Two sides in woeful defensive form meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Spurs v Manchester United kicks off at 17:30 BST.

The Lilywhites and the Red Devils didn’t keep a clean sheet between them in the six Gameweeks preceding this one, each conceding 13 goals in the process.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has responded to the thrashing by Liverpool by opting for a more defensive set-up, bringing in a third centre-half in the shape of Raphael Varane alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.

Edinson Cavani is also recalled to the side, so United seem to be lining up in a 3-4-1-2 as both Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have dropped to the bench.

Paul Pogba serves the first match of a three-game suspension after his sending off last week.

After naming an unchanged team for three matches in a row, Nuno Espirito Santo has made two alterations for the teatime visit of Solskjaer’s troops.

Ben Davies is in for Sergio Reguilon at left-back, while Giovani Lo Celso replaces Tanguy Ndombele in midfield.

GAMEWEEK 10 LINE-UPS

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo, Cavani.

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Dalot, Matic, Van de Beek, Sancho, Lingard, Rashford, Greenwood.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Emerson Royal, Romero, Dier, Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Moura, Lo Celso, Son, Kane.

Subs: Gollini, Doherty, Reguilon, Sanchez, Rodon, Tanganga, Alli, Ndombele, Bergwijn.

      😀 me too mate.
In hindsight shouldn’t have taken a hit for Foden. Should’ve played Livra. Ot Gallagher even. Nope. Decided to take a hit.
      Got to laugh.

Hopefully CHO did enough to keep his spot as there seems to be some decent options in the mid priced mids range. Will be hard to pick 2 when the time comes to replace him and Raphinha.

If you concentrate & listen very closely - you can hear a low pitched humming noise in the distance

That’s the quiet yet unmistakeable sound of Harry Kane’s hamstring taught & ready to snap at it’s third 90 minutes in 6 days

Seriously considering 3 Chelsea defenders - Teirney > James to add to Chilwell & Rudiger?

well Chilwell and Rudiger are locks, there were question marks about James but I guess he's silenced the critics, at least for now

Trossard and Zaha both were very impressive today, with nice fixtures coming up for each respectively. If Mbeumo isn't fit + Raph's fixtures aren't great, good replacements

      • 10 Years

Really liking both, leaning a little more toward Trossard and spending the cash elsewhere. Zaha on pens is a bonus though, looking to sell Raphinha after this or next week

Easy to be wise after the event but for anyone feeling bad about James, his minutes have been low, he tends to cameo and he’d played two lots of 90 minutes already this week. Probably be Azpi & Alonso at wing back next week!

Im always say that Liverpool is vulnerable at the back(because the high line pressing)- They got cleansheet because luck and poor finishing from opponent if you looking back. Different like Chelsea and City(but not tonight) which less likely to give many space for opponent

Too many points dropped now. Chelsea 10 men, 2:0 lead today, Brentford lead, City lead. I am worried Liverpool lost the title by this point. Liverpool needed Matip today.
