Palace v Everton team news: Benteke benched, Allan and Digne miss out

Crystal Palace take on Everton in the final Premier League match of Gameweek 16, with kick-off at Selhurst Park at 16:30 GMT.

Patrick Vieira makes three changes from the Gameweek 15 defeat at Manchester United, with Joel Ward, Will Hughes and Odsonne Edouard coming in for Nathaniel Clyne, Jeffrey Schlupp and Christian Benteke, all of whom drop to the bench.

That means influential defender Joachim Andersen remains out, despite returning to training last week.

As for Everton, Rafa Benitez also shuffles his pack. In come Mason Holgate, Fabian Delph and Andre Gomes, with Yerry Mina and Allan missing out completely, while Anthony Gordon is a substitute.

Lucas Digne, meanwhile, is once again absent from the matchday squad.

      Honestly considered it for a minute, but think it's best to wait. I don't think he'll get a rest but he might get taken off early if the game is done

    Took -8 this week to do:

    Toney to King
    Cornet to Bowen
    Kane to Ronaldo

    First two were planned, last one wasn't but decided it was worthwhile getting done with now rather than next week. In the end I benched Rudiger (no, not the first time for a haul, I benched him for his big haul v Leicester as well), and had Allan and Livramento also on my bench, as well as having no playing keeper with the Brighton keepers.

    In the end I ended up technically 4pts worse off but have 3 problem players dealt with and can hopefully roll a transfer this week. I feel happy enough with that.

        Sounds like first MU team is fine, but still always a chance that the game gets postponed anyway. Will see how things go. Might have to rely on the bench anyway with how much this looks to be spreading

      Whole #mufc group who travelled to Norwich initially tested negative for Covid. Since then, a small number of players and staff have returned positive lateral flow tests and were sent home before training today. Others trained outdoors and training was adjusted.

          vaccines are useless to stop the spread, the only hope is that Covid mutates into a mild cold, early reports are that's what Omnicron is like, if that turns out to be the case then they should just lift every restriction and let everybody catch it
