Gameweek 31 concludes at Turf Moor this evening, as Burnley face Everton in a proverbial ‘six-pointer’ at the bottom of the Premier League.

The two sides are 19th and 17th respectively in the English top flight, with four points separating them. The pressure might actually be more on Everton here because, as we discussed in this afternoon’s Frisking the Fixtures, their run-in looks quite a bit trickier than that of Burnley’s.

Kick-off in Lancashire tonight is at 7.30pm BST.

This match would ordinarily be a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) footnote but the Clarets and the Toffees were the only two teams to ‘double’ in Gameweek 31, so there is a bit of heightened interest.

Wout Weghorst is owned by over half of the top 10,000 FPL managers, for instance, while Anthony Gordon has a double-digit ownership among this elite group and Nick Pope is not far off the 10% mark.

After a surprise benching at West Ham United, Gordon returns to Frank Lampard’s starting XI tonight.

He is one of two changes to the visitors’ line-up, replacing the benched Demarai Gray. Jarrad Branthwaite deputises for the suspended Michael Keane at centre-half, meanwhile.

As for Burnley, Sean Dyche makes three alterations to the side which lost to Manchester City on Saturday.

Nathan Collins – now free of suspension – comes in for Kevin Long at the back, while Jay Rodriguez and Maxwel Cornet replace Jack Cork and Dwight McNeil as their manager moves back to a more attacking 4-4-2.

GAMEWEEK 31 LINE-UPS

Burnley XI: Pope, Roberts, Collins, Tarkowski, Taylor, Lennon, Westwood, Cornet, Brownhill, Rodriguez, Weghorst.

Subs: Lowton, Cork, Barnes, McNeil, Hennessey, Stephens, Vydra, Long, Thomas.

Everton XI: Pickford, Kenny, Branthwaite Godfrey, Mykolenko, Doucoure, Holgate, Iwobi, Gordon, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.

Subs: Delph, Gray, Begovic, Coleman, Rondon, El Ghazi, Alli, Price, Welch.

Ole won back to back titles in his first two seasons with Molde - the club had never won a title before in its history. 2nd with that awful United team was impressive too.

      There's a manager in there.

Need to burn a ft as FH gw33. Which move?

    A) Ait Nouri > Schar
    B) Broja > Cucho/Mateta
    C) Toney > Cucho/Mateta

Why would you sell Toney? Great fixture this week. West Ham don't care about the league.

I'm seriously considering Salah > Fernandes. Everton's defense is shocking.

Yep it’s the least favoured of those options. The funds could come in handy though.
I’m not sold on the Bruno move after the last dgw and avoiding United I think.

I think Lampard is getting a stick too much to be honest. Don't think he's a great manager, but he's been there for only couple of weeks and the team is kinda awful too. Disastrous transfer policy is to blame for the current state of things more than anything imho. Can't think of a team in PL making worse transfers. Even Stoke at a time had better signings.

Koeman is such a bad manager to be honest. Wherever he goes he later leaves the team at an awful position with players not suited to the modern football at all. Not a big fan slightly speaking.

Lamps way outta his depth here. First time in a while I’ve watched Everton and were all over the place tonight, Holg8 at CM doesn’t work, Iwobi at CAM again totally doesn’t work, then DCL seemed to be playing as an RF, hardly ever getting between their CB’s! Poor organisation and zero confidence instilled in them, leading to those defensive flaps that’ll get them the relegation they deserve.

They look completely disjointed. I actually thought at the minimum Lampard would put a bit of fire in the bellies and get them attacking well but they're just all over the place

Lamps is just depressed, looks like he regrets joining and can’t wait to get out. Was moody and downbeat pre-match and then threw a strop when Cornet scored, useless!

Benzema has always been a top class striker who’s known for good finishing and the most complete number 9 I’ve ever seen. This last decade he was in CR7’s shadows and once he left it was time for Big Benz to be the star and get the recognition he deserves. He’s def been in form of his life now.

Chelsea needs a CB don't they. It's beyond me how Benzema can have so much space in the penalty area. At least 10m radius with empty space for the first goal. Thiago Silva + Christensen + Azpi in defence is just waiting for trouble. Kovacic needs to play more to balance the team too. Havertz is very good though, if Chelsea drops out of CL I'm getting him in (stating the obvious...).

Benzema is a world class striker who’s known for finding spaces against meanest if defenses to make the play/score goals. You think average defenders such as Christensen, old Thiago and Azpi can stop big Benz from finding space? No way!

    alright - terrible gameweek. 103k > 152k.

    next week for fun.
    only 1x FH left.

    Sa
    TAA, Robbo, James, Alonso
    Salah, Martinelli, Saka, Kulusevski, Sancho
    Kane

    Foster, Tierney, Broja, Greenwood.
    1ft, 0.4itb

    a/ Alonso & Tierney > Cancelo & 3.9 (-4)
    b/ Alonso & Tierney > Laporte & Doherty/Schar (-4)
    c/ Tierney > Castagne

Basically need to fix those 2 defensive slots - deciding whether to get 2 decent, 1 decent and 1 playing, or Cancelo and a dud.
Don't need a bench but worried about rotation, injuries etc.
