Scoutcast: FPL Gameweek 8 Wildcard drafts

The dream team of Andy, Joe and Seb are back with their regular delve into the current talking points of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) community.

With Gameweek 7 non-existent and Gameweek 8 hindered by several postponements, all three have decided to activate their Wildcard chips.

As well as using underlying stats to determine their new-look squads, they look at the fixture run between Gameweeks 13 and 16 to ensure long-term security alongside short-term benefits.

All three reveal their current drafts – with one currently on a West Ham United midfield double-up – before the usual updates on the community squad and then Andy’s regular Q&A session.

      James was still getting forward but Chelsea played in a 4 back.

      Salzburg were offering loads of space out wide so he was able to get forward (and was furthest forward, on the other side of the pitch from where the ball was, when Salzburg broke to score their goal)

      It's difficult to tell whether that was a specific formation for Salzburg or that's the one he's settled on (if you can say Potter is settled on a formation that is)

      Fixtures wise, James has the better by far and is cheaper than TAA.

    Yes, Digne is a troll, but has a nice fixture in GW12 when Ars V City don't play, and Wedt Ham are away to Liverpool

      If you're after a defender at that price and want them to start gw8 and gw12 then Digne and Schar are probably your best options.

      You're right though in saying Digne is a huge troll

      People have said this the last 4/5 days in a row where he's looked even closer to the threshold and he hasn't dropped much like a lot of other players like Bruno Guimaraes. Lots and lots of chips in play

      You dont look for 'value' in premiums - they're the spots where you get to focus purely on who you think scores the most points. And he's on another level to Son, Salah, Sterling etc right now

      Was very very advanced. Probably don't buy don't sell for now but I'm happy to have him, he was their most advanced player on heatmaps/pass maps and constantly looked to get up the line and cut inside and shoot

      only had time to watch the first half, the second part will likely focus on attacking play and patterns.
