Crystal Palace take on Everton in the final Premier League match of Gameweek 16, with kick-off at Selhurst Park at 16:30 GMT.

Patrick Vieira makes three changes from the Gameweek 15 defeat at Manchester United, with Joel Ward, Will Hughes and Odsonne Edouard coming in for Nathaniel Clyne, Jeffrey Schlupp and Christian Benteke, all of whom drop to the bench.

That means influential defender Joachim Andersen remains out, despite returning to training last week.

As for Everton, Rafa Benitez also shuffles his pack. In come Mason Holgate, Fabian Delph and Andre Gomes, with Yerry Mina and Allan missing out completely, while Anthony Gordon is a substitute.

Lucas Digne, meanwhile, is once again absent from the matchday squad.

GAMEWEEK 16 LINE-UPS

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Tomkins, Guehi, Mitchell, Kouyate, Hughes, Gallagher, Ayew, Zaha, Edouard

Subs: Butland, Olise, Eze, Mateta, Schlupp, Clyne, Benteke, Kelly, Riedewald

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey, Doucoure, Delph, Gomes, Townsend, Gray, Richarlison

Subs: Begovic, Kenny, Iwobi, Gordon, Gbamin, Branthwaite, Rondon, Simms, Onyango

Really want to do Vardy to Ronaldo tonight but this potential Covid outbreak is really annoying. Suppose the sensible thing to do it take the price changes tonight on the chin 🙁

I’ve already ridden one Ronaldo price rise-as a fellow Vardy owner I think I’m going to do it.

Hit everyone, in need of some help, It's been a bad week for points!

    1FT and 0.0itb

    Sanchez - Foster*
    Taa - James - Alonso - Cancelo* - Livra
    Salah - Son* - Jota - Gundo* - ESR
    Antonio - Dennis - Benteke

Original plan was Antonio + Son > Ronaldo + 5.5 (odegaard?), but now am thinking Son/Gundo to Gallagher then reassess at the end of the gw.

    Thoughts?

I really have nothing to gain by lying to you. Ronaldo takes up a disproportionate amount of my already pretty bare team and I honestly don't see him returning more than 9 - at best 13 - points in any given week and he's always going to be a rotation risk under Rangnick because he can't run a high press every week without eventually dropping dead, even in spite of his fitness level. Dropping him in favor of Vardy frees up considerable funds I can use elsewhere.

Do people still genuinely think Antonio will start returning again when these fixtures really turn?

    1. BeWater
      • 5 Years
      4 years, 4 months ago

Looking at his performance today probably not. When you think Bernardo and Foden are around the same price I know who I'd rather have moving forward.

    2. el polako
      • 8 Years
      4 years, 4 months ago

Reason why so many are still holding onto Antonio is that simply there isn't many forwards that are actually returning.

Personally I've been playing 442 for a while now and it work a treat. Antonio is still one of my forwards and I still belive and can't see any obvious replacements.

4-5-1 or 3-5-2 is the way to forward imo

Looks like it, plus with covid, injuries and cards it's all fluid now anyway.

One thing for sure no point investing heavy in forward line.

Your of course right about the lack of alternatives as to why we still have him. I'm tempted by Watkins but it's a gamble and be pretty gutted If after all this fixtures to change Antonio's output

He’s playing way wide, facilitating play for others, his assist was the outlier, can’t score many points out there

No players playing today so just tuned into the results. I had worked out last night that Antonio and Vardy were the biggest dangers to my rank so I was somewhat annoyed and confused to see that despite them only getting 2pts between them, my rank has still dropped 40k places. I had forgot about frikkin Connor Gallagher! FFS. So annoying! Especially as I have just seen he scored his 2nd in the 4th minute of injury time.

The only difference between my team and my main ML rival were:

      Me: Gundogan, James, Bowen

      Him: Gallagher, Rudiger, Alonso

Hard to believe I could lose so much ground.

I have 4.9 to buy a defender for the next 2-3 weeks before I use the 1st WC. I don't have Ramsdale or DDG.

    a) Dalot (bre/BHA/new). Might give me cash to do Gallagher --> Bowen next GW if Gallagher rises this week
    b) White (WHU/lee/nor). Definitely gives cash for Gallagher --> Bowen next GW
    c) Tomiyasu/Tierney (WHU/lee/nor). Makes me stuck in terms of really any potential other transfers next week. If one of these guys, which?

Going to be a lot of Covid scares between now and Feb! Going for 15 strong names if I can.

    Sissoko ->
    A) Bowen. Decent fix but already got Antonio and don’t want too many double ups given potential cancellations

    B) Maddison. Grim fixtures, but would be only Leics player and he’s in nuts form. Obvs would have to wait to hear on Tott game…

Is top10k still the target rank for most people on here?

Surely anywhere in the top 50k is a solid rank nowadays

Yes and yes it is, but it's still just doesn't feel good enough

      sure why not.
i just want to get better week by week i think.

winning MLs probably means somewhere near the top 10k

I agree, though for some reason a narrative has long been in place on here that if you don’t finish in the top 10k, it’s nothing to shout about.

The game is so much harder these days. And making meaningful decisions are becoming less and less, with content creator spoon feeding. Plus Salah has ruined the captaincy for half of this season.

It’s the target. But realistically, if you get in the top 100k then you’ve had a good season.
So many more players, so much more interest as well as a plethora of YT ‘experts’, articles, podcasts etc…
Being a good FPL player is only half the battle, you need a load of good fortune as well to get near the top 10k

I think that everything below top 100k is a failure. I had very bad season last year, but managed to get there. Poor start also this season thx to two big mistakes (Barnes + Harrison), but there is time to catch up.

Yes, around 200k atm, but that's the target. Far away from impossible.

In the last two seasons I was around 150k at Xmas. I finished at 12k and 19k (and made a few dodgy calls near the end which cost me top 10k twice).

It is definitely not impossible from your rank.

      Depends where you start tbh

I just got within 1m finally, I’ll take anything inside my personal worst at this point.

If I was Andy, top 10k would be the only acceptable result.
