Was thinking about double Crystal P defence and rolling a trade, but now wondering about:

    Salah & Mitro -> Foden & Kane (-4)

Too short term? Waste of 4 points?

I'd do it as long as you have a plan for GW12. I don't think Mitro will play and a foot injury can drag on. And I think a rested Foden will def return..

I would say B. I’ve been watching Salah closely the last few games and he’s just so far out wide and doesn’t really impact games anymore that makes him a must keep. His stats may still look decent but on the eye test he just doesn’t seem to be the same player this season. His shooting is way off this too. Some of the shots he took against Brighton were awful. Liverpool as team this season are just not great and the main reason is that their midfield isn’t functioning anymore.

For this week and probably even next a City mid is better than Salah IMO, even with a blank in GW12. Also on current form City will beat Liverpool quite easily in GW11. I can see them winning 3-0/3-1.

Get past the lack of goals and there is an eye-test he has definitely been passing. Watching the games, he has genuine Heskey-like (don't laugh!) hold-up quality that other players would love. Experience of the team too.

Ha! The beers have been flowing on a Friday I'll admit. But just think he is a different type of forward to ones England have got already. I think Abraham and Toney are very similar. There should be one of Rashford or Wilson who are similar too.

Already made my transfer this week. Do you reckon any changes, hits, bench order?

    Pope
    Trent - James - Trippier
    KDB - Maddison - Zaha - Martinelli
    Haaland - Toney - Mitrovic
    (Ward, Saliba, Struijk, Andreas)

Here's the KDB-Salah hokey-cokey plan leading up to GW12 and beyond:
    GW11: save
    GW12: KDB > Salah (c)
GW13: Maddison, Toney > Foden, Jesus
    GW14: Salah > KDB

    1. Man Chest Hair United

I would have Andreas ahead of saliba but the rest looks good

      1. banskt
        • 12 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

Really? I wanted Saliba on the field instead of bench. Trent, Saliba and Martinelli is not the best of combinations this week but all of them could return points this week. All three could score goals from set pieces, which looks likely to be the main outlet for goals in that game. Trent free-kick, Saliba corner, Martinelli penalty.

On the other hand, if Mitrovic doesn't play, it is very unlikely for Fulham to score. Hence, Andreas may not get points if I need the first bench for Mitro's absence. For any other absentee, Andreas may be a good option.

Struijk is a strange case. Attacking and can keep a clean sheet. I don't trust him as much as my other defenders. But, then he has produced 10 points (4 + 6) exactly when called upon. Legendary.

      Solid move.

I have Saliba ahead of Andreas on my bench. Reason is: if Mitrovic doesn't play, chances of Andreas getting points are lower than Saliba, who could keep a clean sheet or score a goal from the corners. Fulham is playing a team better than them while Arsenal is playing a team worse than them.
