Norwich City v Manchester United brings Saturday’s Premier League action to a close, with kick-off at Carrow Road at 17:30 GMT.

The team news is nice and simple for the visitors as Ralf Rangnick names an unchanged team from last weekend’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Cristiano Ronaldo was transferred in by just under 450,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers ahead of Friday’s deadline and is the second most-captained player of Gameweek 16.

Diogo Dalot and David de Gea also featured in the top 10 most transferred-in players of this current Gameweek.

Dean Smith has made five changes from Sunday’s defeat at Spurs, with Lukas Rupp, Dimitris Giannoulis, Ozan Kabak, Przemyslaw Placheta and Josh Sargent coming into the side.

Budget FPL defender Brandon Williams misses out as he is ineligible to face his parent club, while Ben Gibson, Pierre Lees-Melou, Adam Idah and Andrew Omobamidele also drop out of the side.

Dean Smith reported injury and illness issues concerning four unnamed players in his pre-match presser, and Gibson and Omobamidele are indeed not part of the matchday squad.

GAMEWEEK 16 LINE-UPS

Norwich City XI: Krul, Aarons, Hanley, Kabak, Giannoulis Rupp, Gilmour, Placheta, McLean, Sargent, Pukki.

Subs: Gunn, Byram, Dowell, Cantwell, Sorensen, Lees-Melou, Mumba, Idah, Tomkinson.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Sancho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rashford.

Subs: Heaton, Henderson, Bailly, Jones, Greenwood, Lingard, Shaw, Van de Beek, Elanga

What to do with raphina? Thinking straight swapping for Bowen over these difficult fixtures. What are other raphina holders doing?

Totally have no idea who should replace Vardy in my team for next GW. Just go with CR7?
Wanted Watkins but probably bad pick and Norwich looking better recently.
Antonio? But not sure there is a point bringing him for Arsenal fixtures.
Doubling up on Wat also seems dodgy.

Yes, the BAPS is derived from Opta and yada yada. But Salah winning the pen and scoring it, which turned out to be the match winner, and yet not even 1 bonus point? I'll call it for what it is.... proper BS.

If it was 2-1, your comment about winning goal would have more merit. The clean sheet is what defenders get bonus for.

    Mates, anyone watched Arsenal today?
How was Saka looking today, mates?
Was he again looking too wide like against Everton or he had some chances?

I have the feeling that whoever plays in the 10 role - ESR or Odeegard, have better chances of goals. Discuss

I was 50/50 on whether to sell one of both of them for hit's as I was dead set on Sanchez to DDG, so put it to the vote on here and all but one person advised me to play Liv Sissoko, as I was unsure so I went with the majority. I've tried being aggressive and taking multiple hits before and it's always failed. I wasn't comfortable with a -12.

I was there. Saka looked good; nice combination on the right with Tomiyasu. Odeegard also looked lively. I agree he or ESR will probably have better chances. The biggest issue now is how to sort out the striker.

Thanks for the insights, mate. I watched him vs Everton. He looked too wide for my liking. Always felt that the number 10 will have the better chances.

Why are you hesitant? Because of his performance? He gets goals regardless of how bad he plays all the time. He's even getting 3 bonus points for this week, which is ridiculous since Salah didn't get any.

Good point. Plus, if he'd got a hattrick or brace I'd be ruing not pulling the trigger earlier.

More the team performance putting me off in all honesty, but the fixtures couldn't be better for the next few weeks.

  15. Sgt Frank Drebin

Green arrow despite the worst case scenario of Dennis, Silva and Ronaldo all getting points. I'll take that but there was a potential for a really massive GW. Maybe next time.

  16. MountainBeach
    • 14 Years

So I did Kane to Lukaku for this GW, as I couldn't afford Ronaldo. Lukaku at home to Leeds didn't seem like an awful pick, but then he comes on and plays 3 mins..sigh. What should I do now? Get in Ronaldo by making funds and taking a hit or keeping Lukaku who's got Everton at home I think. Good fixture, but means nothing if he doesn't start..again.

    Thoughts, lads?

I have benched Dennis every week and it has backfired. My bad that I didn't start him over Jota. On the other hand this is with hindsight. You can have him as bench cover if needed and to gain some tv perhaps. Yet, I might wanna sell Raph or Gallagher first. But might start Dalot over them.

            Livra >> Dalot GW17
Raph / Gallagher (depending on performance) >> Bowen GW18

Could be a way to go

Thoughts on Rashford? Didn't catch anything after 20 minutes

Came into the game more once Sancho was off - though not sure if that was why.

When it was super tight he was pretty ineffective.

Same for Sancho, Ronaldo, Bruno too - they all pretty much sucked.

Don't think he deserved the scorn that the commentators here were giving him.

Looked very poor. Needs minutes by the looks of things, off the boil.

This^ He was rusty, but flashed once or twice. He will improve with game time, but how fast is the question.

i dunno - i'm pretty firm on selling him myself.
just think Ralf has to try some stuff - and this combo was clearly not the right answer.

will give it a couple of days - but he's highly likely on the way out for me.

    Tough week

    OR 780 ➡ 1492

54 points and safety score is 61. Only a Wilson brace can save my week.
