With one eye on Gameweek 17 and the other on the Double Gameweek, Az looks at some low-owned FPL players to in his latest Pro Pundits piece.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas (even under strange circumstances) and are looking forward to the New Year and 2021.

I’m not going to focus this article on my team as Mark and I will be discussing what’s going wrong for me in our next episode of FPL BlackBox.

Instead, I’m going to present some differentials ahead of the upcoming Double Gameweek. I’m building my side out with the Free Hit in Gameweek 18 in mind, which leaves me free to plan who to have in place ready for Gameweek 19 – how exciting!

      Bigger upside in the initial plan, imo. Also love Vardy and Rashford, but I can't find the place for them in the team.

    Would you play the FH if going in with only 5 or 6 players for gw 18?

    Currently have Kane, Son, Martinez, Konsa and plan to add Stones to the list.

        Guess it makes sense to get through the chaos and keep the FH for a future blank/dgw.
        Could be very handy to have FH to attack a big dgw down the line.

      Yes I would. Some juicy fixtures with decent squads. MCI, Tott, villa. Can make significant ground IMO

      I’m not going to bother. It doesn’t entice me enough and I could be proved wrong but I think the FH will be more useful later in the season.

      I’m going to aim for 6-7 out and maybe BB in 19. That’s how my team is set up.

    Hear me out, but I'm planning on doing Taylor --> Furlong if Taylor is confirmed injured. Decent DGW fixtures against goal-shy Wolves and West Ham, and a good fixture home to Arsenal. I'm doing it.

        I fancy West Brom to keep clean sheets against both Wolves and West Ham, and actually can see them grinding a 0-0 against Arsenal given how bad they are attacking. Also a threat from set pieces. Don't like Burnley's fixture against Liverpool in the DGW also. And yes of course the whole Covid situation throwing doubt on the Burnley-Fulham game.

    I can see Vardy struggling against Newcastle if they play like tonight. But DCL looking far from dangerous lately, so might be time to ship?

    Arent people going for Bruno cap in the double? Two away games, sure ones vs Pool but they arent exactly tight at the back. I guess Salah is also an option, but Bruno I trust more and less likely to be rested

      I considered the same but he made some great runs and would have scored if it wasn't for a goalline clearance from Schar. Southampton, who I think will play the game to Liverpool will leave more gaps in the defence for Mane to run in behind and score.

    Is Kane>Vardy this week mental when Kane has Leeds? Im only tempted because of the double and well Vardys form is clearly better. Stupidly tho I will get Kane back in on FH18 which makes it seem even more silly
