There was a green arrow after Gianni’s XI scored 56 points, aided by a successful four-point hit that brought in Ivan Toney (£7.2m) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.2m) for Nathan Patterson (£4.0m) and the suspended Darwin Nunez (£9.0m).

However, the bad week of popular defenders was worsened by the returns of Andreas Pereira (£4.5m) and Leon Bailey (£4.9m) remaining on his bench.
