Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout can now get their own complimentary Transfer Planner to help with their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) preparations for the 2022/23.

Rob and James, the brains behind the Championship Manager FPL game, have relaunched their Transfer Planner for the new season, exclusively for Fantasy Football Scout subscribers.

The planner allows you to enter your FPL team as it currently is and then to set to work on what you would like it to become over the next few weeks, taking account of transfers, captaincies, chips and formation preferences.

The road ahead is kept up to date for you via a link to the Fantasy Football Scout Season Ticker and, if you think we’ve been a little too harsh on the Wolves attack or not given the Southampton defence enough credit, you can tweak the ratings to your satisfaction.

HOW TO USE IT

Get your FPL Transfer Planner for 2022/23 1

To get started, you fill in your player selections in the dropdown at the top of each player box on the Planner tab. Typing in the first few letters of a player name, or even “4.5” or “MUN” brings up a relevant shortlist to choose from.

Those same dropdown boxes are used to select your potential transfer targets in the columns for coming Gameweeks and your proposed starting XIs are indicated by tick boxes. Your transfer plans will be neatly summarised via In and Out sections at the foot of each Gameweek column.

If you want to narrow your focus to the next couple of unusual Gameweeks or jump ahead to consider the consequences of a hit there are “+” and “-” options for hiding and re-showing columns at the top of the Planner and Fixture Ticker tabs.

If your chosen FPL device doesn’t have an attached keyboard then downloading Google’s “Sheets” tab provides full functionality for mobiles and tablets.

HOW TO GET ONE

You’ll need to be an FFS Member to request your Transfer Planner. A link to the request form is available at the left-hand side of the Premium Members Area. Fill that out and your sheet will be on its way, though please be patient during this initial release as each one must currently be despatched manually.

Once your Transfer Planner arrives, it may take 20-30 seconds to load when you first use it. The Transfer Planner needs an internet connection to stay active and may sometimes need to be refreshed to re-establish the link.

He’s the highest owned player in the game isn’t he?

The majority here that state they won’t have him will ultimately cave due to the fear of going against the grain & being left behind anyway.

You get to a point every pre season where people get bored of the obvious picks and try to be different for the sake of it.

For the most part I do but he was straight in for me. A good 1m undervalued if he meets the potential.

I agree that he's a good choice. So is Salah though, and don't have him. You can't have every good player.

True but you can definitely have Jesus and Salah if you want both without it negatively impacting the team

I don't have Salah because I prefer Trent and Diaz, not because I have Jesus.

Ah sorry misread what you’d put. I’ve gone for the Trent, Salah, Diaz triple myself.

No Salah is obviously a choice that can upgrade the rest of your team but I don’t see it working out personally.

Yeah, I mean I'm not saying I won't have cold feet but you can't have them all and I'm happy having the team that I do. Worst case scenario and Haaland or Kane end up a bust while Jesus soars, it's a simple move. Other way around won't be so simple

Yeah always better to start high and downgrade but personally, I see Jesus as a choice between an additional 8m mid or him as striker. In my team I like the balance as he can become anyone priced below him if needed. Also, 4.5 strikers aren’t going to be playing and I like my bench fodder to have a chance of game time at least.

ESR , Ben White, Tomiyasu and Tierney all did not take part in Arsenal's game against Everton.
Arteta noted that they all have minor injuries.

One to keep an eye on if you plan on owning Ben White, Tomi ect. Also makes Martinelli slightly more nailed.

Keeping an eye on it for sure, I know Arteta said it's a matter if days for them but we've had that before with Tomiyasu and it ends up a lot longer. May end up going with Fofana

They missed him so much last season and he's their best CB imo so I think he has to be nailed. Made his return with a few games to spare last season

Mount is a troll. Gets a 20-pointer so you bring him in and he blanks for 8 games straight. Very streaky, a bit like JWP.

I think they'd both be set and forget picks for me, barring injury/a rival on a streak. Can't bank on when they're gonna do well, but think they return very well over the course of a season. I had JWP in but then his slot went to Bruno G at 0.5 cheaper.

Haha same. It's difficult to have patience with a player costing £8m+. Even more this season where people will have one - maybe two - which means two to three other options that could be doing better! JWP at his price is easier to set and forget.

What's your current midfield draft looking like?

Hey, all. Thoughts on the below?

Going without Salah would allow me to invest a bit more £ elsewhere: e.g. contemplating replacing him with KDB and Laporte --> Cancelo. I think I'm gonna flip between those four £8m mids until deadline.

