

          Select one path:
          FH in GW 31
Or no FH in GW 31.

If no FH try N dead end the team in GW 31 & WC in 32. That tactic worked brilliantly last season so van be fruitful again.

1 step further this time. 😀

I spoke to my daughter's chap about Perez and this is what he said:
"I think Perez DOES start against Norwich, 3 times out of 4 at least! I think. Probably. Almost certainly maybe."
He also thought that Barnes' absence last wewk was tactical and he'll be back this week.
      Good luck!

Those (including myself) who are considering Harvey Barnes, and still have Vardy... I wonder if the smart play is to actually save the FT with a view to either bringing him next week for AVL, or instead using your 2 FTs to prep for GW 31?

    - By doing Grealish > Barnes, I feel I'm effectively commiting to playing my FH in GW 31, which I'm not keen on commiting to until the FA Cup results are confirmed.

    - On paper, Norwich away is a very good fixture. But Leicester aren't exactly firing on all cylinders and Norwich seem to put up a bit more of a fight at home (only 4 goals conceded in last 4 home games).

    - I can field an XI without bringing Barnes, but would mean starting one of Williams or Greenwood.

What do people think? Saving the FT this week suddenly opens up a lot of opportunities to prep for GW 31.

I'm planning to activate my WC for GW29, and in that case I think I could lose Grealish.

I have Grealish. Will bench him & upgrade 8th attacker to Barnes/Perez.
Think that's a prudent way as Grealish will have GW 31 fixture IMO with WBA & Newcastle form in consideration.

Yep. I feel that Grealish > Barnes could still be a good transfer to make next week, FA cup results dependent (i.e. if Newcastle v Villa is a blank). It's not like you'll have missed the boat if Barnes scores well this week as his next fixture is even better - AVL at home.

Something is telling me that 2 FTs for next will be ideal, whilst at the same time still allowing you the opportunity to catch a potential Barnes haul against Villa.

          That is safe way Yep.
I'm backing Leicester to thump Norwich.

Will wait till late as we may get early news to decide about Barnes Perez

nah chase the upside of playing Norwich. Doubt Greenwood will start and Williams prob only gets 1 or 2pts even if he does

I get this argument - potential for Barnes to score well against Norwich. I just feel that, if he doesn't score well this week and you bring him in, you've effectively committed yourself to playing FH in GW 31.

Lei wont get to score more than 1 vs Norwich. Could be any scorer as Vardy is in bad form. Wait for europa match to get clearer picture about williams greenwood

    Hi all,

I've used one of my FTs to get Bruno in, just not sure on what to do with the other.

    A) Double up and get Martial
    B) Get Maddison or Barnes (already have Vardy)
    C) A different mid

    Help much appreciated.

It must be first post Fergie era that Manutd did 3 right transfer signings. Bruno, Bissaka and now since 2020 even Maguire are not flop signings. 3 more right signings in summer and Manutd could well be back to being a good team again. Could be great if they keep their big match mentality vs small.ones too

Sorry meant to say Wan is a very expensive youngster, patchy, earning a wonder pay packet and may never reach the heights.

He's one of the most improving players under OGS bro.
I think he'll be highly successful for us bar any career threatening injuries

Ole is a yes man living under Fergies shadow.

Problem is that there are not many manager who would want to take on Ole's managerial problems.

The best CB doesnt want to play in Europa instead of UCL. He is best for a reason.Slabhead is good. Slow starter but now goal threat and good presence in defence too

UTD have had patches under Ole. Good patches but the extremely bad patches trumping the good.

It is just a chain reaction. Bruno taken the footballing world by storm. He is in my team. How long it will last is anyones guess.

UTD have a long road ahead of them Bruno ain't going to fix it.

      Very good point mate.
Glazer's are biggest problem as we all know. But after SAF what has hampered our club is bad managerial appointments/firings & lack of footballing brains in upper echelon of the club.

Some of the signings were absolutely hilarious. Thing that has changed IMO since OGS has taken over is SAF must have pushed some influence towards him & make management believe in him.

I think we've cleared majority of mess (after 600m£ spend !!) Now & towards good things now.

We just need a good CDM + another box to box CM to replace Paul Pogba & one striker/RW.

Sancho? You do realise it is going to cost a stadium and a half to sign him?

          Plus he is still young.

Liverpool have struggled to win the League for 3 decades my friend.

Every team will go through a cycle 😀

SHU rised up from the lower Leagues now battling and giving the big teams a run for their money.

Wolves are a super well run club, have built a squad with peanuts capable of taking on any top 4 team.

Those are teams that seperate the men from the mice.
