Another day, another deadline as Gameweek 12 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is only hours away.

Getting 11 starters out will be a problem for many FPL managers with Arsenal and Manchester City blanking, not to mention Reece James (£6.0m) and James Maddison (£8.2m) inconveniently picking up red flags over the last week.

    Does it makes sense to take a hit in order to get Dunk only for 1 gameweek? I am wildcarding in 13.

      A hit feels slightly risky given he needs to practically keep a CS to keep even/just about outscore a blanker/Neco etc.

      Could pay off, might not. Odds wise I suppose it's a bit low-reward. Having a similar thought RE: Neco out for a hit, although my scenario would be without a WC.

      The game is for fun though. If you think it be more fun, have a bit of fun and roll the dice.

        Coin toss territory. From expected points of view this isn't big decision, but I'd probably try my luck and live a little 😉

      I think his expected points are very close to 4, CS probability is close to 45% and he has perhaps about / almost 10% chance to get attacking return. Coin toss territory, but I might try my luck. Without WC I chose Guehi because of price and future fixtures.

      I guess that's Saliba or Ake, if you want to play it safe you could also include Dier. If you want to do a punt take a 2nd Newcastle defender (assuming you have Trippier).

        Hmm I already have Perisic and Trippier + Pope so wouldn't want to triple on Newcastle defense, could also look at Dunk but not so great longterm.

          Understand, then it's difficult to choose someone longterm. Joe Gomez played well on Sunday, but not sure if he stays a regular starter. Maybe a cheaper option from the teams who have easy fixtures until GW 16 (Chrystal Palace, Everton, not sure if you want to includ Bournemouth 🙂

            Yeah, I think I'll just go with Dunk, and I realised I have suitable options to bench him in future weeks, don't know if I would trust Gomez with rotation. Could also go for Coady but don't really trust Everton's defense too! Thanks for your help.

    Two options on a WC to get 11 players

    A) Martinelli > Trossard and then back to Martinelli for one week (he needs to go back to 6.3!)

    B) Cancelo > Tripp then back to Cancelo

    Any comments on my current WC-draft?

    Guaita - Ward
    Van Dijk - Trippier - Castagne - Cancelo* - Saliba*
    Salah - Mount - Zaha - Trossard - Andreas
    Kane - Mitrovic - Solanke

    Future transfers would probably be:
    Trossard > Saka
    Kane > Haaland
    Mount > Foden

    Current doubts:
    - With Saliba and Cancelo as non-playing bench, do I risk not fielding 11?
    - Leicester is not a reliable defence. Should I go for another budget defender? Guehi is an option, but then I want a different goalkeeper.

      1 - why are you sticking with saliba over other arsenal / city assets? not sure if you are losing more value in transferring them out and back in again
      2 - i don't like the plan of so many transfers in after the WC

        Because the value I had in Saliba was bigger and Haaland had to go for Kane. Didn't own Foden and Saka/Martinelli, so I couldn't keep them. I did transfer out Cancelo too soon and lost some value there. Wish I hadn't done that, because now I want him back in.

        I don't like planning for transfers either, but in this case I think it's the best plan for my team. Kane and Trossard might score big. Possibly I'll captain Trossard just for this one gameweek.

          Sounds like you've thought it through - different teams have different requirements

          I think you get 11 out this week no problems
          Guaita
          VVD, Trips, Castagne
          Salah, Zaha, Trossard, Andreas
          Kane, Mitro and Solanke

          So question is - do yuo just do the Mount to Foden swap now to save a transfer next week and bench him as well (i agree on kane and Trossard being able to score highly so wouldn't necessarily do those transfers this week... that way, minus four next week and you are set...