    Meslier
    Chilwell | Laporte | Tomi | Robbo
    Brunog | Son | Salah | Dasilva | Saka/Maddison/Mount/Diaz
    Haaland

    (Klaessen, Taylor, Neco, Greenwood)

        Thanks 🙂

Bench is terrible/close to non-existent; and I've "compromised" on a couple of the defenders (Laporte not Cancelo and Robbo not TAA, though that latter one is less of a downgrade).

Another draft has Jesus over the £8m mid.

Looks solid. Are you set on 3 premiums or just experimenting still? Can definitely work with the pricing this year, and quite a few posters who I respect are going for it. But for me, the Son/Håland captaincy rotation is so good that I don't really see the need for a 3rd.

Clearly, you've clocked onto the abundance of great 8m mid options. Personally I want 2 of these, 1 for Diaz & 1 to play the fixtures.

Not sure about Meslier yet but he made some excellent saves yesterday. I'm watching all the Leeds friendlies & posting reports here so can let you know how much I trust our defence after a couple more games.

        Thanks 🙂

It's less I'm set on having three premiums as an approach; more I want those three specific players, and they happen to be in the premium bracket! I think Haaland is absolutely going to explode first few games; City look incredibly strong on paper (so much so that I'm trying to make a draft that has Haaland and KDB). I think Son is a season-keeper. And I'm too afraid to not own Mo (plus, obviously, he's quite good...)!

Yes, I've also got a draft that has a couple of £8m mids. I'd like to pick Maddison, but can't quite bring myself to - probably top 6 snobbery! That draft looks like this:

        Meslier
        Chilwell | Laporte | Tomi | Robbo
        Brunog | Son | Mount | Diaz
        Haaland | Jesus

        (Klaessen, Taylor, Neco, Andreas)

Thanks re: Meslier info 🙂 I'm on him at the moment 'cos I don't like BHA/BRE's opening fixtures; and I think there's some talk that Raya might have a bit of competition now?

How're your drafts going? Fairly settled on structure/core players?

Nope! Trying not to get too attached to any particular draft just yet, more like trying out different combinations to see what fits together. This is my latest iteration though:
          5
          TAA Cancelo Robertson Trippier
          Son Diaz Maddison Martinelli Aaronson
          Håland
          (Tomiyasu, 4.5, 4.5)

I'm really struggling with the GK spot tbh. I think Pope will do well but slightly prefer Trippier with set pieces & all. Double Newcastle defence still looks a bit odd...
I think Strakosha is supposed to be backup to Raya but not 100%.

I think you're right re: Pope vs Trippier.

I see you're avoiding Che defence (in that draft at least) - not worth the risk? In terms of rotation but also instability given departures.

Rest of it looks really strong. You're a big Maddison advocate, aren't you?

I'm quite wary of Chelsea defence yeah. Massive overhaul of CBs, and they were already struggling towards the end of last year with their CM pairing. Plus there's talk of a shift to 4 at the back. And fixtures like Leicester/Leeds might be good in an attacking sense but I can definitely see them conceding. I haven't totally ruled out James/Chilwell (in Robertson spot) but maybe prefer a wait & see.

Maddison is my lucky charm, averaging something insane like 15pts/GW for me last year 🙂

I’d have a fairly big wager with you that he starts most Prem games for us, we’ve been waiting to sign a striker for around 5 years. We don’t go and spend £30mill to bench one, especially when the only recognised striker is 33 years old this year & we play twice a week all season long with Europe.

Two questions for you to ponder

Does Neto outscore a 5m defender? E.g Cash, Doherty, Gabriel with .5m leftover

Does Bruno G outscore a 6.0m defender? E.g Laporte, Dias etc

If the answer is no on either of these questions it requires a reshuffle & Nico swapped out in my opinion. You only need one of those mid priced midfielder spots for flexibility, two of them is losing points in the long run. Just my take…

    BrunoG Diaz Rashford (2 x 4.5)

Defensive double ups are always stressful for me!

I think the midfield could do with some boosting, otherwise it looks good. Downgrade Kane and upgrade Rashford to Son? Any reason you went big three at the top?

I'd lean towards Son and the 4-4-2. There seem to be more options in midfield this year and 4-4-2 should allow you to pivot to those easier?

    Hi folks.

Been a minute since popping on here. Hi to all the OGs here, and to all. Since I dont visit too often, got a few to cover, so sorry to the TLDR crowd in advance.

Right, so Zinchenko heading out, at the moment, Cancelo and Walker are the only FBs. The idea is to get Cucurella in, and maybe he eventually does, but seems to me with every day that passes, Walker seems pretty cemented for the opening weeks. A 5m ticket to cover MCI CS's seems awfully appealling if looking to avoid Cancelo price.

