It seems very likely to me that one of Salah or Jota will be benched. So you'd be in the same boat as Salah owners trying to guess which it will be, except your pick isn't as good a captain option as theirs.

Currently James Chilwell Robertson but will downgrade Robertson to lamptey to upgrade adams to ings. I have no bench if u want to know where my funds r coming from and i have a selling value of 102.6 currently. I'm sticking to my no bench rule because in all honesty i believe i can get more points from having a player like ings instead of watkins plus no bench than watkins over ings and a bench that might give me only 1 or 2 points for the 2 gws ings might not play over the hectic schedule.
Then my plan is to rotate the Lamptey position every week for a 4.5-4.8 player that plays sheffield or burnley every game. Sticking with my front 7 till the end unless someone gets injured.
If it works, it's great but it leaves very little flexibility for any other changes. I think a bench could be more important than normal this season. Last week I got 16 points of my bench cause of the missed Villa match.
Also some great value in the 6-8 mil striker bracket that you are missing out on I think. I've tried to shoehorn them all in but it leaves me very exposed in all other areas.
My point is u can probably make more than that with 1 good player than 2 mediocre players over the course of several gameweeks. Lets say he misses 2 games over the hectic schedule and i have no bench. I think thats a high possibility too. But do u think he would score less than 2 mediocre players being subbed in for each other for those 2 games. Wont he outscore those players every week before the benching. Is having a sub really that important then?
I'll have the enigma that is Rhian Brewster if its any consolation.

I personally don't have to go quite as 'low' as Wellbeck & Adams. I'll have Bamford & Watkins/Wilson. Think it's worth making the cash somehow to get one of those two personally.
Like you could do Chilly > James or a City DFer > Leeds DFer or something like that to make up the extraYeah having one of those two would definitely be better but its tough selling one of Chilly or Dias as they are great value at the price I paid for them.

My original plan was Vardy and Son to Salah (c) and Bamford -4 but with last nights minutes and the fixture tightness over GW12 - 13 i feel this is a bit risky. I also think Mahrez's minutes last night may also make him a rotation risk! I'm now considering the following:
A) Follow through with original plan
B) Kane/ Vardy and Mahrez to Bamford and Mane (c)
C) Hold and ride out this game week captain Son or Kane
This is my 2nd season playing and finding it tougher than last year! Any thoughts or insights would be much appreciated.B would be a -4
If you have doubts over Salah's playing time maybe leave it, especially for a hit and considering who you'll be dropping. At least hang on and see if Klopp has anything to say in the presser about Salah (although I'm doubting he'll say much since last night he just said he was fine to play and suggested he needed to build sharpness)

I jumped on early trying to get ahead of the game when he came back from injury last time and paid the price. That was when Jesus was out so no competition. I'll be very wary of bringing him back in too soon a second time. Pep is hoing to be even the more cautious and can see him very slowly working up game time and even then sharing starts with Jesus. Not worth it for the money for a while imo. Just get Kane.
Pep has said he won't start this weekend, although hard to trust him. Regardless I think he's just at a point now where he can't go a prolonged period without getting injured and even when fit he only gets 50-60 mins max most games
Too early but all reports of his demise and inability to play extended periods are premature. At 10.2 he could be the must have in a few weeks

The key to having 4.5 defenders is having at least 2 and rotating or transferring out ones with bad fixtures for good fixtures. There's no good 4.5 option. U just need to have the ones facing teams like Sheffield, Burnley, WestBrom etc. A Southampton defender looks good this week and next.
Genuinely considering going without Bruno.
I don't think I'd captain him at any point before GW19, there's always a better Liverpool, City or Spurs captain to take instead. Is it worth it? I know Bruno is insane, but he is expensive and it opens some powerful differential doors.

Agree, they both keep hauling nearly every week and seem to be able to do so regardless of fixture, Pulisic and Aguero are injury prone and only returning (again), Vardy isn't in incredible form and Mahrez's hauls are too inconsistent, you could have him for 4-5 weeks and he'll do next to nothing and then he could get a 15+ pointer

He’s a great captaincy option next week, but so is KDB.He is an option but I can always go KdB instead. GW13 is the only week though where I feel he's a top tier captain shout.

I have Bruno (Salah, Son and KDB as well), but he'll be going next GW as I, like you, don't think I'll be captaining him for a while and would prefer to upgrade Che Adams to someone who actually touches the ball and gets more than 2 points every game.If you have him, it's a keep. But I don't have Bruno yet.
If I don't have him, perhaps going for someone else is better. Wondering if there is merit to not going Bruno.
A bird in hand is better than two in the bush. It's why I'm likely to keep hold of Son because I already have him. Getting rid of players costs 4 points even when free because of the opportunity cost of using transfers.
I'll most likely captain him against Leeds GW14 so I will get him then. Rate him higher than KDB vs Southampton (A) though I do believe the Saints aren't as good defensively as people seem to believe.
I'd rather cap KdB vs Southampton than Bruno vs Leeds.
Leeds are such a weird team that I can totally see Ole being completely tactically bamboozled. They'll get like Kalvin Phillips to sit on Bruno and if he's man marked and out of the game, United could be completely shut down.
Leeds can also be overwhelmed by sheer attacking force. I am not sure Lampard outclassed Bielsa so much as just had a great front line. United are tailor-made to batter Leeds.
Alternatively, Leeds have dreadful defensive underylings and Bruno is an incredible player with very consistent returns. Rashford and Cavani could run riot vs that high line with Bruno feeding them, United tend to be at their best countering against offensive teams - like Southampton.
Even if Phillips was tasked with man marking Bruno, I'm not sure he'd be able to do successfully.True this is also possible. But I prefer backing City against Southampton personally.

I think B is a great differential at this stage of the season though, especially as he'll play as Hudson-Odoi and Ziyech are both out injured.
