As part of the Meet the Manager series, Joe catches up Fantasy Football Scout regular poster and four-time top 10k finisher Camzy ahead of Double Gameweek 26.

Camzy started playing Fantasy Premier League (FPL) back in 2006, when he was just a teenager. Within three years he had finished in the top 100 and three more strong finishes within the top 10,000 followed.

But then life got in the way and FPL took a back seat. Rather than play half-heartedly, he took a break for three seasons from 2014.

While he was away from the game, FPL changed markedly. Chips were introduced and the number of managers increased rapidly.

In addition, the level of information available to managers grew, with social media creating further communities to discuss the game. This has seen an ever-increasing number of managers becoming aware of the intricacies of strong management – from following underlying statistics to keeping up to date with fixture rescheduling.

Then in recent years, there’s been Covid to deal with as well, with match postponements to tackle.

It was a different FPL world he had returned to 2018/19. But while the last three seasons have had a mixture of strong and less successful finishes, he has enjoyed being back and having FPL in his life once again.

This excellent career record and break from FPL gives him a unique insight into how the game has changed and the evolving strategy needed to battle against millions of clued-up managers each season.

He reveals the key aspects of his successful seasons that continue to help him and how he has swiftly adapted his strategy around chips.

With a Double Gameweek coming up, this week is a perfect time to put his planning to the test as he outlines the transfers he is keen to make and how he hopes to deploy his chips for the season run-in.

This episode also marks a reunion for Camzy and Joe, who were Fantasy Football Scout community teammates for a Euros tournament a decade ago.

Hey, all. People who watched the match last night: how did Salah look? AFCON and season in general catching up with him?

Didn’t look great to be honest but neither did Liverpool til the last 15 mins.

Won’t stop me TCing him mind. One of the best FPL options of all time with two home fixtures against two of the worst defences. No need to overthink it unless you have a very decent bench this week.

I'm planning to FH next week as I expect to have 3 Liverpool and 3 arsenal. Only problem is that I've got some dead wood I need to shift soon:
    - Reguilon
    - Jota
    - Antonio
    - Dennis (might as well keep for the double)
    - Bruno (want to keep for leeds and sell for 28)

Thinking it could makes sense to do 2 transfers (-4) this week so I'm in better shape for GW28. Jota and Reguilon to Robertson and Saka is tempting. Would leave:

    Ramsdale, Foster
    TAA, Robertson, Tierney, Cancelo, Livra
    Salah, Saka, Bruno, Bowen, Gallagher
    Antonio, Dennis, Broja

    Other options are:
    - save transfer and use 2 for 27 and no FH
    - forget about mess after FH and just do Gallagher to Saka because it looks good for this week

    Interested in opinions

How many FH do you have? I am going for FH in GW26 (have 2) as currently I only have 3 DGW players and would need to transfer in Salah.

Of your options save FT and no FH in 27. Might as well save it for when you really need it.

Thanks for the response. I still have both free hits, TC, WC and BB so thinking it's about time to use some chips! Will be placing TC on Salah this week so definitely not FH this week

Think the Robertson transfer is better than the Saka transfer if only doing one.

Both good transfers for a -4

    Anything worth a hit?
Jota > Saka -4? or save?

    Ramsdale*
    TAA*-Cancelo-White*-Reguilon*
    Salah* (TC)-Bowen-Coutinho
    Kane*-King*-Antonio

    Guaita*-Jota*-Webster-Allan

Wolves and Brentford I can see him maybe getting 3 points v wolves cos I think it’ll be 0-0 but I think he’ll return a goal against Brentford so I’m predicting 10 -12 points over 2 games

Tough choice, both are looking like bad picks (from a reguilon and Dennis owner!). Currently I've got Dennis in my starting XI and Reg 2nd on bench behind Broja if that helps

Why is everyone saying Arsenal have an easy DGW? Wolves is not an easy fixture for anyone. Brentford is ok but no picnic either, they were very stubborn against city a few weeks back, GK error gifted KDB goal.

Depends if going for forwards or defenders. IMO Arsenal have the best chance of 2 CS of any of the teams this GW. If Jota injured I'm considering a hit to add Gabriel to Tierney rather than play Antonio.

They have a great double from a defensive perspective. Could easily get 2 clean sheets.

Depends on your plan for 27. Will buying saka mean you need to take a hit next week? If so then no I wouldn't do the transfer this week for a hit unless I wanted saka for the rest of the season (or until WC)

    Morning all

I have hardly any DGW players for 26 so thinking of hitting the FH (have all chips). That means missing out on the TC chip but I can survive GW27 with 1 FT and/or a hit

    DDG, Steer
    TAA, Dias, Digne, Livra, Dalot
    Bruno, KDB, Bowen, Jota, Foden
    Antonio, Dennis, Broja

FH26 or take a -4/-8 to bring Salah etc in and TC him??

If Jota misses the double (will we even know before deadline)

Not sure when the presser is - doesn't seem to be a HT with today's times.

Is the following worth a -8?

Jota Gray Dawson CR7 - OUT
Salah Saka White Jimenez - IN

    Gives the below for DGW26
    Foster* (DDG)
    Cancelo TAA* White* (Livra Williams)
    Salah* Saka* Bruno Bowen Foden
    Antonio Jimenez* (King*)

Anyone considering Sa instead of Ramsdale if you're not FH in 27?

He would be the pick if not FH27 as he plays in 27 and 30

I'm very happy with Sa as my keeper for the rest of the season. More outfield options at Arsenal

Still favour TC but this is one of the strongest BBs I've seen (if you got a 2nd playing GK)

    Ramsdale
    Cancelo - TAA - Tomiyasu
Salah (TC) - Jota - Fernandes - Bowen - Ramsey
    Watkins - Broja

    DdG - King - Digne - Dias
    1 FT, 0 ITB

Option 1: Fernandes + Watkins > JWP + Kane (This will be a -4 and needs Jota to be fit)
Option 2: Tomiyasu + Jota + Watkins > Robertson + Saka + Weghourst (This will be a -8 and need Jota ruled out and Weghourst declared fit)

First on bench given Jota's potential injury:

    A) King
    B) Shaw

Would you BB this lot or just TC Salah?

    Sa / Pope
    Tierney / Robertson / TAA / Gabriel / Digne
    Ramsey / Coutinho / KDB / Raph / Salah
    Edouard / King / Dennis

If 100mph hits us even if over by the time of the games there might be enough damage to stop travel!

Won't matter if it screws up the rail/road network, or damages a stadium 😉

Am I good to go -4?
I’m worried that others have 8-11 DGW players! I have 7

      Foster**
      Cancelo - Alexander-Arnold** - Laporte
      Jota** - Salah**(TC)- Bowen - Saka**
      Dennis** - Kane** - Maupay

      DDG - Coufal - Livramento - Brownhill**

Nothing to worry about there imo. Think Coufal - Arsenal defender should pay off though (& bench Maupay)

      Who scores more this DGW...

      Dennis - Jiminez - Edouard

Dennis was very lively in that last game and Roy has to start picking up point. He is starting in my team this weekend.

        If he starts, Edouard.
The other teams struggle to score, especially Watford.

I'd get Jimi, safer. Also on pens.