Malacia. Anyone daring my idea of backing Malacia. ten Hag's first signing, Dutch LB/LWB of choice...if the new boss is needing to change the culture of a floundering United side, methinks Malacia goes right in ahead of Shaw. Been looking at his fixtures and the ones I would want to play him, and they happen to be weeks where Andreas has some that could fetch points, GWs 3 and 5, Andreas home to BRE and BHA. Malacia with BHA, bre, sou GWs 1,2 and 4. Not bad for an 11th man.

Finally, GK. I think Meslier is being slept on. I know it sounds nuts. 1) Leeds defense cant possibly be worse than last season's. 2) He has had a penchant for save pts in his career. 3) Still young, room to improve and, with Raphinha gone, an argument could be made he's the most valuable asset they have. 4) in the first 7 GWs, Leeds play only one side that finished top EIGHT last season. If nothing else, a differential at a position and price point I can dig.

Right, so here's the current side. Thougts appreciated. Thanks for attending my TED talk. 🙂

    Meslier (Klaessen)
    Alexander-Arnold, James, Walker, Tomiyasu, Malacia
    Salah, Sterling, Diaz
    Kane, Jesus
    (Andreas, Dasilva, Greenwood)

*added note, feeling strong with this side in terms of not feeling to kneejerk if all doesnt go perfectly, so Kane-> with 1st FT for GW2 is pretty much a lock, in case Haaland goes off GW1, but rather go with Mr. established first.

im ok with Walker/Haaland for coverage, given the history of in-and-out of the 11 the Mahrez's and Foden's of the world can do to you. Since my bench is ultra cheap, Im trying to with players a bit more nailed for the opening weeks.

      Nice team. A few points from me;

      - Cancelo - that's an interesting one. He's not delivered the haul he did last year in any of his previous seasons so probably a good place to cut. Whether it's all the way down to Walker I'm not sure but as an early season punt it's probably safe. Dias would probably be my long term hold but it's a guessing game and your guess is as good as any other

      - Re. Malacia, I've watched all of United's preseason so far, if you want to punt on a 4.5 then I'd go with Dalot early on, we've got a fair amount of competition at LB and Malacia hasn't been in the "first team out" in any of the games yet, that could change and there are a lot of pre-season games left though. Dalot has been out first and AWB doesn't look like he'll scratch the surface.

      - Also think Tomiyasu might be injured as he's not appeared for Arsenal so far, I'm going to chat to some Arsenal mates on their view but Cedric might be the go-to 4.5 for them

      1. @FuzzyWarbles
        • 15 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

Thanks for the insight, Brains. If Tomi is out, I may be tempted by a 4.5 Wolves option, they seem the next best lot to get early CS's from. Ait Nouri or Jonny would be nice if either can appear to look nailed come GW1. Oh, I want that "sexy" pick in Malacia, but you may be right in the end on Dalot. My hunch is though Malacia is getting prepped for the gig. Let's see how United look down under the next week and change.

Nice team & reasoning behind it is sound.

Ironic that the most overlooked diamond is one the OP mentioned right at the start of his post. Let me be the first: it's Zinchenko. An OOP in midfield, you'll get Gabriel or Tierney's clean sheet points, but with potential assists in his locker.

Been thinking about the Neto herd instinct and not sure. I'm also suspecting that Eriksen, who is being gushed over by Hang Ten, will provide very good value, so I have an option B which I really like. It means getting shot of TAA, but only for Robertson. Also thinking Sinisterra will flourish at Leeds with Raphina gone.

    Thoughts? Changes in capitals.

    A.

    Sanchez
    Cancelo TRENT MINGS
    Salah Sinisterra NETO MOUNT
    Jesus Haaland Wilson

Really hard to pick, IMO. I like all of these:

Tomiyasu, White, Mykolenko, Dunk, Botman, Jonny, Castagne(or whichever LEI fullback looks like starting)

      I think so
16m for a club like fulham is a lot of money

    Any help here guys?

    A. Sterling and Odegaard/JWP
    B. KDB and Andreas

I have Haaland already but like the idea of the double up with KDB.

But also Sterling starting with Chelsea is incredibly tempting

Bruno G is the kind of casual pick that'll score a goal on the first week then everyone will pile in and he won't score again for 2 months.

    I will not get him.

But if you don't get him then he carries on scoring, and only stops when you get him

Anyone considering any Man Utd assets?

Rashford and Sancho are the only ones I'm interested in at the moment

I like Sancho at 7.5m, should be nailed on the right. a chance he performs like a 9-10m asset.
