Allsvenskan Fantasy 2021 – Scout Picks GW14

It’s been a while since anything was published here by me other than hot topics, in my absence however @BitacoraFantasy has been doing an excellent job with the “ones to watch”-series. With Gameweek 14 kicking off this weekend, we are faced with the increasingly real threat of rotation from Malmö, Elfsborg, and Hammarby. Some managers might be activating the first wildcard this week (just 1 more GW after this before it’s gone) and undeniably there will be some planning to do in terms of squad depth, and chip strategy.

    Nice picks. This is the last week before Wildcarding. Debating if I should have pulled the trigger this week, but fixture turns and transfer deadline next week may provide a (hopefully) upside with waiting.

      Yeah I figured I’d mostly want the same players next week and rotation will be as much of a factor then as it is now so took the plunge!

    Sounds like Witry’s off to join Jesper Karlsson at AZ Alkmaar. Farewell to Allsvenskan’s answer to TAA. 13 goals and 12 assists in 74 games across Allsvenskan and the Swedish Cup and a stalwart in almost half of all fantasy teams. Not easily replaced! Who are people considering? Paulsen has had great returns since rejoining Hammarby, while Eric Larsson at Malmö looks good but rotation is a bit of a concern.

      I think Paulsen is being criminally overlooked with the argument that “Hammarby is bad defensively”. His attacking threat is massive and he does a lot in defence as well that leads to DBs, as we can see from the 4 games played so far.

      Otherwise it’s Milosovic/Otieno if you don’t already have him for me. Larsson’s rotation risk is going to be so big in the coming weeks, I don’t think it’s worth the hazzle even if he’s a great player

        Completely agree about Paulsen. I’ve had him in my team since GW13 and have been a very happy owner so far!

        I already own Otieno so I could look at bringing in Milosevic, particularly with Otieno being suspended. Otherwise, I think I’ll look at downgrading and freeing up the funds to move further up.

      I like Milosevic a lot but it depends on if you maybe want to push some funds further up the field. I’d avoid Amoo 100% and Chili could also make way if you’re so inclined, think he’s better than Amoo though

        My main concern is if I should bring in AC or not. He takes up a huge chunk of funds, and weakens the rest of the team. I am worried about the game vs. Degerfors, he is a captaincy option, but Malmö have CL qualifications to prepare for.

          I can see him being rested for that game, maybe even suspended on purpose to get it out of the way? He is on 2 YC and they have some harder fixtures coming up, would make sense to take a tactical YC this GW.

      Seems to be nursing an injury and they prefer to have him for the European games while they’re still in it. Would steer clear a little while until things eases up a bit there
