Two sides in woeful defensive form meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Spurs v Manchester United kicks off at 17:30 BST.

The Lilywhites and the Red Devils didn’t keep a clean sheet between them in the six Gameweeks preceding this one, each conceding 13 goals in the process.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has responded to the thrashing by Liverpool by opting for a more defensive set-up, bringing in a third centre-half in the shape of Raphael Varane alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.

Edinson Cavani is also recalled to the side, so United seem to be lining up in a 3-4-1-2 as both Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have dropped to the bench.

Paul Pogba serves the first match of a three-game suspension after his sending off last week.

After naming an unchanged team for three matches in a row, Nuno Espirito Santo has made two alterations for the teatime visit of Solskjaer’s troops.

Ben Davies is in for Sergio Reguilon at left-back, while Giovani Lo Celso replaces Tanguy Ndombele in midfield.

GAMEWEEK 10 LINE-UPS

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo, Cavani.

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Dalot, Matic, Van de Beek, Sancho, Lingard, Rashford, Greenwood.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Emerson Royal, Romero, Dier, Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Moura, Lo Celso, Son, Kane.

Subs: Gollini, Doherty, Reguilon, Sanchez, Rodon, Tanganga, Alli, Ndombele, Bergwijn.

      1. Superflymonk

TAA, Chilwell, Cancelo. Was afraid of bench cameo. It's that Azpilicueta fit news that did me in. Thought he would take James's place. I was already prepared to take 6 pts benching if he started did not think the damage would be this devastating. My bench currently outscoring my starting 11.

I think the money men sometimes forget that players and people and not machines.

Performance etc drops off when a player is pissed off (broken promises at spurs) and mind is checked out

I said this as soon as it was announced he was staying it was the wrong call by Levy. Most on here accused me of being biased.

He's past his peak and will only reduce in value now, nevermind his motivation clearly being hit now.

Levy should have taken the money and ran. Never get such a good deal again.

Early to look at this, but price changes a factor.

    Sanchez
    TAA / Cancelo / Chilwell
    Salah / Jota / Raphinha / Mbeumo
    Vardy / Antonio / Toney

    Steele // White / Livramento / Bissouma

    A) Raphinha/White > Foden/R. James
    B) Raphinha/Bissouma > Foden/ESR
    C) Jota/White > Foden/R. James
    D) Raphinha > Foden (Roll 1 FT)
    E) Jota > Foden (Roll 1 FT)
    F) Other?

I wasn't even looking at James before today, and White hasn't necessarily done much wrong either - but his potential is ridiculous. Fixtures are BUR, LEI, MUN etc so mixed.

Although Jota is annoying, he's still a good option IMO. Firmino was quite poor again today.

I feel torn as a Utd fan. Obviously I want us to win, I loved the Ronnie goal and it’s nice to see us playing better than Spurs.

But, on the other hand, is this the direction we are headed?
5 DFers on the pitch, McFred ‘running’ the MF? No room for our Academy players Rash & Greenwood? Our 70 million signing warming the bench?

A part of me wanted Spurs to give us a pasting and force the boards hand to put Ole out of his moseryv
